1. As much as I like it, the paper sail thing bugs me to no end. I wonder how much difference in cost it would've been to be something more material-like and durable. Stickers and paper accessories inside my Lego purchases ALWAYS go straight into a box, never to be seen again. And like, here's a set where the most giant piece is just that. Pity. How many sections make up the bottom of the ship? (It's not all one piece, is it)? o__O
2. Only 344 pieces? It might just be the excellent photography, but the set looks so much fuller. Hell, I want TWO. :-D There's some single parts in there I would love duplicates of.
3. At the risk of sounding stupid, how are those pics "new" to the ones Sir Dillon posted on the June 9th? ...I'm missing something, aren't I? ...different colored core on top?
4. What might be the earliest date of spewing such sweet info in our general direction?
5. I know, I know lol. Just sayin'. :-D They really do make me wonder sometimes, as far as color blindness goes.
6. The different colored axles used to hold the teeth on really stick out. It detracts from it's look greatly.
7. Lol, no, you didn't HAVE to do a review. Cool pics though. I don't know myself when it exactly came out, but it was at my Walmart at least month ago. And they're not the fastest guys in the world sometimes. :-D Why?
8. Next: scalped
9. But the council is run by OCP, who held a meeting earlier that day to try out their new ED-209. You know the rest...
10. Next: prosthetic
11. But, Dave likes him a good fag. That didn't go well with the shoddy workmanship on the pipe's joint seal.
12. A (pictorial) review on this would be sweet! Closing as per request.
13. Unfortunately, you don't get too far. (Wacky Packages. Last thing I thought anyone'd post). X D
14. Funny story? Hmm... actually, I just pictured the guy giving the Exo-Force heroes a looooong speech to pump them up for battle, followed by running down into a dark basement 5 minutes later to start up the escapemech, scared shitless. Dark humor, I know. :-D The dramatic lighting was what I pictured the basement looking like, just a single light swinging overhead. (Actually, it's an LED flashlight / cigarette lighter with about 7 LED nodes).
15. R2-D2 = Blocky crap. Nice source of white. Vulture Droid Starfighter - Looks "common", how all those episode 1-3 ships all look the same). Electronic AT-AT walker (with 2 MF) - GET this UNFINISHED turd away from me. RX-6 - ...maybe. Maybe. Lots of nice little parts, But still, hardly a masterpiece of a statue. None of the above.
16. This'll probably be dq'ed, as I have no old-faced minifigs or gray hair. >__< Buuuuuut, might as well post it anyway. X-D Escapemech. GALLERY, when public. GALLERY, when public.
17. H-hey... I'M a cheap, visually disgusting hybrid! *sad*
18. :-X :-X http://www.geocities.jp/gyakugene/Obj_Kar....good.+X+D%0D%0A
19. Incense. ; ) Would it be better to dip it in coffee first, then apply the glue? You know, to lock it in to the fibers better in cases of humidity / wetness? So like anything they're resting up against when unbuilt doesn't get stained? Cool idea by the way. I never think about the pirate lines much, but when I see them built, it gets me inspired. EDIT: Ah, just thought. Instead of burning the cloth, are there any hole-punchers at Walmart (or anywhere?) that match the Lego-sized holes? On a newer looking sail, the edge burn would be more evident. (Also, the gluing step would come after the holepunching step, to secure the threads on the rim of the hole).
20. Bah. Like more than half the "hot" chicks who are popular today I can't stand. They're all pretty much annoying people and nothing all that rarely spectacular in looks. Fooey. Anyway, you have these AquaRaiders, it's been hinted that Bionicle might be water-themed, and Hobbes translated one of the Bionicle accessory pack names as possibly meaning "octopus launcher". What's with all the water next year? And by that, I mean, "AWESOME! Look at all the water-themed sets next year!"
21. So we might be looking at octopus throwers lol.
22. http://objection.mrdictionary.net/go.php?n=806863 Long overdue mayorification of Hobbes. *sweet*
23. The colors are a bit off, like no white sleeves, black Vakama mask instead of tan, no black pants... but the configuration of it is pretty sweet. The rock on his head is probably the #1 best use anyone could have for that part, very clever stuff. You look at it & there's no confusion as to what you're supposed to be seeing.
24. Hahaha... that's kinda' cool. Never saw a moment stuck in time done with Lego before. I bet there's not too many different instances where one could do this effect. This one was just perfect though. X D
25. I love you. You don't know how many times I ask myself that. I know Lego "master builders" are given a more or less set amount of parts and told to build something out of it, but I don't care whose toes I may step on by saying this so bluntly: Lego Master Builders are not that good. Lego should hire some of the brilliant builders seen on Brickshelf. That said, crappy nose. But it's a decent set for parts. It has the problem I have with people who build mechs out of system. ...They look GREAT as thumbnails, but up close... no. Just... no. Slopes are not impossible to incorporate into this model, as much snotting is open to someone when the model's that large. Then again, probably the whole point in Lego (constantly) making sets that look "incomplete" is to have builders buy more sets to fix them. But I'm being (honestly) brutal. It has the potential to be a pretty nice set. Just needs a few dollars of work before it's acceptable. (I'm guessing this set came out MOSTLY due to people complaining about the recent <insert that tiresome argument> jet, so it might be another reason it looks slapped together on the front... the lead time of manufacturing).
