  1. Say we get 28 domination points on H05 once all points for the previous week are tallied, and then 2 more people build on it. Can we then start building on I06 or H04 by assuming a minimum of 30 domination points have been earned?
  2. ***TRANSMISSION to AXLE RESEARCH SHIP forwarded to DR. LONG, on H05*** //This is Dr. Long. Excellent work, Engineer! The research team commends you on your consideration of the scientific discoveries to be made! Any xenobiological sample you obtain will be analyzed post-haste by the brilliant minds aboard the Axle! Dr. Long out!// ***TRANSMISSION patched through AXLE*** // I'm always right. I'll be taking that drink when you get back... what was that bit at the end? You were breaking up. Remember, all exploration-related transmissions are stored at Axle. For science. So make them audible. Dr. Long out. //
  3. Very sleek ship! Perfectly fitting the Octan feel! It's got a great mix of corporate and utilitarian and smooth and stylish! Also, love the greebles and the drone! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  4. Ooh! Lovely glow effect! Also, that hovercraft's a beaut! Nice job bringing the other Octan players in too! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  5. Haha! Excellent MOC! I can totally see it being in a similar area to the Gray's station! Also, I love that bush! I think I'll use that design in my next MOC, if you don't mind, and provide some scientific analysis for it! Hail Lord Business! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  6. //This is Dr. Danielle Long. Who authorized the execution of the Livgorn sentient? The folks at Axle (the Scientific Research ship orbiting H05) will not be happy that you failed to bring it back alive for probing and disection. I hope you're at least going to file the requisite paperwork for a first encounter. *inaudible grumbling* Dr. Long out.// Nice job! We're solidifying our grasp on H05!
  7. Sylph stepped forward to inspect the old sign.
  8. Ha! Nice! (Also, is this our first humanoid Alien encounter? Fitting it should be with the grays! ) Also, wow! You've got a lot of purple tiles! Excellent work! Hail Octan! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  9. Maybe that was enough dick jokes?

  10. Agreed! Man, I wish we had a private channel in which to discuss strategy.
  11. Fine! The sausage is out of my pocket.
  12. It's just one little wiener, boss! You won't even miss it! If it helps, you can take it out of my pay check!
  13. I'm so sorry! Here! Take a plump juicy sausage from Chez Albert! on the house tonight!
  14. Lovely landscaping! I can't help but wonder if a holy hand grenade is necessary to deal with those Bloody Bufo's! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  15. Thanks all! I must say, now that I'm looking at the pictures, I'm not too pleased with my "water" effect. I think I will change that tonight and update the pictures tomorrow. Better a flat brown that a weird blocky effect. hehe. Thanks though! The foliage was my favorite part! Feel free to use my designs, fellow H05ers! Also I brightened the pics too much! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  16. "I think we aught to better assess the plight of the forest." Stated Sylph. "I say we go West... but it's up to the party leader, of course."
  17. Looks like it! Oh crap! I forgot to make dick jokes!
  18. Nice build, Pilot! Simplistic but stylish. Also, I gotta commend your photography! Those are some sharp pictures you've taken! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  19. "Log date 316, This is Dr. Danielle Long, recording from the surface of planet H05, or Livgorn. My Sc106 probe drone and I successfully landed at 1200 hours Farmolis time... which translates to roughly mid-morning here, although the days are faster. Sc106 and I are scouting the immediate vicinity of my landing point for signs of hostile life and to collect samples. Supposedly there are deposits of Awesomnium beneath the ground not too far from here. I will look into this. First observation: This place reeks of urine. Likely this is due to abnormally high concentrations of urea in the atmosphere. I suspect this has to do with the wildlife. To confirm my suspicions, I have tasked Sc106 with the collection of multiple samples of the native "Flora" and "Fauna." The air is breathable. I imagine that means these "xeno-plants" are conventionally photosynthetic. I cannot wait to perform experiments on these xenobiological organisms in my lab... and get out of this fetid fen. Second observation: I should have worn a heavier jacket. It's positively frigid, and I'm currently within the tropical zone. Status update complete. Dr. Long, signing off." //Survey// //Specimen Acquisition// ~Dr. Long
  20. You chose the right corporation, colleague! (Also it's awesome that you're bringing your irl experience into your builds!) Hail Lord Business! I worry that we wouldn't have enough players to do that. It's probably better in the beginning to establish a foothold on strategic positions before we begin our more diverse expansion. Hail Lord Business! Ah! Diplomacy is always a sound business practice! I just question the forgoing of such a strategically sound location as I06. Even if we're friendly with Kawashita, that won't stop them from using the ring if they can. H05 is a good stepping stone. Also, nice WIP!
  21. Ok, another two questions: 1. Is it mandatory for a group to have "Domination" of a planet for individuals to move on to another planet? or is it just mandatory that the group have domination points on that planet. for instance, if Octan dominates G07, but the Kawashita takes it over, does that mean Octan troops cannot build on G08 if they have not already done so? Also, if Octan has like 5 domination points on G07, could they then begin to build on G08? Also, a Question about Aliens that I don't remember being answered: are Alien builds allowed on planets with "No Alien activity"? ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  22. I'd suggest H05. It has the same gate to H04 (and therefore, a pathway to Mithril) as G05, but with the added bonus of a gate to I06, an outer ring planet, and a highly strategic asset. I personally agree with Wick that we should have gotten started in the other direction to secure the pathway to Copper, since Kawashita seems like it's going to be a bigger threat than Mantis, but it is a bit late to divert forces this week. As long as we secure I06 next wave we should be off to a good start. They are one of my most prominent features.
  23. You could; a member of Kawashita has done the same. There are no dominion points on Homeworld, so the Corporation will not get much strategic expansion from your build, but we will get Awesomnium as we would normally from an Awesomnium rewarding planet. Also, you will of course get credits towards your character. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  24. "Good thinking." Remarked Sylph, pulling out his shovel to dig through the dirt to see if he could find anything.
  25. I have a question: if I were to create a MOC that featured either my character getting kidnapped by another corporation, or her research being sabatoged, or something along those lines, I would still get points towards my own corporation, right? ~Insectoid Aristocrat
