Agreed, I can't afford anything more than a $20... usually... I let my relatives buy me the bigger ones for Christmas and my birthday... ;)

The next Unlikely Society issue is ... not done.
Raphy replied to Joebot's topic in Brick Flicks & Comics
. . . . now make him out of lego. I love the Unlikely Society comics, I always re-read them. I can't wait for the next one, by the way! Keep on rockin'. -
Well, I emailed the lego company about half a year ago about quitting the TT line and they said they had no plans on doing it. I doubt they'd change their minds so soon. Besides, I saw them in the background pics of the Russian fair thing about a month ago. Could you please take pictures next time you're there? I'm really excited at this. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Or could you be so kind as to describe them a bit more?

Guys, no offense, really - but if you think that red Creator car is nice, you really, really don't know how to build cars . . . .

Indian Pursuit! - $5.99 - 46 pieces Western Outlaw Evil Bill is personally chasing brave indian, Bold Bobcat, through the desert on his horse to steal the exquisite headdress once worn by the Indian gods. However, Johnny is also hot in pursuit of Evil Bill - who will win - will Evil Bill manage to retrieve the headdress with his lasso, or will Johnny gallop to the rescue and return the indian headdress to Bold Bobcat? Includes Evil Bill with horse, Johnny the horse, Bold Bobcat, and tumbleweed. (This is supposed to be in the style of SP III's Squidman set, Bold Bobcat would supposedly run really quickly. ) (Johnny is supposed to be the Western hero's horse - they always have smart, talented ones, right? )

Sign me up! I love western and I'd love to see it again. Those Western sets were made when I was born, so if they came back it would be a cool anniversary. Sort of. If yanno what I mean... ;)

Yeah, I agree, they're a bit hard on the little rock monsters. I mean, in that trailer for the second wave, they showed a caged monster getting thrown at a large crystal monster. The cage broke and they sat around with crystals circlin their heads. That was actually quite funny, but extinguishing the little lava monsters is going quite too far. In fact, in the bio for Brains on the website, it said he'd love to bring some rock monsters up to the surface alive. Does that mean they kill them? I seriously doubt lego would go that far.

House - Well, I'm not a die-hard fan of Creator houses, but this one looks quite nice, what with the purple roof and all. Helicopter - This is, by far, the coolest Creator set I have evar EVAR seen. EVAR!! And in Midi-Scale too! ;) Car - *HNRRRRG*

Oh, no. Oh, please, no. Lego, what is happening to you?
-
Stop moanin' y'all. It's looks like a FAR better theme than Power Miners or Agents. SP III is better, but not by far.
-
What's your favorite sci-fi theme? (Official or not)? Oh, and could an admin maybe post a poll here, with the main science fiction themes . . . . I'd be grateful. 2000th topic, by the way! Woohoo :)

AWESOME! Totally original idea, great cars, great scenes, and so much cool packed on 160 studs. Sad with the tank, though. I really dig that little yellow pickup truck! Keep it up!

MOC: The Strangest Thing Ever Made Out Of Bionicle?
Raphy replied to Artahn's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Cute. *oh2* -
I don't think one's ever too old to play, even by oneself, not playing with your kids. I think everybody is obsessed with trying to say they don't play because they're obsessed with trying to appear grown-up. Why, think about it: The world's most talented professor, who's studying a piece of Mesozoic rock, is playing. He's studying it because he's interested in it, someone who wants to drive really fast in a car is basically playing, too. Anything you're interested in and you're doing something fun to do with it, you're playing. Anything fun you do because you want to is playing. That's how I see it in my eyes, at least. I play with my models all the time.

Star Wars The Clone Wars Season 2 Discussion
Raphy replied to DarthSion's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Gah, eight days to go . . . . Do you think they'll appear on www.watchtheclonewars.com days after? -
Pretty sweet. Love the back bumpers and the light blue, it's really cute. By the way, I can't notify you on flickr since you're blocking me, ;) but your TBB post with this car has a grammar mistake "May I have instructions?" and not "Can I have instructions?" Just a friendly pointer. Glad to see you on eurobricks.

Hey, it's supposed to be an '010 set discussion thread, what do I say?
