Skrall eyed Masson up and down, he seemed to hold a high position in this Syndicate. The ogre nodded toward the Paragon in response to his question, "Skrall." The ogre turned his attention to Octavyn, "That's the issue with folks today, they use organization labels to define an entire person's character. Well, if yer brother ain't a fan of the Syndicate, I can't see him being a fan of 3 other strangers armed to the teeth enterin' his home."

"Contrary to popular belief, seems like most people don't get along too well with their own family," Skrall shrugged.

OoC: I'll be at a conference all day tomorrow so I'll be on very minimally, however that is my only planned absence for the next few weeks so I'll be back up to normal speed after that. Skrall strode forward addressing Octavyn, "We do try an' be punctual. Octavyn I presume?" The ogre observed the goings on between the Syndicate admin and Karie. He had seen the young woman in the hall before, but hadn't had any real interactions with her yet. Apparently the two knew each other or had worked together or something. The third member of the party was still hanging toward the back of the group, though Skrall paid him little mind for the time being. "Right, so apparently ya called us here about some light house wailin's? Seems like somethin' I'd be expectin' the Town Watch or Bonapartes to be attendin' to."

"Doesn't seem like it. Drinks are on me while I'm gone." Skrall winked to the assassin as he gathered his pack and headed out the hall.

Out of curiosity, have you been referring to the party from Quest 23 or 40?

Skrall motioned for Dyric to sit down, "That it has, Dyric. I was in the fields fer a spell and saw quite a bit of action now I'm relaxin' a bit before gettin' ready to head out. You?"

Skrall makes his way into the market place his purse full of 1408 Gold pieces, doffing his hat to the new arrival, "Good to see ya again, mam. I'm after a few pretty stones" The ogre picked out a Diamond, Garnet, and a Sapphire. Skrall grabbed a Deluxe Skeleton, a Scroll of Blindness and a Scroll of Confusion at random from a stack before handing 500 Gold over to Elphaba. "Thank ya mam." The ogre strolled over to Anwyl. "Got a bit of work fer ya my good dwarf." The ogre lay the gems and his two bows down in front of the black smith. "I need these two bows embued with all my gems and each of them upgraded a level. I suggest ya get busy." Skrall later returned and handed Anwyl a sack of 740 Gold before inspecting his equipment: Composite Bow (WP: 12 Garnet, Topaz, Diamond, Emerald, Aquamarine) Hunter's Crossbow (WP: 12/24 Amethyst, Ruby, Opal, Sapphire) The ogre then walked over to Fabian's where he had his Scrolls of Blindness and Confusion infused into his Heavy Armor for 100 Gold much to the elf's nose's disgust. Rounding off his shopping spree at Portia's Potions, the ogre purchased 4 meads and 2 Nostrums for 130 Gold leaving him with 38 Gold in his satchel.

Skrall listens to the raider's comment on the new quest, "Guess they're goin' to need someone to look after 'em." Skrall resigned his name to Quest 86: Gaiden.

No problem, that gives me an idea on Scuba's quest.

Skrall strides back down to the quest board. "Hmmm... A little too crowded fer my tastes." Skrall scratched his name from Quest 86: Gaiden.

Skrall will be there. I know 77 is getting close but is 85 a long epic demon hunt or a short quick story progressing quest?

"Money, mostly. Had to pay the bills somehow and like it or not, it ain't exactly easy for a greenskin to get any sort of respectable job in this city." Skrall sipped at his ale. "Over the years things have changed a bit. The money's still good, but I've got a few mates to look after now at least. The witch Wren and the thought of seein' her to her grave kept me busy for a couple of months, but now that that deed's been done, I've found myself more willin' just to let life come to me than to go chasin' after it."

Whatever the origin, Heroica is its own entity and as has been shown and agreed upon through QM continuity, were-creatures tend to be animal humanoids. Some of these, like the werewolves of the wolf-gang, shapeshift at will.

Two heroes enter the arena set for combat. The knight issuing his challenge to the yeti before lowering himself into the pit. With a sharp crack to a bell the sparring begins. There's 4 or 5 of us in charge of it. I should be able to get you set in an hour or so.

"Gladly." Skrall handed his tankard over. "So how did ya come to Heroica, master Thalion. Fame, glory, thirst for adventure and danger?"

"Hmmm, well the pitch sounded like they had had a run in with heroes before." Skrall's eyes fell on the man in the mask as he exited the hall, "Look it there Thalion, a regular ol' follower of Pseudos all the way here in Eubric."

"Nay, the place was quite empty when we got to it, seems like Wren decided to make that her headquarters of sorts, that's all. Anything new and excitin' been posted as of late?" Skrall made his way down to the quest board. "Hmmm... No idea what this syndicate is and why they'd be wanting to hire heroes who they had a run in with before, but gold is gold." Skrall signed up for Quest 86. Returning to the table, Skrall inquired of Thalion, "Ever heard of the Syndicate?"

Well as long as we aren't looking at anything 48ish I'll sign-up.

"Yep, had to remove the floorboards and everything, was quite the construction project. Bet Scheherazade wasn't too happy about that bit, but neither would I if I had a temple of Zoot buried right under my basement. Was this place ya visited all red and black with spikes stickin' out of it like a regular spinyhog?"

"Well if you're an elf that can hold his liquor, then I'll gladly drink with ya." The ogre raises his tankard and downs its contents as he follows Thalion to the table."Yes, I've been here goin' on two years or so now. Place hasn't changed that much, a few new faces here and there, but the city seems to be continuing in the downward spiral it always has, no matter the amount of heroing the folks in this place do." Skrall ordered another ale. "Started here mainly lookin' to pay off a few debts and this was one of the few establishments around with a pretty much open door hirin' policy. So, got here, ran a few errands for the town watch and the Hinckwells, nothin' major. Next set of jobs, ended up runnin' into a gal named Wren. I'm sure ya've heard of her and her exploits from those around here. Well we met in Haddon, and boy did she start some ruckus there. Right nut job she was. Ended up chasin' her down near half the world from the old kingdoms all the way over to Dastan until we finally finished things off proper down below this very buildin'. Nasty business that was..." Skrall's voice trailed, a vague expression fixed on his face as he gazed into empty space.
