  1. Grogall wins. Hard. Sadly, I'm not in Australia so, oh snap. :P Series 1 is not over yet. My local ToysRUs ("local" being forty-seven miles ;P) said they'd probably get a new batch Friday. The ToysRUs is in Salem, Oregon if anyone's interested and in the area :)
  2. Well, my dear friend, don't believe it. It's capital BS. :D
  3. Everybody's saying the newer sets are nicer, but to me it doesn't really matter. Both eras (I'll split it into two eras) had and have nice designs, and both had their pros and cons. For example, the newest Slave I is rockin', the best one yet, but the oldest X-Wing was really good, not immense like the later ones. As for size and design (sometimes), I preferred the older ones but as for minifigs and parts, the newer ones are better. :) I'm looking forward for the TLG to stop making those god-awful Clone Wars sets, give up the prequel trilogy (they already did ;P) and get back to Original Trilogy stuff, 'cause Star Wars is that and only that. I hate Clone Wars, and surprisingly, to me, the prequel trilogy was even worse. Bleh! Ps. Like my new signature? ;P
  4. So, it's an actual possibility I might still find some in the small, independent toy stores?
  5. June 1st? Okaaayy... Darn, I guess you're right. But still.
  6. Well, I am 100% certain that these new parts (maybe not the new torso or leg prints), but the parts, will be seen in future sets. The thing is... I don't want to wait! I want them NOW! ;) I agree, it's very unfair. I'm a kid, and I don't have a car to drive eighty miles to the nearest stocker of these, and my parents would be hard to convince. It's also rather uncourteous (is that the word?) of LEGO to make so few of them, and to practically run out of stock before the official release date!
  7. Ddaanngg Here in Oregon, I've checked every store I can find and they don't have 'em! What should I do? Will they still come, even though production was stopped months ago? D:
  8. Meh, TLG should give up Lamborghini and go with Cadillac or Buick or Lincoln, whatever, as long as its lo n' slo :D Howevuh, I must admit that a Murcie SV in the scale of the past two sets, or Lamborghini TTs would be pretty awesome, TLG would probably have to make a new black-tinted cockpit piece if they were to make Lambo TTs. :)
  9. Oh lordy. Great. Thanks for your wish of luck though. Running out of product before the official release date..... how unprofessional.
  10. Hey Grimmy, I totally agree. One month just isn't fair. However, I refuse to believe that TLG would be so unfair as to stop production of Series 1 before the official release date, June 21st, after Series 1 was sold out on Shop@Home, they're not that uncaring. :P I have still to get them..... today, I've visited my local Corvallis K-Mart, Borders and Fred Meyers. Nil! If me and a whole bunch of other people end up without any I'll personally complain to TLG for not sending them out enough. :/ EDIT: THEY'RE BACK ON SHOP@HOME, WOOOO! http://shop.lego.com/Product/?p=8683
  11. Thanks everybody for the comments, I really appreciate it!
  12. Hmm. The cockpit area is very nice; I'd suggest trying to round out the back and making the front forks longer lookin' sweet though :)
  13. Thanks Pi. :D You saved my life and my entry ;P It's now officially up! :) Enjoy folks :[)
  14. Legonater - Thanks. :P Well, if you remember, tell me :) KielDaMan - They are JPEGs, and it still doesn't work. Wait... is JPG and JPEG the same thing?
  15. Well, brickfoot beat me to it, but oh well. I hope you like this one too; as his it depicts the Hoth Rebels defending in vain their base, laser fire raining down on them as they make a desperate yet heroic last stand against the Empire's AT-ATs, AT-STs and seemingly endless snowtroopers. 16x16 vignette includes: - Rebel cannon on turret - Two Rebel troops charging at Imperials - Rebel troop captain jumping over snowfort - Random clumps of snow - Two new techniques for laser fire and minifig feet sinking into the snow The main view. Same thing but from behind... A rebel charges at the oncoming Imperials. Another rebel about to launch a thermal detonator at them. And lastly, their experienced captain leaps over the Rebel snowfort, posing for the camera in slow-motion. ;) This vignette was a great oppurtunity for me to show off my new crystal-laser fire technique for the cannon turret. By the way, KimT, I hope I'm not breaking the rules for this - the vignette is not exactly 16x16, but rather 16x16.5. I hope you'll forgive me, I took the liberty thinking it would be accepted ;) You can watch the scene here: Enjoy, and good luck with the contest! :D
  16. 'Sup guys. Here in Corvallis, Oregon, they simply aren't here. I don't know whether they haven't shipped yet (doubtful, it's the twelfth and they shipped on the first), or if they aren't being shipped at all or if they've been all snatched up. What should I do? Wait? Give up? Act fast and raid all stores to see if they have them?
  17. Hehe, I'd totally get the shuttle, but I can't even afford the Midi-scaled Star Destroyer... ;P
  18. Oh, my bad. Okay, sorry. ;P
  19. Aww dang, it's June 2 in Poland! Would it be possible to bend the rules and let me join for a 16x16 vig? Just once? Rules were meant to be broken.
  20. Racers is my favorite, but the rest are in no specific order by preference. :] Racers - Being primarily a builder of Tiny Turbos, I adore the Racers line. The price-per-part ratio is pretty good, and the parts themselves are amazing, come in rare colors and are exactly what I need in what I make. They are decidedly the best. :P Star Wars - Because, foo'. Technic - This man business, you know that right? ;) Creator - Probably the best current price-per-part ratio, and the models are cool, simple and come in classic colors: Red, Blue, Green, Yellow. There's just something reminiscent of classic lego sets for me. I have no idea why. World Racers - While they're not even out yet, they look great in terms of weird-part status. I'll get some. :)
  21. Of course not... it doesn't represent the Mexican in a bad way, does it? It's just rather a stereotype of a Mexican... big mustached dude with tanned skin and a sombrero. Nothing wrong with that. Neither with the Spartan. :P By the way, I counted and I spy a total of sixty-seven new parts! Woo! :D
  22. Oh, my goahhh... No words.
  23. Veeewwwy pwettyyyy... I love Kit Fisto's one. It's so sleek. If I were you though, I shorten all of them by about... eight studs. ;P
  24. When I get home, I really don't understand why people wait ;)
