Lost Viking, I hope you don't mind but I posted your review (and my comment) on another forum (on Martial Arts). I couldn't quote you, but I didn't pass it off as my own work.

How much do I spend on Pirate Lego? None. I don't buy pirate DVDs and I don't buy pirate lego. Only the real stuff!
-
That sounds excellent. It seems to me that they need to develop controllers for feet for us Kickboxers, then :-D

This'll go way of topic, so I'm sorry. I'll just hope that maybe someone will be grateful for the forthcoming pearl of knowledge. Maybe someone'll alter their mock radio conversations whilst playing with their city lego. "Over" and "Out" mean opposite things. They cannot go together. "Over" means "I've asked a question, to which I require an answer" E.G. "SitRep, Over?". "SitRep" is short for SITuation REPort which is basically what's going on at the moment. "Out" means "end of conversation" e.g. "All OK. Out" So "over and out" means "I want an answer and I don't want an answer"

In terms of what animals ARE edible and what parts of animals ARE edible, I'm lead to believe from someone who's knowledge I trust that for humans, every part of every animal IS edible, apart from a Polar Bear's liver. The reason for this is fatally high levels of Potassium contained therein. That does say what parts I WOULD eat, though!

No, it looks good. Certainly better than the previous version

I can understand why he isn't heard. On the one hand you've got the menacing tones of James Earl Jones. On the other hand, you've got a west country man: "Luke, follow me ta tha darrk soide.", "Luke, Oi am yourr faarther!" I wonder if Mr Prowse is more annoyed at not being told rather than not doing it. The first he heard was from a journalist. He didn't even know the twist in ESB

Vader our difference on the other matter, in this I agree with you. It was nice to see - to insert Hayden Christiansen in for supposed continuity- but Anakin should have been left old. He was 45, to be precise. I met Dave Prowse last year - he sure is sore that he didn't get to do the final (unmasked) scene . Hasn't spoken to George Lucas since.

Fair point. We did get a getaway van (Two Face's) afterall. I suppose with the Batcave and Arkham, LEGO didn't feel it was a good time to do a bank. Though an idea - Police HQ.

To all intents and purposes, he's a different person and his new name reflects that. The films reflect that too.
-
Errrr, yes really. New identity, new direction, new devotion. In E6, Obi Wan says most of Anakin has gone. He's more machine now than man. Besides, if your name's "Bob", you don't want to be called "John"!
-
Its more than just a new name: he's essentially a new person

No, the Mustafar set (Ultimate Lightsaber Duel) does NOT have an Anakin minifig. A point I've made on here before.
-
Have we? What's Anakin in (adult Anakin, that is): Tusken Raider encounter, Bounty Hunter Pursuit, Jedi Fighter/Vulture Droid. OK, myabe we have got enough of him. But not an E3 version with cloak OK, Obi-Wan's got around a bit What's Yoda in: Jedi Duel, Wookiee Catamaran and X-Wing. 2 out of 3 arn't cheap. One does have a Lightsaber for him What's Mace in: Turbo Tank. One version LULS, one version non-LULS. Expensive. I agree that more characters woudl be good such as Ki-Adi-Mundi and Kit Fisto. But more of Mace, Yoda and Anakin would also be good.

Looks even better with the removable cap. Evidently available in different colours. Just the underside disappoints

Star wars sets we'd like to see
captaintau replied to Clone comander Nodra 999's topic in LEGO Star Wars
A Space Slug. I see little playability value, sorry. -
That's cool. I haven't read the blog and don't intend to - purely because of time. SO, I may repeat what's in it. If so, its purely coincidence. It would be excellent if larger bricks meant different capacity. I hope the underside is also proper LEGO so as the stick could still be used in models Does it have a cap?

I don't see the need. In all other walks of life, the male variant is assumed where gender is mixed. I can't see anyone taking offence. If you're gonna have a "ladies" section, then can I also suggest an "under 30s" section, a "homosexual" section, a section for people of a particular race etc. We don't need seperation,we need to reatin universal integration. Much like LEGO kits, we are greater than our constituent parts.

I'd certainly buy it if I could afford it. Not a rip off at all. Unfortunately I think you have one thing going against you here: proximity to Christmas. If it was anytime between January and (say) August, I'd get it. You'll do well on eBay with it :'-( -

Hence "Swoosh Factor" - how well you can swoosh your model around. So (arguably), the ARC170, X-Wing, A-Wing and TIEs have a high Swoosh Factor, the Millennium Falcon has an average Swoosh Factor as its very big and bulky and Cloud City has a Zero Swoosh Factor (not counting Boba Fett who's rocket pack means he swooshes well).
