I'm not sure about the bun, but there are some Belville parts that might work for the wings. Try these, these or these. You might also think about Geonosian wings, but they are really expensive.

I just got the CW magnet set today, and I noticed that the Mace Windu fig is subtly but noticeable different from the one I got in the Republic Shuttle in January. The one without the lightsaber came in the magnet pack. Both the face and the torso seem to have changed slightly. Isn't it weird?

Vintage Minifigure Collection includes a pirate!
soc399 replied to General Armendariz's topic in LEGO Pirates
I just got this set from SAH, and I can confirm that the pirate's vest is pink. The colors in the SAH picture seem pretty close to the actual figs to me. -
I missed out on 9V trains, but it looks like you had a lot of fun. Try these or maybe these as gold bars. I have high hopes for the new power functions trains. If we're lucky, they will have the advanced controls and such that you are waiting for.

I bought a second copy of the set today, figuring I would return it if I got the wrong mustache again. Happily, I got the brown mustache this time! For those of you still on the fence, I noticed that the two boxes had different lot numbers printed on the tape that seals them. The grey mustache set had 441W8, but the box with the brown 'stache was lot 303W9. Happy hunting! EDIT: the one with the brown mustache also had Willie Scott's head instead of Marion's, but for me that was a nice bonus, too.

Knight's kingdom's Royal King's Castle is Back!
soc399 replied to Patriot720's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
It originally came out in 2006. I got it in '07 when it was half price, and I'm surprised to see it back on the site. I thought the castle was only OK, but it comes with a lot of great parts. -
You've got a great medieval village going. I'd love to see some more pictures. This page can help you learn how to deeplink your pictures so they will appear in your post here on the forum. I've been working a a little village myself, but yours puts mine to shame. Keep up the good work!

Wow! Those custom decals add so much great detail to this MOC. Do you have any plans to build more parts of a Super Target? This would also look great as part of a food court.

Thanks for the review! I got this set recently, mostly because I wanted the special troll. The sink and jack o' lantern pieces are nice, too.

Great review! This set came out in my dark ages, so I would definitely buy an updated version. I'm sure it would look great, but it would have all stickers instead of printed pieces.

I just opened my set, and it had the grey mustache. I called customer service, and the guy told me that there was no brown mustache and it was an error in the packaging and instructions. He made it seem like they might produce (or start producing again) the brown mustache head if there was enough outcry. I got my set about a month ago from the Lego store in Pennsylvania.

Great review! I love this set, and I definitely recommend getting it. It is pricey, but it's worth it.

What a great MOC! I really love the roomy interior and how all the sections connect. I always wished the passage to the cockpit on 4504 was open. Now if only I had two copies of 4504...

That is a nice little mod. I'd love to see pictures when you change it to grey pieces.

Thanks for all your comments. I'm back in the US with all my bricks now, and I'm planning to build a new Dwarves' Mine on a 48x48 baseplate. If I ever get around to it, I'll share some pictures.

A praise to Lego Replacements service
soc399 replied to The Cobra's topic in General LEGO Discussion
The replacement parts service is great. They are always so friendly when I call. I'm glad to hear you got your parts. -
That's a great landspeeder! It's so smooth and detailed. Keep up the good work!

Wow! That's a really impressive arsenal. I especially like the combination of old and new dark grey on the smaller two tanks.
-
I love the bridge out to the observation platform, and the skulls wearing shakos are a nice touch. This is a great pirate hideout!
-
This is definitely better than volume 1. I never got any of the ninja sets, so I'm looking forward to picking this one up. It would be great if they brought back the old helmet style for these sets, but it's probably out of production, too.
-
The redesign of the battering ram is great! Do you have a giant troll to pull it? A nice harness made out of chains around a big troll might be a nice addition to the MOC.
-
Thanks guys! I've got a MOC or two sitting around that I need to photograph, so keep an eye open.
-
This is stunning! Are you planning on completing the cathedral or will the finished MOC feature a cathedral still under construction?
-
Thanks for the review. I'm looking forward to reading the one on 7171. If I ever get this set, I'll definitely need to look into changing the tan to trans clear. I bet it would look a lot better.

You did a great job recreating the details of the original set. I especially love the new pirate cannons on the bottom of the plane instead of the technic launchers of the official set (in the Flickr gallery). Awesome!
