I don't doubt that there will be, but how is it confirmed at all by that picture? It's just a mural... -
2012 LEGO Boardgames Rumours & Discussion

Yes, they debuted in the Samurai Mech and remain exclusive to that set for the time being. -
Very interesting Star Wars/Lord of the Rings comparison
Clone OPatra replied to SheepEater's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Very much agreed Jimbobulus These types of things are fun little games, trying to compare one fictional work to another, but it's so selective. You pick the details you want that match up and forget about the rest. -
Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion
Clone OPatra replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'll just follow up one last time (or maybe more, we'll see) about why I think the wave will be split. It's primarily because of both movie-property lines that we have confirmed for later in 2013. Were there not confirmations for both Man of Steel and Iron Man 3 sets, I would say sure, the January wave will be DC or Marvel and the other one will come later. Since there have to be those two more releases (unless there's a split wave between Man of Steel and Iron Man 3), it just seems to make sense to me that the January wave will have a bit of both from non-movie properties, besides one DKR set. Additionally, the fact that figures from both comic companies were shown last year is unconvincing as an argument. The Marvel figures weren't finished at all, whereas all of the figures this year are. We knew that the Marvel figures wouldn't be coming in sets until the Spring because they had to coincide with the Avengers film, whereas these could come out any time. I'm sure it won't be long until we get confirmation, either in the form of a set list or some leaked pictures. Until that time, I'm still thinking that this is all the figures for January, and there will be both Marvel and DC sets at that time. After all, why not cater to Superhero fans of all types at Christmas time? -
Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion

Doesn't it seem obvious from the figures? They can't release 10 superhero sets (what two waves would be) at one time. There is just the right amount of figures to indicate a few sets on each side. -

Not right. Remember two things: the wave is being split Marvel/DC this time around, and when Marvel did have its own full wave this year, there were 11 new figures, or 13 if you count both Iron Mans and the Hulk maxifig (plus three more later in the Spider-Man set). Considering that, 7 minifigures for just half a wave seems excellent to me. I also think that there will be at least 3 Marvel sets. It seems like too many figures for only 2, but I could be wrong. -

All of the Marvel sets will be based on the show, but perhaps they will not all come with Spidey. Nova could serve as the hero in one of the sets (or Nick Fury, but I find that less likely). -
It will be obvious from the helmet whether it has been moulded officially or not. If not, certain subtle characteristics will be wrong. I can't tell you what exactly those might be since I don't have the piece in front of me, but a fake might not have certain little numbers inside by where the head stud fits in, or it could have a rough place where it was broken from the mould.
-
I would ask for high quality images of both colors of helmet, including the inside. You'll be able to tell then if at least those are real.
-
Of course it could still be a fake, but it's always good to ask for documented evidence of it before you spend money.
-
Can't he take a picture and send it to you, or better yet, a video? A video of him holding the figure would be way more trouble to doctor and color red, which he could do if it was a picture and he's lying about it.

Here's the index we have going, but I'm not sure how up to date it is. I recall some new reviews semi-recently that are probably not in there.

Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion
Clone OPatra replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
In addition to what sologuy said in response, it's also that LEGO just wants to give a juicy tease. They did the same with the Prince of Persia minifigures and animals as well. They know quite rightly that minifigures spark people's interest, but LEGO sets are a whole package, not just a pile of bricks thrown in to sell the minifigures. -
Barely anybody remembers is a matter of perspective. Look at Haldir. I've seen the films countless times and I had no idea who that was except 'maybe that head elf guy who I think gets killed.' That's probably how you would have to explain it to most people as well. I'm not disagreeing with you that it's Elrond, since I think it is too, but it seems to me that LEGO has no problem making characters that aren't the huge main ones.

That's not true, we have plenty of Clone Brand reviews here in the Community forum. Anybody is welcome to make one and post it here, in it's own topic, just like any other review.

CUUSOO - Thinking With Portals reaches 10k
Clone OPatra replied to CM4Sci's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Yes, but those license deals aren't being struck for single, limited release sets. Any talk of LEGO economy is all speculation, but I would speculate that any license for a CUUSOO project would have to be pretty cheap for LEGO to do it. Those big licenses might be more expensive, but they give LEGO entire lines over multiple years. -

Has it been mentioned here that the episode order for S5 has been changed? It will now start with a Maul episode. -

I'm not so sure about this. That's what I thought originally as well, but it could make just as much sense that this is it (barring possible 'hard to find' sets), making it about seven total Superhero sets for this wave, split between Marvel and DC. Aquaman and Arctic Batman vs. Mr. Freeze in a set seems reasonable. -
Yes, absolutely anything dumb should be do-able in The Clone Wars. There are plenty of examples, but a standout one is Battle Droids taking a work break. If Battle Droids can loll about on break, Clones could say 'look sir, droids.' It would actually sound like an intelligent idea from the CW writers by comparison.

LEGO Superheroes 2012 Rumours & Discussion
Clone OPatra replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Licensed
Well, I'm not sure how you can really make that claim without seeing the sets. Ok, so it's a given that there will be an Arkham, but that's hardly 'just a remake.' Look at Harry Potter, the newest Hogwarts Castle was vastly different than the original, and I wouldn't expect different for Arkham. But then for Mr. Freeze, we're not getting another Batcave and I highly doubt another little scooter set, so that's not a remake at all besides for the Freeze figure. Even Nolan's Batman is drastically different than the films you listed. No blatant sex scenes, no excessive, on screen violence. To an adult viewer, the themes of these Batman films are very dark and disturbing, but I'm pretty sure overbearing themes are lost on kids most of the time. They see Batman, and maybe there are some disturbing things, but plenty of LEGO's licenses have that (even Harry Potter 1 and 2 had images to disturb kids). First of all, this is only the January wave, which is clearly split between Marvel and DC (unlike 2012, when they each got full waves). We know nothing of summer yet, so there will be more Marvel to come that isn't Ultimate Spider-Man. Those characters you list might be more attractive to you, but to kids watching the show, don't you think show characters would appeal to them? I think so. LEGO's paying enough service to the older crowds with Deadpool and Aquaman (to name two) as it is. Really, so you're complaining that you get cool figures? Why does it matter that TLG didn't release Nick Fury in the summer? Is Doctor Doom actually worthless just because there also aren't Fantastic Four figures? You could say Magneto is worthless without his whole Mutant Brotherhood, or Wolverine without the rest of the X-Men. A Bane which is a movie tie-in and looks nothing like the last Bane, a Mr. Freeze since any kid now is sure to not have a figure that was released last five years ago? Robin I'll give you, but what's wrong with more Batman figures? The summer will be Man of Steel sets, so never fear, they'll be plenty of not Batman.I guess it's just easy to get on a roll complaining about things. -
LEGO Star Wars 2013 Pictures and Rumors
Clone OPatra replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
What do you mean by that? The arms move and the hands rotate. The legs don't move, but on the big LEGO figures of late, they never do. -
I haven't seen this cool poster mentioned anywhere yet: It's very limited edition, though, and a CC exclusive. Still, very cool. (Info here)

LEGO Superheroes 2012 Rumours & Discussion
Clone OPatra replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Licensed
Well this is some surprising stuff! Looks like people were right when they guessed we'd get Fury from the Ultimate Spider-Man show. I never really believed it, but hey, Fury is Fury. It's all based on Samuel L. Jackson anyway. The rest of the Marvel characters aren't so surprising, but they are exciting. They all fit into the show, so I'd guess we'll see at least two more Spider-Man sets and perhaps another X-Men or two, since I'm sure this isn't all the figures. On the DC side, the biggest surprises are the TDKR minifigures. I wonder if a set will indeed be released in just a few weeks to coincide with the movie, and LEGO has kept it very well under wraps. I'm not familiar enough with Batman to understand the white Batman - did Mr. Freeze freeze him or something, or is it a cold-weather suit? It will also be really interesting to see what sort of set the Aquaman come in. -
LEGO Star Wars 2013 Pictures and Rumors
Clone OPatra replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
That's what's so cool about Luke - he's not a totally awesome, not human character, which makes him relate-able and sympathetic. He might know how to use the Force mostly, but it's not the first thing that comes to mind, and he doesn't use it for petty things. You could say it's just because they didn't have the technology to do more special effects, but I think the other explanation is better. In the PT and CW, on the other hand, every single Jedi uses the Force for everything, all the time, and it gets really dumb. All of the characters are far too awesome to be real. -
What're your favorite and least favorite Star Wars sets?
Clone OPatra replied to Loco de Lego's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Overpriced? I think not (at least in the US). More than 500 pieces for $50. The first release of Snowtroopers not in a $100 set. A white 3PO. A nice turret. People might be quick to call it lame because the name doesn't fit what it is, but there are a lot of good things about that set.
