  1. wow thats pretty cool! love your creativity!
  2. nice moc! I love the interior and how detailed it is. hope the cat and dog which are placed together won't fight!
  3. Hi guys, i'm currently staying in melbourne, near the city center. Does anyone know of places with good prices for lego? To date the best I can find is bigw, even though their range is limited. Hope someone can help me out here. Thanks!
  4. Nice moc! this is why I generally avoid burgers... everything goes into them!
  5. Thanks for the advice. I'll take it into consideration when I rebuild the ship. I choose red because that was the only color I had enough pieces to rebuilt the ship in. All the original white pieces are very yellowed.
  6. Nice soldiers you've got there. However I'm a little confused, are they german or american soldiers? The helmets are on german design, but the middle guy holds a thompson sub-machine gun, which was used by american troops. Also the guy on the left seems to be holding a m249 squad automatic weapon, which was non-existent during WW2.
  7. Woah nice ship you've got there. Seems really accurately built and the attention to detail is amazing.
  8. Happy birthday! Hope you got some nice lego sets as a present.
  9. Amazing work you've got there. The rocks are really nicely done. I also love dwarven jester and female dwarf.
  10. That's some interesting data you've got there. Thanks for taking the time to compile it. Price per piece is going up... not good...
  11. Great review, I am really tempted to buy it. Does anyone know if it is exclusive to TRU only?
  12. Your bridge instantly reminded my of the sleepy hollow bridge in the movie, before I even read your description. That means you've built it really accurately. However I do have one question, should there be water running under the bridge, or maybe a dried up river perharps? After all, bridges are meant to pass over rivers right? Great job btw, looks really spooky.
  13. You've got 2 nicely built cars there. The pickup is perfect in my opinion. The black car is nice too, but maybe if you have this piece you could place it above the wheels.
  14. This MISB problem came along when I had too little time and too much lego. I have several MISB set from the legends series that I never got around to open. Now they are worth so much that I would never dare open them. My rationale is simple, I could easily trade or sell that rare MISB set for something bigger and better, like say my black falcons fortress for a medieval market village hopefully. Of course, I wish I had opened them in the past when I first bought them, so that they will give me hours of fun, but now that so much time has past, I feel its too late and I'd much rather make use of the inherent value of MISB sets to get me even more lego.
  15. Nice moc you've got there. Very funny as well. Love the pose of the minifig and great choice of hairpiece. I've never seen the face before, which minifig's head did you use?
  16. Star wars legacy is really dark man. Its like the galactic empire all over again. However I would buy the minifigs too if they were made. The sith lords are just way too cool in that series. I just can't get enough of the jedis, be it good or bad.
  17. Thats very sweet of you. I bet she must have loved them. Nothing better than sharing your love for lego with your loved ones.
  18. I don't think the star wars books have that big a fan base. Lego is still primarily targeted at children, and those books are meant for young adults. NJO is kinda dark man. Don't wanna write any spoilers here, but some important characters died. As seen from the replies in this thread that the section of star wars history is still relatively unknown. I don't think they'd sell that well if they made sets of it.
  19. Same here! We used to build castles together. Now I play and build alone... =( I find the design pretty weird too. I'll be sure to work on redesigning the cabin in the future, but right now I'm running really short of red bricks. Besides, I'm leaving for overseas studies soon and I'll be seperated from my lego collection for almost a year. Thanks for all the comments by the way, you've all been so kind and helpful!
  20. Love the zulu warriors! Great choice of torso!
  21. I wonder why lego would wanna make toy story stuff? That movie was shown ages ago, and I wonder is there that big a popularity for it now? That doesn't sound very exciting. Prince of persia sounds interesting though. I love the movie "kingdom of heaven" and I've always wanted to build a persian army and this might be a good chance to do it. Hopefully most of the sets from this theme can be adapted to making crusades-related scenes. Look forward to recreating my own kingdom of heaven scenes!
  22. Valkyrie Touching movie.
  23. The engraving on the cannons are a really nice touch. Your ships hull is really nicely done too. Love how you planned everything out so nicely and constructed the hull carefully according to your plans. Almost makes this look like major engineering project rather than a lego build. wish I had your talent in ship building! Keep on building, I'm can't wait to see more!
  24. Thanks for the kind words Cap'n Blackmoor! I'll give the ship a good clean if I have the time. I'll let you in on a little secret though, I am the little brother ! Sadly my older brother is not that interested in lego anymore and I'm the one taking care of our childhood collection.
  25. Well there are KKI and KKII but I do believe you are refering to KKII here. KKII had really ridiculous colors. Purple and light blue were the worst. The designs were also terrible, especially the castles. And as usual way too many catapults. I also hated the swords. Way too large and unwieldy. They actually had quite a good evil faction though. KKI is actually quite nice. I love the introduction of the broad brim helmets. The queen and princess minifigs were also really nice. The catapults and siege machines were nicely designed, stable and mean-looking. The only downside was the castle design. It was really empty with too many weak points for enemies to attack.
