  1. So this is really cool. I have been thinking a lot about automating part of the layout we used. Last Legoworld (in NL) we had a big layout but ended up with only one train driving at the same time. We had to switch manually, I think the arduino can do a lot for us here. I really appreciate how you started in small steps, this will definitely help, and yes you finally made me choose between the pi and arduino. I am going to start simple as well, just by doing some basic learning and then start with automation of the train, switches and railcrossing. I think that is enough for now :) As I am a newby, I do have a question. In video 1, you connect the L298N Motor driver to a power supply, what kind of power supply can you use here. Is this just an old 12V powersupply where you cut off the end and used both wires to plug in the L298N?
  2. Looking good, although I am wondering what it would look like if you joined cart 1+2 and 4+5, because now there are 5 small wagons. In the past I did a try as well to RC the 8404, and I managed to squeeze both the batterij + RC in the middle cart. It takes a bit more work to switch the battery, but it worked for me. 8404 mod 4 by aawsm, on Flickr
  3. In some countries (like Belgium) not all applications are enabled in the market, it also seems there is a restriction depending on the provider you use. Check a local android forum or more advice
  4. Wow, this is a really cool app. I just found out about it 3 days ago, and have been using it every day now. Prices seem to be working fine in the Netherlands. Actually I was looking for a simple app/database that I can have on my android where I can save a price of a lego set with the company that sells it. Just to know what the cheapest price is to have a quick look when I run into a set at a local shop I visit. The getprice app is helping me very much in this. Thanks.
  5. What is the harm to the forum to open it up for tapatalk? I browse multiple forums via tapatalk, and their webmasters activated it within 10 minutes. Besides this it is also free of charge. Can it be discussed between the admins please to enable this ? I would very much appreciate this.
  6. very nice choice for a MOC, can't weet to see it in real (the render already looks great) A small suggestion from my side would be to make the first cart a bit longer, it looks longer in reality as well. For your question, I guess you would need the inverted slope 1x1 that does not exist :) No but seriously, I see some opportunities when you use these and I doubt however if they are available in the right color btw.
  7. Thanks for the review. It does not look like a real special set, but looking at the # of parts compared to the price it might be an interesting set to put on my shopping list. I must say however that I do not really understand the comparison to set 10128. The difference is not in the number of rails, but in the building and the walk bridge :-/
  8. Great new pictures. I did not even know the set was available allready. And so close to my country Thanks
  9. OK, I do not own any 9V track, but why would you need that. Looking at the existing track (which is available on bricklink BTW) I do not see this as well.
  10. ahh, thats where all the orange went Cool build, too bad it is very difficult to make it really round, but you did a good job. I like it, it could fit in any park area
  11. And if you are having rethoughts on creating an old one, have a look at the new one coming soon Train Station
  12. Sounds great, maybe you can show us something you have so far (made in LDD or in real), otherwise it will be a shot in the dark I guess.
  13. Renault is a good object for Lego with their squire trucks. I have seen a lot of them in 8 or more wide, but never in 6, I must say this one looks really nice. I am wondering how this one would look with some smaller wheels. Nice job
  14. Looking strange .... but indeed a great admission. Nicely done with very good details (like the smoke)
  15. Looking good (and expensive) so far. Keep the pictures coming ...
  16. Nice MOC, love the truck with the fence parts on it. Would be nice maybe to include some doors to prevent entry via the dukes of hazard method. It gives me lots of inspiration to build some surroundings around it
  17. That is an impressive collection of 6-wide fire vehicles. The number 2 looks cool and just like a hummer. Very nicely done. Also the 2 big trucks are very nicely build. Good job
  18. White or transparent sticker paper is available for laser or inktjet. Printing looks fine, the only difference between them is that the transparent is really expensive (about 2,5€ per paper). Wow, cool site
  19. Nice MOC, like how you added the inside detail and created spacde for the workers. The change of color is working out very good. Some small criticism would e that it looks too high compared to the width.
  20. Interesting build. Never seen these type of wagons before. Looking at the inside I see that you used a lot of technique to build this thing, I must say that the comparison to the original is difficult because the original contains a lot more windows. Yours, don't get me wrong, looks more like a driving vault. Anyhow, it looks cool with the workers in front and you even managed to motorise it
  21. That second axle looks really good on it. I also like how you added the clips to attach the chain on it, simple, but effective. Nice job
  22. Nice MOC's. The GSX is builded in a great color scheme and looks really great with the SNOT technique you used. The GP proto is a bit to gray for me and therefore difficult to see how it looks in real.
  23. That is really a nice set of cars. Exactly the right scale and completely detailed which would look great in every layout
  24. Wow, that is a truly amazing extension of the original build. Not only the building, but I believe that all the small details like the tiled track, the surroundings, the signal pole, etc make the finishing touch.
  25. I guess my actual layout at the moment is 0x0. However my planned layout will be 3x6 meter ...
