  1. Yep! That's the closest thing I had to the official jester.
  2. Just wondering, where have you read that the Vaders will be in the upcoming summer sets? If they are already assorted in the January sets, at least in America, I wouldn't think LEGO would put a whole bunch more in the summer sets. Or are you only talking about the Vaders in Europe?
  3. They are most certainly in others. People have been reporting getting them in Battle Packs, and the Attack shuttle. That means: they are in all the sets. Not just the one anniversary set.
  4. You know, I really hoped no one would look at it this way. I myself am an Orthodox Jew, and I consider this just funny. Well, I built it. This is in no way offensive to me at all, and I hoped no one else would take offense. I am not trying to say that Rabbis are fools, they're not! I'm just entering a contest, saying "Here, my jester is a Rabbi." If I changed the title to "Rabbi Jester," would that offend you less? OK, title and all mention of "Fool" changed to "Jester." I hope that helps.
  5. My Jester is religious (you'll see which religion in a moment), so he only jests for the king from Sunday to Friday. On Saturday, he is the... Torah Reading Rabbi Jester This is a cutaway of the Jester's synagogue, or shul in yiddish, in which he is reading the Torah. Two more angles of the Rabbi Jester reading the Torah. To explain who everybody else is around him: to his direct right is the man who was just called to the Torah for an Aliyah, a section of the week's Torah portion being read for him. Next to the man who is being called for his Aliyah is the man who had just been called to the Torah for the last section. The other two men on either side of the table are called Gabbis, and they stand there for the duration of the Torah reading. Since this scene only has facades, here is a look through the back of the Ark, where the Torah itself is kept. Other parts of this scene are the Jester's wife, who is sitting in the women's section... ...and the other men listening to the Torah being read. And one final look from his back where you can see the front of the Ark better. I hope you enjoyed! There will be a few more pictures here. EDIT: Title changed. NOTE: This is not intended to be offensive in any way. It's just a contest entry. Other people have Jester Drug Lords and whatnot, so what's wrong with a Jester who is also a Rabbi?
  6. I looked at the video, but I didn't hear anything about how to find the Chrome DVs. All he said was that there is a website address on the package that he thinks only people who got the DV should know. That website is the one posted above, on lego.com. Could somebody explain if I'm missing something here? (Off topic-ish, do you notice that on the website link posted above it says they have some super-secret projects they can't even talk about? That's pretty neat!)
  7. He was saying that the new one will fit on a shelf, not that the UCS can fit on a shelf. I also am not too interested in a model without minifigures, but collectors or model-lovers will probably be happy. I hope that the Star Wars sets will show up soon in some country somewhere, like the Indiana Jones sets have been over in the Licensed Theme forum.
  8. I sure have, and I've made several purchases there. I just assumed this thread was about getting a Chrome Darth Vader in a set, not forking over lots of cash for just a Chrom Darth Vader. (Although some people do fork over tons of cash for the sets hoping to get him, but they get the set too!)
  9. Lots of people really want a Chrome Darth Vader, but they accept that there is no way to get one but luck. Acting in a somewhat irresponsible manner never gets you the product you desire, at least in my experience. If you act honestly, perhaps the thing you want will come your way. Or maybe in several years those people that have figured out the secret will share their amazing method. I hope to be here when that happens! (IF that happens!)
  10. We can't be sure based on this description, but that price is close to what I remember hearing previously, and it wouldn't surprise me. The Solar Sailer was an equivalent amount overpriced to its piece count as this price is to the Pirate Tank's piece count. And this is a later exclusive, so it is expected that it would cost a little more than usual.
  11. Take a good look at those descriptions, and you'll notice the spelling errors. The font and spelling errors kind of show that these descriptions are not from TLG. Also, those descriptions don't say anything that you wouldn't know from looking at the one pic of the Pirate Tank and the pics of the Snail Tank available on the web. What I don't understand is, who cares enough to make their own descriptions and slap it on a background and post it online?
  12. A very nice speeder moc, and excellent renditions of the characters from "Hostage Crisis." But could you please resize the pics, they are huge and take a long while to load on some computers.
  13. You know you can just post the image in the first post if you want to. Also, the contest ends on April 2, so you haven't got much time if you're planning to make a new figure. Good luck!
  14. The medium blue one is not modified at all, that is the official one that came in the original Harry Potter set.
  15. Nice MOC, it fits very well with the Jawa design of the Sandcrawler. But that can't be the only Star Wars you have, I see a battle droid and scout trooper. Where are those from?
  16. Most of the sets that you see in the box are not broken up. I set them in their nicely, and they aren't missing any parts. I just didn't want them to get dusty, like my displays.
  17. I'll set up my armies and take pictures later, but for now, here's most of my displays (assorted throughout one room). I like to make little set-ups with scenes that make sense. First, my Ep4 battle packs set up. Next, an Ep3 set up, with my various Phase 2 Clone Troopers. An overall: From the Clones' perspective: From the Droids' perspective (Two of those droids have custom painted heads - red and blue): Finally, my biggest display - the Hoth Base: Inside: Outside (the Super Battle Droids aren't part of it): And most of the rest of my SW collection:
  18. I've never been great at building my own stuff, the main reason I love LEGO is the models you get to build with the instructions. One thing I always disliked about city-related sets was the cars: they never had two seats. But then, in 2002, a nice little set called 4728 Escape from Privet Drive introduced a car that had ample room for two minifigures. A few years later, I decided to build more cars from the same instructions, but modify them slightly and choose a color scheme that suited their purpose. So you tell me, if I'm using official instructions, but building with my own pieces and modifying, is that a MOD, a MOC, or a MOD-C (Modified Creation)? Here are the cars with minifigures (although you can't see them very well). From left to right: the original HP car with Chinese gangsters (and my own gun design from broken technic); a all-out gangster car with other gangsters; and a classy convertible with an "innocent" businessman (you'll understand the quotations later). Now all three without minifigs from above. The all-out gangster car has a raised seat for the passenger so that he can fire a gun better. I know the seat area in the convertible looks like a black void, but it is really two black tiles. Now all three dead on front. I love those chrome grills on the HP car. If you couldn't start to tell already, the all-out gangster car is made from lots of "spare parts from the dump," meaning this car has been in so many accidents the owners just threw on whatever replacement parts they could find (which does happen in real life). Backs. As you can see, the convertible has big back lights and a license plate, and the gangster car is kind of broken. Maybe it had a trunk at one time in its story, but I never put one on. One of its taillights is blown out. The HP car has an opening trunk, if you didn't know. HP car side. I did forget a piece leading up to the roof on either side, but it doesn't matter too much. Both sides are the same. Convertible side. Both sides are the same. Gangster side left. They got that police door from a scrap yard, as well as the one blue wheel. Gangster side right. This side has no door, so the passenger can shoot better. And lastly, here is why the convertible driver is not so innocent. He scrapped out the convertible hood for a huge trunk, big enough for a kidnapped Chinese gangster! Well, I hoped you enjoyed my first MOD-C outside of a contest here on Eurobricks. Please comment on what you think. And if you are not a great builder either, I encourage you to take inspiration from your favorite official models!
  19. It is gray. Check in the first post under the clone with their bag picture, he says Rex comes with gray arc gear.
  20. They aren't black. We really know they aren't black: they weren't black at Toy Fair and they aren't black on the box. We want to know what non-black heads they do have: if TLG has constructed a nice surprise and given them some new human face. At this point, there is just about no doubt that they are flesh heads. (Sorry if that came off really hot headed - that wasn't the intent). On a news related note: why haven't more pictures of the exclusives (pirate tank and MF) shown up yet? If people are actually starting to get the summer sets, at least more pictures of the later sets should be showing up soon.
  21. Thanks for reviewing this. The pics are all sized right, but the ones of the comic are too blurry, making the comic near impossible to read. If you could retake those, that would be great. Have you built the set? If so, you could show the clones and the other two sets together built. Good job, though!
  22. Well, I've always made up puns, and since I got the Jungle Duel set I couldn't not think of Cleopatra when I saw that hair on Irina Spalko. Anyway, I got the recent Clone Walker Battle Pack right around when I decided to join EB, so I stuck the hair on the clone with ARC armor, snapped a photo, and called it Clone O'Patra. That's a mix of Star Wars, ancient Egyptian, and Irish! (but I am not Irish, Egyptian, or from the fictional Star Wars universe, although I am a fan). That's my name story!
  23. From Toy Fair, it's a clone pilot. LEGO always gets a few things off at Toy Fair (like Palpy's hair color), but not something like that. The box at Toy Fair also had a Clone Pilot. @Bricks - Yes, please do take at least one pic if you can!
  24. Huh? I think you did not understand, I said deeplinking. That means actually having a picture in your first post. I'm really not trying to be annoying (if that's how I come off), I just think it is always nice to actually have a picture in the first post of a moc thread. If you don't know how to deeplink, here's the tutorial: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=18451 Again, nice moc!
  25. I think he who said white was just confused and thought this hanger belonged to the good guys. Maybe. Nice design so far, but could you deeplink at least the overall shot? That always makes posts seem more interesting, and it makes clicking the link to more pics more exciting. Good job!
