That's awesome, and it includes many authentic details. If you were one of my Roman history students, I would give you an A!

I haven't seen any instructions for Castle sets in the Brickmaster or Lego Club magazines in the last 18 months or so. Most of the alternate instructions in the magazines lately have been for licensed themes.

Wow! That's a great demon. I never thought these sets were worth getting, but they seem to have some interesting parts. Congratulations on scoring one for free, Guss, and thanks for the TGV review. I wish someone would have asked me to build a set the last time I rode the train, even if the movement is annoying.

Thanks for another great review. I love this set, although I've only built the primary model so far. I keep it on a table with 4956 and enjoy repopulating it with different selections of minfigs every week or two. The review almost makes me pick up another in order to build the cafe, especially since it is such a great parts pack.

I guess 1157 medium treads was too many for me, since I was the one who sent Natman8000 that package in return for some pirate stuff. They are great parts, but I don't usually include them in my MOCs. Seeing Aaron Morse's sweet army makes me want to break out the ones I have left and build a couple of tanks. The one with the greenery and the nets is my favorite. Keep up the good work!

Metallic gold pieces definitely wear. My chest from the IJ treasure chase is losing the gold on the corners, and I've barely even touch it. I haven't noticed any of my Russian 'guard' torsos fading, but some of my old castle crusader emblems have faded.
-
I love it! The Dragon Masters were my favorite as a kid, and you've combined them really well with the newer stuff.

Has anybody ever removed the hands from this Hagrid body? I couldn't pull mine out, and I noticed that Bricklink didn't list the hands as a separate part.

+1 for Natman8000 from me, too. He shipped fast, and he's quick to answer questions. Thanks! -
Thanks, Mischa07! I also like reviews of these older sets, since my dark age lasted from about 1995 to 2006. This set I managed to get on eBay, since I just had to have my own Jar-Jar. The kaadus are also pretty great, and I love the Gungan soldier and his shield.

This has already been mentioned here in the Lego sales thread. Still, it's an amazing deal for over 900 pieces.

Nice little scene! The knighting by Darth Vader is great. Now I kind of want to make a MOC for my 100th post, but I'll probably forget. At least I have plenty of time to think about a MOC for my 500th post.

I agree that a minifig scale zeppelin would be awesome. If it included a detachable plane like in the movie, it would be perfect. I just hope the passenger compartment is big enough.
-
Great MOC! I especially like the clock on the front of the building and all of the decorations on the inside.

Thanks for another great review, WhiteFang. I agree that the soldier impulse is the better set, but this one is pretty good. The fish is a nice addition, but one of the new flame pieces would have made this set much better. If it had a fish and a new flame, I would be buying this set by the cartful.

Thanks, def! I've really enjoyed this series of reviews, since it gave me a detailed look at a bunch of sets I hadn't seen before. You also inspired me to pick up a few of those TIE bomber pieces so I could make a new astromech design.
-
That's great! The use of the Willie torso is clever, but what really makes the scene is the little OR you built for it. However, I must agree with Morten that it could use another doctor or maybe a nurse.

Nice review, thanks! This set is much better than the Assassin Droids battlepack, although getting an extra IG-88 or two isn't too bad. I was also disappointed with the inclusion of stickers when a perfectly good printed piece still exists. Still, I picked up a few of these and don't regret it. The new torso on the Clone Gunner is great, but I'm on the fence about the new helmet. Has anyone ever ordered replacement parts for a misprinted piece like Millacol88's Clone Gunner's helmet? I've considered it a few times, especially for the new castle shields where the printing is outside the lines, but I never got a misprint that was so bad I couldn't use the piece (although I've gotten one or two pieces like that when I thought I was getting a really good deal on Bricklink - beware the used piece that is half the price of all the others on Bricklink).

That's amazing! I've never been really into building mosaics myself, but looking at this great MOC I want to start.

The pictures are a bit hard to make out (maybe try again on a white background), but I like the MOC. That river baseplate works great for a drawbridge, and I the 1x1 cylinders with the lion's head pieces look good. The trees built into the castle and made with black arch pieces brings me back to some of my favorite sets from the late '80s and early '90s. Keep up the good work!

Bookcase/shelf for displaying (colour?)

I say go with the black if that's what you like better. You may have to take pictures against a white backdrop, since the glare of a flash on black is bad. I'm not much of a photographer, but you can see some pictures of my setup here. It sits on a navy tablecloth, which is mostly covered by the baseplates. -
If you do decide to put away all your Lego (maybe a good idea if you plan to invite girls over), just don't sell it. Raphy is right that you will probably want it later. It is pretty normal for guys around your age to get too busy and distracted for Lego, especially with all the peer pressure not to play with a "kids' toy." I know that I would have regretted it terribly if my collection was gone when I came out of my dark age. I just wish I hadn't listened to my mom and thrown away almost all of my instructions. Now I can't remember if I had certain sets or just stared at them in the catalogue for hours.

Sweet! It's a nice little MOC, and I'd like to see a few of them zooming around a space station.

Wow! That is amazing. I just wonder what shipping to the US would be... -
I suppose I would have voted for black as my favorite, if I hadn't been so eager to put in my vote. I'd love to see a fish used as a lightsaber hilt, but I'm away from my collection for the weekend. Maybe when I get a hold of an Ackbar figure in a few months, I can make a Mon Cal Jedi with a fishsaber.
