Star Wars The Clone Wars Season 2 Discussion
Raphy replied to DarthSion's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Well, when Cad said that breaking into a Jedi Temple would be deadly, he had a worried expression on his face and when Sidious mused if his skills were exaggerated, he immediately said he'd like a fast starfighter and other weapons and whatnot. I hope he's not scared, because personally I believe Cad could make a pulp of Siddy . . . . -
Thanks a lot, Strik! Yes, this ismy first review :0

OK, here's my first review! Enjoy it, please. that's an order. ^____^ Information Name: 8957 Mine Mech Theme: Power Miners Price: $ 7.99 Minifigures: 2 Pieces: 67 Year: 2009 And the description from Shop@Home: "Explore the underground with the Mine Mech! The one-of-a-kind Mine Mech is an experimental mining walker built to go where the other Power Miners vehicles can⦣8364;™t. Its enhanced movement and armor make it perfect for exploration and emergency rescues, and its spinning plasma cutter and crushing claw make it more than a match for any rock ⦣8364;“ or rock monster!" Hmm. Witty. Parts, debagged. well, they were debagged for over a day so far ;D The minifigures! Boulderax is too cute and Brains is cool and a nice break from the typical heroic gorillas. I really wish we had a female miner. :/ "In-build shots" . . . . well . . . . not really . . . . The build is very fun, and the building time is about 10 minutes. I stretch it out, y'see. :D The pic of the Mine Mech itself finished, as finished by instructions. It's kinda ugly this way. Leftover parts. Pleh. :p The instructions and god-awful box. ;p Random instruction page, or so I hear one has to have one of these in a eurobricks review, right? Now it's time for the summary! Playability: 9/10 - awesome! great posability, I'm good . . . . Price: 9/10 - Great! really good parts for price. :) Design: 8/10 - The box art makes it look awful, but the finished model is super cute, especially with bent legs. Parts: 9/10 - Like I said, excellent parts. Saw? Claws? Helmet? Warning light? Rock monster? Ball joints? >:D Minifigures: 7/10 - pretty good, Boulderax is sweet, and so is Brains to some extent, but Snake from SP III was way cooler. Thanks for readin', y'all! this is a great set and it was a pleasure to share it with you, and thank you for flying United, all electronic devices and must be turned off and . . . . . . . . Heh heh. Right.

You think Cad Bane is genuinely scared of Darth Sidious? -
ADH015 - It's Wat Tambor! k back on topic, personally I'd love a $12 Freeco speeder with Obi-Wan with a parka and Rex in Cold Assault gear. Okay, Obi isn't needed, just wanted, but I need (repeat: NEED) a Rex in Cold Assault gear. k lego?

congrats, Whung! Awesome find is awesome. ;D I bet they will be available for about five poeple worldwide. :/ also, that walker is cute. It's really cool, why is everyone whinin' about it? :p At the risk of being tied and burned on a pole, I like this walker more than its 10$ battlepack counterpart.
-
I agree with Omi, just old sets with new parts. however, I've never got any of the old ones so I can't complain :P
-
I agree with InSeRt NaMe HeRe. does it have to be a Star Wars battle pack? cos I have no Star Wars parts whatsoever ^__^ Can it be a Steampunk or RAMM battlepack?
-
Hey, this looks just like Power Miners underwater! - gripe gripe - They could've given us something new! - rant rant - What punks, I hope you're happy now LEGO! - grumble grumble -

Did anyone notice the little hot rod Tiny Turbo that was parked by the entrance to Skywalker World? You think it's a sneak peek to the next range of the Tiny Turbos? :D That would be great, as IMO Tiny Turbos beats even Star Wars. No, I'm not a bozo or a freak or a weirdo. Sorry for off-topic. The new Grievous looks awesome! I can only hope it will be in a cheap set. ;) By the way, if you freeze it at 4:48, it shows a whole shelf of lego sets . . . . can anyone spot any new ones? I thought the ones on the right of the Y-wings looked unfamiliar. Also, "C-3PO's Wheel of Fortune" had me smilin'.

Freeco swoop bike? . . . . That made my day. I vote for Rex in cold assault gear w/ a couple of Talz throwing spears at him on the box art.
-
I don't know much about trains, but I know that they're impressive and creepy and beautiful, and this one is no exception :)
-
^True, but we need better baddie vehicles. Like the SP III Space-Apoc-Getaway truck :skull:

O_O Man, that christmas tree and the kids and the singing couple is so much awesome. Well done, lego! This has got to be the classiest set ever made. Sorry if that smiley is spam, it's not meant to be. And randomparrot, how can purple have been discontinued? Purple is also in TCW Mace Windu's lightsaber and the food stand in the Cairo Swordsman set.

Great review, I will so get this set. btw, do you know if it will be going on sale at S@H?
