Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
Clone OPatra replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
This should be in the Star Wars Questions thread, but the answer is this. Wookieepedia has something called simply Republic Starfighter, which looks the same but in different colors. Since their entry comes from comics tied to the Old Republic but released before the game, probably the same ship got recolored for the actual game (or has different variations of coloring). Any 'official' name is probably unknown at this point. -

Yes. Which is why KimT said to visit the blog, specifically this post. -
What, you've never taken a head off with its headgear still on before? Come on. Look at pictures of the front of the figure. It's not a single piece.

Did you read my post? He could have eyes closed and a confused look. He definitely does not just look stern or happy go lucky right after he comes out of the carbonite. -

They could make an 'eyes-closed' face similar to the one they did for the sleepyhead collectible minifigure. -
Those pictures probably come from FBTB's coverage. See here.

What exactly are you looking for? Bricklink has pictures of all the minifigures ever made (for Star Wars, that is). -

I hadn't noticed this before, but does Anakin have dark brown hair now on his CW figure? -

I think Magneto looks much more Ian McKellen than the Gandalf face, and Magneto isn't necessarily based on his likeness! -

This is a mold we already have; it's from Alien Conquest. Now, it's less boring than the standard six-shooter, but it's not unique. -

Getting away from? Besides for the castles with an enclosed square structure (like the recent King's Castle) or on a raised baseplate, LEGO has always done open-back buildings. Houses, police and fire stations, airports, everything actually - these have always had open backs. It's not a new trend. If you want closed structures, that's what the Modulars and occasional exclusives (like MMV, though on the packaging it's opened to have an open back) are for. -
Uh, how so? I don't know what your taste is. Saying that you thought the film was better but then going on to describe new detracting things you noticed doesn't make any sense. You don't have to explain if you don't want to, but I'm just saying that your post was confusing. I didn't like the film any better than ever. Episode I is extremely wooden, and 3D didn't change that. I could probably say that I liked it less because new things about it stuck out to me as annoying, but it was still fun to experience on the big screen. I did fall asleep during the podrace though; that always bores me to tears.

LEGO Superheroes 2012 Rumours & Discussion

Deadpool is somewhat random, but perhaps not totally so. What third minifigure could LEGO put in this set? They can't just throw in any old random X-Man, that wouldn't make sense, since Wolverine is characteristically a loner and having someone like Cyclops would make it seem like they were teaming up. All three of these characters are distinctive and have done their own things at one time or another throughout their history. I think the most logical choice would have been Sabertooth, since he is one of Wolverine's specific antagonists, but he would just look like a regular scruffy guy, not nearly as cool as Deadpool. Additionally, since Deadpool has a film in the works, despite him looking different in that film having him here makes a little sense. That's just my speculation on why he was chosen. As a very casual X-Men fan, I can't say I had ever even seen this Deadpool before, but even without knowing him I must say he looks quite awesome. By the way, I don't see the problem with Cruncher's driver besides for her lack of hair. The torso is unique and very useful, and the face is good for a stern woman. I have that figure and quite like it. -
Very nice fighter. What program did you make this in? It looks like a classier rendering than LDD.

I have not seen the Blu Ray, but the Coruscant Taxi deleted scene is now in the film. The introduction to the Podracing drivers is a mix and match from the original cut and the extended scene. I also can't remember if the scene with Sidious and Maul talking on Coruscant was in the original cut or was just a deleted scene, but that is in the 3D version. simonjedi, I assume you meant to say that it was worse than you remembered? You said 'better,' but then you go on to describe all bad things.

Rumors and speculation: Haunted House Modular

It looks a lot like the concept design by Toth, whose other designs did become Monster Fighters sets. Picture Here I was going to deeplink it, but it's kind of big. -

He's not. Going by this picture, it is just two Skrulls (or unknown alien species): The Skrull with Loki is in the Quinjet. -
That Infiltrator looks better than any version LEGO has put out! That Maul looks really silly, but I like it. The figure especially is a novel idea, but it ends up being very cute. Great job!

Why is Loki in so many sets? I know he's the main villain in the film, but it still feels excessive. If LEGO at least gives us different versions with different faces, that would make it better. They did that for Doc Ock back in the Spider-Man 2 sets since he was in every one. Still, I feel like they could have varied it up a bit more. The main heroes seem to appear in a whole bunch of sets as well. I haven't broken it down, but I'd rather see some SHIELD agents (and hopefully Nick Fury will actually be in one of these). -

I am pretty sure that the vehicle is dark blue. LEGO seems to be going with a darker palette for these sets. -
I love this! Especially the first two photographs; the selective focus really makes it seem like a never ending sea of flowers. Very romantic and very well done!

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors

It's not the right proportions, but that's because minifigures just can't be stocky. They're not slim either, but since we perceive minifigures as being normal humans, the Gamorrean will of course look too skinny. Still, I think it's better with the taller head. The old one looks like somebody squashed the head down, which just makes the arms and legs of the minifigure look lanky on it. The mould of the old one also isn't based on any source material, specifically the torso area. It's like somebody just kind of went from memory and not actual material. Perhaps the head could be a little less tall, but besides that I think this is pretty spot on. -

I read that Marvel and Disney don't actually have rights to use the name 'Skrulls,' so the alien race will be basically the same but with a different name. That might've been some false information, though.
