  1. Awhile ago, it was probably an hour a day, but now it's more like 15 minutes a day more or less. It all depends if I'm in a really Legoy mood, anything is going on, or if I'm distracted with something else. It's just always there on a tab anyway (because I don't feel like logging in again ) but I'm really more of a lurker though...
  2. Oh man. I saw this a few days ago on a blog, but never really commented on it. It's just pretty freaking amazing how something that could have been controlled so simply could be made into something more complex, yet, more interactive. It just blows me away. Y'know the same guy also made a power functions steering wheel.
  3. Dat's so cute, yet evil... It brings to mind some of Moko's cute character designs, mainly in the head and face which looks pretty good. If you wanted to go further with it you could tweak the chin a bit, maybe change the round 1x1s in the eyes to square, and add a more prominent nose. Not bad for a random act of MOCing.
  4. Great mod. It really fills out some of the spacier parts of the original. If there's one thing I'd change though it'd be the buzzsaw arm, it just looks a bit awkward turned on it's side like that imo. Other than that, it looks great.
  5. While I put next to no faith in this "rumor", I still salivate it the though of such a line. If this ever happened, I think the best option would be to do like one set of each theme at different price points. Either that, or Smash Bros. I disagree with the reputation thing, I mean, with kids getting more interested in video games these days, and with the popularity of the Wii on top of that, it seems like it could be somewhat profitable. When it comes to Pokemon though, I agree it could be a bit too much, but if approached in the right way, and in moderation, like only making a select few pokemon, it could work.
  6. I'm really liking this. You've got that classic Gundam look down, yet with the added greebles here and there. Like those super battle droids in the ankles, they really caught my eye. It really adds something I think. And I find many Lego mech heads at this size to be either very undefined or too blocky, but I think that unique helmet design made this one turn out really well. Overall, well done.
  7. Yes, she did in the game, but in the game artwork she was always blond. (I'm still not sure why they did that. ) I did always like the mint green hair better though, for the uniqueness.
  8. #1) Earthbound - Gyigas I literally fought him for an hour before I faq'ed figured out that you need to "pray" him to death. I finally finished around 4am that day. #2) Final Fantasy VI (III ver.) - The Apocalypse So, the main villain, Kefka, helps his master, the emperor, find the legendary "warring triad" which can give him the god-like power needed to rule the world. Your party intercepts them, Kefka goes all crazy, and takes all the power for himself. Then he kills off the Emperor, and throws the triad off balance, which causes mass destruction and chaos all over the world... what a dick-move... #3) Sonic 3 & Knuckles - Beating the game This was literally the first game I beat, and I did it with Knuckles and his hard route too...
  9. Well, I've been starting to like fleshies more. I think when it comes to licensed themes, they tend to help represent the characters they're based upon more. However, if I was to use yellow that would work quite well, I actually saw something to that effect in sugegasa's Magitek Armor. Interesting ideally I'd like to try my hand at decals, but for the sake of curiosity, do any pics of this set exist yet?
  10. Thanks, all. None in the near future, but I would like to make some custom FFVI minifigs and a Blackjack or Falcon some day... Yeah, Terra was the original plan, but I just couldn't think of an appropriate fleshie head/body scheme for her without decals. That and the fact I have no blond ponytail hair.
  11. Thanks. Ah yes, I enjoyed IV quite a bit too. That came in the Old Snowspeeder from 1999. It's the only set those came in.
  12. I've recently been having an unhealthy obsession with Final Fantasy, mainly VI. So I thought, why not put that obsessiveness into something good, like a MOC. For those of you not familiar with the game, it's sort of a mechanical war machine that enables the user to use magic (A technique long since forgotten). Anyway, to the pics! My newly created Flickr or Good ol' Brickshelf Questions? Comments? Criticisms?
  13. Oh Man... These are all so... different looking. Like more biomechanical or something. This looks like it could turn out quite well. There are just so many different kinds of parts in a wide variety of colors. And... HANDS? Wow. I'd like to my hands on some of those. BTW, are there any clear pics of that big green guy in the corner? Just curious.
  14. I found the following MOCs during my methodical perusing of brickshelf. Part 1 Part 2 I thought quite a few of them used some pretty interesting building techniques. Including this one and these. Just thought it was worth a mention.
  15. Looks great so far. Though the face decal seems to lack something. Maybe the first one would work a bit better? The hair, trench coat and torso came out really well though.
  16. Thanks. I'm honestly not quite satisfied with it either. I originally wanted it mostly all lime green, then added green due to a lack of lime green, and red due to a lack of both. Unfortunately, most of the parts used didn't come in either of those colors anyway.
  17. Kouraweu, the aimless wanderer with a sick obsession for killing. She dreams to one day die gloriously against a worthy opponent. Side Back Attack Wardrobe Malfunction Brickshelf Enjoy!
  18. I believe the viewing of that flicker gallery just destroyed my mind. Anyway, it's always nice to see people make use of useless parts. Theres a nice mix of system and technic in there too. And to make a Galidor figure look somewhat appealing... that's a feat in itself.
  19. Bionicle could use more teal, it could more of all those colors. Maybe they could go as far as using even other different colors for toa/warriors/rahi. Lego makes plenty of different shades of red, blue, green, purple, orange, etc. I mean, some more variety would be nice.
  20. Oh man, I want this thing. It looks like such a fantastic build. And I've always wanted to try one of these super-detailed-modular town buildings. This seems like a good place to start. But that price tag... ouch. Maybe I'll wait and see if I can get it for my birthday. *sweet*
  21. Exo-Force has definitely been of my biggest Lego temptations over the years. Kinda hard to pick my favorites, but... 2006 was the year of the Supernova as far as I'm concerned. Such a great set design... I've been thinking about picking up another. *wub* 2007 definitely didn't have the same "umph" as 06 in my opinion, but there were some gems like the Aero Booster which was quite unique. 2008 seems like a great step up in terms of design. It's really a much tighter race. I went with the Chameleon Hunter though. It and the Assault Tiger are much more well thought out than their previous year counterparts. As for year, I went with 2006 if only because it was the original and most surprising. Though 08 would be a very close second.
  22. Here's mine. The "happiest" place on Earth, New Pork City.
  23. Oh yes... I played the original a few months after it's release and had a ball beating up my friend in it. X-D Now Melee, I ended up buying on it's day of release and was instantly hooked for months. Even to this day, it still sees frequent play when I hang out with friends. And finally Brawl... I've actually been quite pathetically obsessed with Brawl info as of recent. :-D I eagerly anticipate the day in which I can hold it in my hands... And immediately shove it in my Wii. *sweet* Also, to whom it may concern three more characters have been confirmed to be in Brawl, Lucario, Jigglypuff, and Ness *wub* As stated in the sticker update earlier, some can only be equipped to certain characters, who's icons are displayed in the corner. Lucario and Jigglypuf are shown here. Ness is over here. These images are from a Japanese instructional video, here. Click and drag the blue bar to 4:20 to see, it's not visible during normal play. *wacko*
  24. At last I get to lay may eyes on Tahu...? 8-| It's certainly an interesting take on my first and favorite toa. It'll probably be a decent set, I just don't see why they would take such a hot-head and make him a ninja. *wacko* It's just not fitting. As for the others the pics are far too small for judgment, but Gali looks like a buff gunman and Onua looks like some sort of strange reptilian creature. Just ... completely bizarre. Also, is that classic red, or dark red on Tahu? Seems like classic red to me. If you have them, by all means, post them. ;-)
  25. I actually saw a few of these at my local TRU, but alas had to pass. *sad* Looks like a neat little set with plenty of useful parts though... Guess I'll be going back. ;-) Marion seems like a pretty useful fig, looks pretty similar to the new castle princess. Also, anyone notice the carrot-torch? Nice part usage. X-D
