Harry Potter: Wizard's Duel - Duelling Club
XimenaPaulina replied to ADHO15's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Oh so close! Round 3 DS sent! -
Finally they're out! I'm really excited about these. Arealight is truly doing a great service to LSW fans by providing clone helmets that are not released by TLG (yet). I just ordered the whole helmet set a while ago, and multiples of the ARF helmet for my Lightning Squadron. This is actually a perfect alternative to buying multiples of the upcoming Clone Trooper BP just for the ARF troopers.

Sweeping generalization, sheez. Not because you have two Rex's means other people don't have the right to get them right? I think this Geonosis set is the best way to get Rex in an inexpensive set. It just so happened, that me (and like others), who currently don't have Rex are of course delighted that we'll be able to get them in a regular set plus an updated Luminara and a whole bunch of other stuff. Er... bricklick? I've been using them for quite a while now. And er...? What's with the irrelevant 'too young' comment? (I'm 28 BTW, perfectly legal for paypal transactions)

Harry Potter: Wizard's Duel - Duelling Club

Slytherin Practitioner Johann Peterschmut versus Ravenclaw Student Philius Pylos Round 3 Johann Peterschmut | 4 _____________________Philius Pylos | 2 Silencio! - 0 __________________________________Mid - 1 Protego! - 0 __________________________________Mid - 0 Low - 0_____________________________________ High - 1 Crucio! - 1____________________________________Low - 0 Mid - 0_______________________________________Mid - 0 Health: 2_________________________________Health: 1 After a dominating second round in which the Slytherin Practitioner furiously clawed his way back into the game to turn the tables around, Philius is determined to make a comeback of his own, immediately attacking with a spell that hits Johann on the body. The Ravenclaw once again casts the same body shot but the Slytherin blocks with a Protego this time. The practitioner then attempts to hit Philius on the legs, and gravely miscalculates as the diminutive Ravenclaw dodges the attack, lunges into the air, and strikes Johann with a dizzying head spell. With the intense duel now even, Philius attempts to sweep practitioner with a low spell, but Johann sees and opening and unleashes a crucifying Crucio spell that electrocutes his rival. Sensing the end is near, the Slytherin casts one final spell to put the final nail in the coffin, as Philius feebly deflects the attack, but then falls unconscious to the ground, defeated yet again. Winner: Johann Peterschmut! Congatulations Admiral Ron! Still undefeated, great 2nd round comeback and eventual victory. Valiantly-fought Professor Flitwick, your final round comeback just fell 1 point short, better luck next time. You may now update your character profiles accordingly. -
Thanks for the kind comments Legoman. Yeah, 'gotta give some love to other less prominent background SW vehicles. Thanks Blackice! I do hope TLG will make this as a set in the future, so everybody could have one (Set #2222 sounds good).

Looks great! Very well-designed and even better-built! I'm lovin' the all-black with a bit of trans-lime color scheme. The heavy weaponry is certainly intimidating (double gattling guns, long range lasers, and medium cannons). Great overall job Brickviller!
-
Lovely mini as always Christopher, accurate to the real thing once again. And clever use of the Bionicle piece for the front part.
-
Certainly very impressive creations Malravion! Those are such amazing combination of Bionicle parts with system pieces to come up with an advanced milirtary machinery MOC. Great start in Eurobricks, welcome and we're more than happy to have you here.
-
Impressive presentation of your custom products, brciktw! I just love those outside shots. And you even got a model to promote it for you, nice!
-
He already did, and it didn't this disappoint - just look at this lovely creation --> MOC: Stewie Griffin

Impressive customs as always tin7, great job! You're doing a great service to Lego HP fans filling out the missing characters. Fluer looks pretty, while Neville's face is spot-on! Keep it up! -
No problem. Now it looks much better! Good luck in the contest!

Hi Webcam 2010, I think you have to deeplink the photos for this entry to become valid. If you need any help, just follow these simple steps: Regarding deeplinking photos, since you're using flickr, here's what you have to do: - Right click the photo, in the View all sizes, click Medium 640 (or your preferred size), then Right Click on the photo again, choose Properties, then copy the Location. Then go to the Edit Post, click the insert Image icon, paste the URL then click Insert Image, and Voila! Your image is posted, like this one: EDIT: I took the liberty to deeplink your photos. Just highlight these photos, copy it, edit your post, and paste this. I'll remove these photos from my post once you already put them on your post. Hope that helps! Looking forward seeing your completed entry.

No problem fallenangel327, I completely understand. Regarding the landing gears, even though I wanted the V-Wing to have landing gears, if the real design doesn't have any then I'd understand tha lack of it in the official set (I'm really not familiar with the overall design because of the little exposure of the V-Wing in the movies). The 8088 ARC-170 does have a flat underbelly for landing, the problem with the official set was it was shorter than what it should've been (1-2 bricks higher would have been perfect). And yeah, I also noticed the odd numbering of the 2011 sets (unlike this year's 808x - 809x series), but it's obviously just a small issue. Lastly, I sure hope you're wrong (in a good way) on your assumption of the 'fake' sets, because everyone would really want to get an updated Luminara and those who were deprived of Rex before.

Yeah flickr. Easy solution - I use another account. Back on topic, I just realized that the barrel was raised to accomodate the firing thingy below it.
-
Proton Cannon, what else? Anyway, here's a comparison pic with the real thing. The barrell and the headlights should've been positioned lower, and the twin headlights smaller. But that can be easily fixed with a bit of modding.

This is just EPIC! I love this very much! My most favorite character of my most favorite cartoon of all time! Thanks for doing this car_mp. You really did a great job getting the right look of Stewie in brickbuild, the use of the antenna piece really gives him the Stewie-evil-baby-facial expression.

I think they are just one piece (like the lego flashlight), you get them straight out of the box.

Thanks for adjudicating CM. DS sent! -
I had a good laugh reading your post, now wonder how elated you are with the upcoming Geonosis set. I agree, the Battle for Geonosis set is really the perfect chance for people to pick-up Rex in an inexpensive way. I missed Rex in the AT-TE, and I've been unsure getting him off BL (too pricey IMO), so this is a good move by TLG. Not to mention that sweet new Luminara fig. This set has certainly jumped on top of my 2011 buylist.

No problem, pedro, we completely understand. Wishing you all the best with the baby! -
Wow, this is just a splendid Halloween MOC! I really love the lightning effect outside, and the overall details are just amazing - interior, exterior, even the base - all very cleverly-concepted and well-built. This is a sure winner in the contest. Congratulations on this impressive creation Capt'n Spaulding!
-
Ooh, this is an amazing Bantha MOC, great job BaronSat! I think the size is just perfectly fine. Besides, the highly-accurate brickbuild of it more than shadows the size issue. I really like the studded skin-effect, gives it the hairy texture of the real creature. I would love to see a herd of these grazing the Tatooine desserts together.

I belive this is your official entry? Now, this one is better, glad to see the photos now running. Nice entry Artemis, I like the custom painted hair. Good luck in the contest!

Star Wars: The Clone Wars: season 3 discussion
XimenaPaulina replied to Corvus's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I'm excited to see Vos finally appearing in the next episode! I hope the series will do justice on his characterization, as I personally think he's one cool jedi with dark-side tendencies. That's a bummer if that assumption is true. That means Vos got beat (electrocuted) by cunning Bane to get ahold of his lightsaber. Darn you Bane! We will get him in an upcoming set, I'm pretty sure about that. They already leaked his minifig in the T6 mis-rumour, so it's just a matter of time until we get the Vos fig.
