  1. I caught Alien Vs. Predator: Requiem last night. You can read my review on The Review Site. It was good. Definately worth seeing, though we see tragically little of the new Predator-Alien hybrid. The end fight was sadly lacking, too.
  2. Darth Vader, between ROTS and ANH, before he gets his lovely new TIE Advanced x1
  3. My thoughts exactly, except that the insignia is still on the cockpit piece
  4. I've also done loads of reviews, with hopefully more to come
  5. Yep, 3219
  6. Doesn't matter, problem solved. Rather than delete this, though, I'll leave it here as a tip for anyone else with a similar problem. To fix the problem, I did something really radical with the rubber bands: I doubled them over! :-$
  7. The World isn't obsessed with Star Wars... just all the sane people within it! X-D
  8. I need six black square rubber bands (part x137) for my current project. They're essential. I BrickLinked them aaages ago, but it's only this morning I've gone to use them as other parts have arrived. They're too long! Can anyone suggest how to BrickLink the same, with less length? No, moving what they're connecting further appart isn't feasible! Thanks in advance.
  9. Bought it. Thanks, Hinckley
  10. My AT-TE took a fall from it's shelf yesterday. Its turns out that the Republic didn't build them to be aerodynamic! I've lost a piece. Can't find it anywhere. A light bley (I think. Could be grey) 2x2 rounded tile. Easy to get from Bricklink. But this one has the Republic Army insignia on it. I'm thinking that the only way to get this piece will to BrickLink the piece AND a whole sticker sheet. Can anyone suggest an easier way?
  11. I meant mine |-/
  12. :-D LOL. Fair point. Oh yes, the clones had short life expectancy so humans were recruited. Regards facial fuzz, you're referring to an Officer, though, who are (in most military regimes) allowed to grow facial hair as a perk of rank.
  13. Those in the ISD arn't strictly-speaking Flick-Fire though they may have been marketed as such. For those, you hit a button to cause the launch. Those that I'm talking about are in the Batman Dragster and the TIE Crawler, just as examples. There will be plenty more.
  14. Smith_Boy, easy on the images. As much as your enthusiasm is nice to see, that's heavy on the bandwidth and not actually necessary as they're all images we've seen before. Also, is it just me, or are they particularly bright?
  15. As it should be :-P
  16. You flick (hit them with a finger after using your thumb to resist, thus building up energy to spring forward) them from behind to make them fire Hence "Flick-Fire"
  17. As the title says: Am I the only person that thinks Flick-Fire missiles are dumb? I'm all for anything that adds an element of play to a set. That includes parts that can be manually removed and used as projectile weapons. But Flick-Fire? Really? |-/ Do you find that most of the time, the flick moves the model so that the missile won't go anywhere near the target anyway?
  18. Welcome Iceman (and anyone else not previously welcomed). Please introduce yourself(s) in the New Members area.
  19. That's cool. Nice one. Are Stormies really allowed to grow facial fuzz like that, though. It seems a pretty slack regime.
  20. Erm... the Stormtrooper has glasses. I would have thought that the cloning process would have ensured perfect eyesight? Unless that's Harry "Storm" Potter? :-D
  21. Update: Making slow progress, entirely due to the time it takes for parts to arrive. I could finished it weeks ago. Today, some parts arrived. The Cocpit windscreen piece, of which there is one on the underside as well as the actual cockpit. I'd ordered one in black for the underside. A white one arrived. On checking I discovered that it was my error: I'd ordered white. On further checking on Peeron for how common it, it's not available in black at all. So I'm going with trans-black now. Then I discovered that I'd not ordered enough of one part. I've just ordered them through Bricklink through a seller that I know dispatches quickly (A Minifig is for life...). I'm also discovering that some of my mods arn't going to be possible at all, and some will be very fiddly. On the upside, I'm impressed with my Jaina minifig. I'm realising that MOCing or MODing isn't for me. Though I'll finish this project.
  22. Off topic a second: The Caped Crusader attacked me today. He hit me over the head with a Ming vase and declared "T'Pau!" Me, being a pedantic big behind, suggested that maybe he meant "KaPow!" or something like. Batman explained that "no, I had China in my Hand!" Sorry.
  23. You mean, if you'd prefer that you were given, for free, a different set of parts? :-D Jim, when you say "droid heads", do you actually mean printed domes, or just droid head parts (IE 2x2 domes)
  24. Well, it seems there's plenty of mileage in Star Wars for the moment what with live-action TV series which I suspect will expand. The future Star Wars (Cade Skywalker) also opens possibilities. I think LEGO will continue with SW until they stop making money from it, whatever make cause that. And when they do, many of us will go onto Space and then spend many hours on EB moaning about the then-current Space line could never match up the good old days of "proper" space sets (Star Wars) :-P
