It looks great so far! Maybe the awning will look better if you separate it from the red around the windows. Does the house have an interior? I can't wait to see the finished product.

This is such a great design! The mansion is awesome, and I really like the tracks on the jetty. I never thought of adding tracks to a dock, but it is genius. The furniture is also amazing. Do you have some bigger pictures of it?

I love these boats. The motor on the smaller one is really clever, and I also like the clams. Is there any chance the pirates will be hijacking a tanker in the future? I'd love to see some shots of what your pirates do when they're not catching fish.

It looks good, but I agree about adding some greenery. Maybe you could make it look somwhat overgrown with a bunch of these pieces and some of these.

When I was studying in Greece last year, I only had a few sets with me. One of them was the amazing Dwarves' Mine, but I wasn't totally satisfied with the layout of the mine. I wanted it to be more defensible and decided to elevate some of the tracks. I used only the pieces from 7036 and managed to incorporate them all (I don't remember whether I used the extra pieces or not). The pictures aren't very good, but it's way too late to take any more. As a kid in the '80s, I loved classic space and castle. I was also a big fan of the original pirates lines. Like lots of people, I went into a dark ages in my teens and put away all my Lego. In 2006, I bought the A-Wing and TIE Interceptor on a whim, and the rest is history. I started out just collecting and building Star Wars, but the Fantasy Era castle sets got me into other lines as well. Fortunately, my fiancee is very tolerant, and she's let me take over the basement for all of my Lego. -soc399
