  1. I think alot of people forget that knights kingdom II had one really good set. 8813 Battle at the pass. It had some really good pieces, like a castle door and a stairs piece with is really useful. Also came with plenty of weapons. Best of all, plenty of minifigs! 10 minifigs to be precise. Each one of them comes with euro armor. 10 euro armours in one set. Its a really good set I'd say. Pity it is getting a little rare these days though. apart from that set, my other pick of the top five are: 2) 10193 Medieval Marketplace This one needs no explanation. Everybody sings praises of this set. 3) 7094 Kings castle siege The best castle set I've seen in recent years. Very nice modular design. 4) 7037 Tower raid Useful pieces, cool siege tower that works well, plenty of minifigs, weapons and accessories. 5) castle chess set great army builder, great way to get all the rarer minifigs like the princess, king and evil wizard.
  2. According to wookiepedia, "The virus was notorious for being able to affect every species in the galaxy and having no known cure" So basically all the brilliant minds in the entire star wars universe could not find a cure for one deadly virus that threatened the lives of every sentient being in the universe, except for one naboo captain by the name of typho. Oh well I am a little too harsh on the series, but I guess thats what happens when you've studied biology in college and know all about how notoriously difficult it is to eradicate a virus and you don't just find cures overnight. I know the series is targeted at younger audiences but its really laughable from an adult's point of view. It just doesn't make sense from a logical point of view, not to mention from a medical viewpoint. I still watch the series though, the action scenes are great and I can't wait for the upcoming ryloth trilogy. Hope that would inspire lego to produce some twi'leks and hopefully aalya. On a side note, did anyone notice that the planet where the reeksa root is found is called Iego, which looks really similar to the word lego?
  3. 78a Hi guys, I'm relatively new to eurobricks, and I've been posting quite frequently in the pirate forums, so I'd thought I'll show everyone a ship of mine. Today I'd like to show my modified imperial flagship. I've had it since I was a child. To date, it is still complete, but the white pieces were horribly yellowed so I replaced there with red bricks. I also made the cannons on the ship rotatable and that it can fight ships on both sides and added a figurehead to the bow. The ship's bow with its figurehead. The ships stern. Its essentially identical to the imperial flagship, except for the colors and the decorative flower. A shot of the interior. The ship's crew. A shot of the crew and ship in action. Finally a shot of imperial flagship with BSB for size comparison. cheers!
  4. nice little moc you've got there, what piece did you use for the sandals? I'd agree that the sandals are misplaced. farms are usually muddy and wet and those type of shoes would just get stuck in the mud. Most farmers would have probably gone barefooted. Also, geta is a japanese footwear, and the chinese did not wear it.
  5. A medieval city? Sounds really good, can't wait to see it!
  6. For those who have not watch the latest episode, I might be posting a little spoilers, just to warn you guys. I love the clone wars series, but I found the recent episode a little lame. How does captain typho, who is neither a scientist or a medical professional, find a cure for the blue shadow virus so easily? And so coincidentally, the cure is some root located deep in seperatist territory, at the bottom of some dangerous ravine or something. The writers of the series need to make a little more sense.
  7. Really nice ship you've got there. I love it when the original flavor of the ship is preserved. Also, you ships cabin is really nicely done. Love the amount of detail and how you managed to seperate it into 2 compartments. The stern of the ship with the wall pieces at an angle is really unique.
  8. Looking good so far! Can't wait to see more of this famous ship! Correct me if I'm wrong, but I do believe this will be one of first ship-of-the-line I've seen around here. It totally dwarfs majority of the lego ships out there!
  9. Looks really nice! You seem to have gotten everything right, the color, the shape of the stern, the rigging... can't wait to see your ship in action!
  10. Nice ship! Love how it looks like a bigger and meaner version of the caribbean clipper. I agree though that the rigging seems a little squashed.
  11. Looks really similar to the lego one. The paint job is really well done!
  12. the two greedo seem similar apart from the difference in face paint. So I'd say the cantina one isn't that worth it now. Star wars minifigs in general are very pricey, and non-human characters seem to fetch even higher prices.
  13. It looks really sleek and cool, not to mention how accurately it is built.
  14. Nausi your black falcon army is really impressive. Its way bigger than mine! You need a bigger castle for them! Anyway heres the forestmen army you requested. Its really small, but I plan to increase its size with the impending elves faction next year.
  15. Nice ship you've got there. Its so accurately built and the attention to detail is amazing. The sails and rigging looks really good too.
  16. 2009 looks to be a really good year for star wars fans. I love how Home one is bristling with so many new and exclusive minifigs. Echo base looks like its gonna be a bestseller.
  17. Drawbridge defense is looking as good as ever. A sad jester? Thats pretty interesting. The golden knight is gonna be a must have for me. Pure gold goodness! The troll fortress is also looking alot better. Whats really cool about it is the 2 new trolls with their prints. How cool is that. I hope that it comes with enough orcs though. 4 orcs and 2 trolls aren't enough to defend a fortress. I'm actually ok with getting the the kings chariot if it isn't too pricey. The king with his printed torso, along with the 2 fully armed orcs are the main draw.
  18. The landscaping is really well done. Really feels like a dense woods. The modified helmet on the tribesmen is a nice touch too. But I think the best are your romans. Great choice of torsos, and the standard barrier looks really cool too. Reminds me of the opening scenes from Gladiator.
  19. Nice medieval village. Tudor-style houses are just so pretty. The church is really impressive too. Maybe you could show us the interior of the buildings too?
  20. I've looked through all your mocs for CCCVI and I am utterly speechless. Totally amazing creations you've built! The sheer size of each, along with the attention to detail and beautiful landscaping... I can see why you won the master builder title. Congrats!
  21. 6192 pirate building set x2, 8396 soldier's arsenal x4, 8397 pirate survival x2. oh and this arrived at my door yesterday... Here's a very big hint as to what it is... I haven't built it yet, but I bet its worth every penny I spent.
  22. black and white seems to be the best color scheme possible for a ship. The dash of red in the ship is pretty well done too. The stern of the ship is usually one of the hardest part to built and you seem to have gotten the shape pretty correctly. Really nice ship you have got there overall. Can't wait to see it with its rigging and sails done up and in action on the high seas.
  23. medieval_total_lego, welcome to eurobricks! I've seen yours armies before and I never tire of looking at them. Absolutely gorgeous. I love the custom sheilds and helmets on your BF and crusader knights.
  24. I don't really have any useful suggestions on lowering cost, but I'd like to say how impressed I am by your creation. You must have spent alot of time on the computer for this project. I love the use of those fabuland pieces(if I am not wrong) for the arches and decorations. Love your lego furniture too. Looks like I have to copy some of your designs for my mocs.
  25. Same here. I voted for arrest of palpatine back then. I'd love to have more jedi minifigs, especially the non-human ones that would have came with arrest of palpatine. The new minifigs are really great, but its gonna be really pricey to collect them all since alot of them come in large sets.
