Sweet! It's a great power miners vehicle, and I love the use of power functions.

The chrome is definitely sprayed on, maybe in two layers. Shortly after finding mine, I managed to nick it in a vacuuming mishap. A nice bit of of silver chrome appeared on the helmet until I "fixed" it with a sharpie. I was so upset that I bought another one from Bricklink before the prices went down. Oh well.

Thanks for your comments, guys! I built this MOC months ago, after being mostly disappointed with the way the Temple of the Crystal Skull came together. I just haven't gotten around to photographing it until today. I thought that it would be great to show that the trolls like to kill members of all the other castle factions that I have, hence the variety of helmets decorating the walls. I tried to tie it in with the troll fortress by adding dark red highlights, but it might work better as a stand alone MOC.

I have two Tarkin heads, but neither has the dark tan triangles you mention. Both seem to be exactly like the Bricklink reference pic.

Rising from the grasslands of my backyard, the trolls' mountain fortress strikes terror into any crownies who happen to venture past. The remains of the mountain's previous inhabitants bear witness to the power of the bloodthirsty trolls, as a terrified viking watches the human sacrifice. Meanwhile, a captured wizard struggles to escape from the witches who taught the trolls their evil ways. Inside, the witch's sisters brew diabolical potions from snakes and frogs, as they investigate the secrets of dark magic. A couple more shots are in my brickshelf folder, when moderated. Thanks for looking!

It would be awesome if they included some extra pieces so you could customize it to be the RBR from episode III or episode IV. Then they could include both sets of minifigs. That might even explain why the set was called Rebel Blockade Runners. On the other hand, the plural set name is probably just an error.

Nice! I like the brick-built bird, and using epaulettes as water is very innovative. How many did it take?

I also loved this ship when I was a kid. I was lucky enough to have this in addition to the Skull's Eye Schooner and the Imperial Flagship. The poor imperials never had a chance!

I also really like the King's Castle Siege, and I agree that a town needs a centerpiece castle. Here is my town built around 7094 and the MMV: The castle really holds it together, although the MMV has more pieces for the money, including some really great stuff like the turkey and all the fish.

Lego Star Wars 10th anniversary exclusive on May 3 and 4

The FBTB front page says that it will be flat and folded for logistical reasons. -
I think it's the same material, but the long thin tentacles seem more flimsy than any part of the new Yoda head.
-
I would also love a hard plastic Kit Fisto head, but I doubt they exist. Back on the old FBTB, I think it was explained in the "Ask Lego" forum that swallowing a hard plastic Kit Fisto head would perforate a kid's bowels, hence the soft rubber.

Lego Star Wars 10th anniversary exclusive on May 3 and 4

The UCS Falcon is now on sale for $375, but I hope that isn't the special announcement. -
The UCS Falcon is now on sale for $375! Check it out. EDIT: It looks like this is part of the special promotion!

Thanks for the review, WhiteFang. I love this set and have at least four. I've been stocking up so that I can add shooting cannons to my three classic ships. I got the US non-firing cannons as a kid, so a cheap opportunity for these new firing cannons is great. Plus, the new flame and the spyglass piece make it a total win. The set also has a lot of play potential for something so small.

I had to vote town, since I don't have any trains yet. A couple of days ago I rebuilt my 6990 Futuron Monorail, and running it is so much fun that I decided to buy the Emerald Night after 12:01 tonight (gotta get that Star Wars poster). In a week or two I may have to rethink my vote.

I'm also hoping that it turns out to be more than a poster. The poster looks decent, but I was really hoping for something Lego. Even a special sale or a chance to get one of the summer sets early would be great. Only twelve more hours until we find out for sure... -
Is it definitely going to cost $110? I was hoping it would be $100 at TRU and $90 from S@H.

Mine is a Technic service pack:

I'm a boy, and I would happily add this house to my medieval town. Great work!

I'm glad my fleet recently obtained some of the new looking glasses!

According to Brickset, I have 976. I have a ton of figs that aren't included in that count, and I think the minifig collection function in Brickset still has some kinks that need to be worked out. The real answer may never be known...

When a set is so small that it can fit in a single parts bag, they print directly on the bag and don't use a box. Like Raven said, most sets this small are promos, but a polybag doesn't have to be a promo. They could probably put the impulse sets in polybags, but market research must have shown that they sell better in boxes.
