  1. "Influential? Perhaps you are referring to my late brother? The Thisbeen family have always been one of distinguished traders and merchants, but I can't be giving out recommendations willy nilly, I don't even know you and I am not in the business my brother was." "If they take to the company of golems, what more is there to know..."
  2. As Nur's golem enters the room, the older dwarf stiffens. "Dumora, I don't think these folks mean well." The younger dwarf draws a short sword as a strange light enters her eyes. "If this is a robbery, you've surely chosen the worst spot. A shout and we'll have half a dozen guards here, but you'll also have to me to deal with."
  3. Skrall downs a Smelling Salts and readies a shot at Black Sheep A from the back row with his Hunter's Crossbow.
  4. Rhyszicz fires again from the back row at the leader. "Mhinak, you and the Hound stick to the Smokemaster, Nalguz go for the Defender." Boris focused on healing Germ from the back row. Battle Order: Rhyszicz Dire-Wolf Mhinak Na'im Nalguz Boris Germ
  5. The party knocks on Ms. Thisbeen's door and are called to come in. Inside an older female dwarf is conversing with a younger, heavily armored dwarven woman. "You don't understand Dumora, it's not that I don't trust you it's simply a matter of..." The elder dwarf pauses upon seeing the heroes, "Why hello there, can I help you?" QM Note: Nur, does your servant accompany you? I guess moving forward I'll assume he's with you unless you specify otherwise, sound OK?
  6. "If it's alright, I'd like to hold on to 'em, Althior. I think I might have stretched them out of size anyways." Skrall gathers his stuff and indicates his readiness for the fields.
  7. Skrall decides to favor the Vermin type as opposed to Mechanical and lets loose another crossbow bolt at the spiders from the back row.
  8. "They aren't necessarily the most pristine mechanizations I'm sure, but they suffice. I've heard tales of the easterners with their machines and flying boats, interesting indeed. Dwarven cog-works aren't built for fancy tricks, no we build for durability, most of 'em are actually used in the minin' operations in Frumpknob. These..." the Dwarf holds up his hand, "came from a couple years back we had some problems with a golem invasion. Nearly caused part of Krumpknob to be sank." Nur spends 1 ether as the water forms a geyser dropping the chest onto the dock. "Well now, that's the second time you've saved my cargo, I'm sure Ms. Thisbeen is going to be quite appreciative of saving her fine laces. If yer friend the navigator ain't interested in joining the crew, maybe I could entice yourself and your man-servant."
  9. OoC: Everyone can feel free to attack whom they wish this round, though make sure your hit would not completely kill the enemy, we want them going down from the bleeding. "Mhinak, see if you can direct the wolf at the Smokemaster, the closer these gents are to bleeding out, the better. If the beast succeeds we can sit tight and try and wait for them to bleed out." Boris sets his sights on the defender and attacks from the front row. Rhyzzicz continues his attack against the leader from the back row. Battle Order: Germ Rhyszicz Dire Wolf Nalguz Na'im Mhinak Boris
  10. Skrall reloads and fires again at the spiders from the back row. "Wasn't there something about a water-spout or such? Perhaps you can generate some kind of spell Althior."
  11. OoC: Once the Defender's bleeding, Germ and I will be able to tank the Leader and the Defender's free hits. At which point all we need to do is to bleed the Smokemaster, heal off his free hits, and then wait 40 or so rounds for them to all bleed out. Also to be clear, I'd like an indication if Nalguz actually joins the enemy party before the round is run. "My "infinite wisdom" is has got us this far hasn't it?" Boris sees Nalguz's hesitation. "Nalguz, you really think they have the gold? None of their story has added up so far. If they do, we'll take it off their corpses."
  12. "Don't worry, I'll keep the Defender busy and you'll get your chance at sparky once the Leader's a bit less powerful." Boris smiles showing his two fangs.
  13. "Give me a moment," the Dwarf steps inside his house and a few minutes later appears with a letter for Ellaria, "This letter will at least get you an audience with the High Chief." The Dwarf laughs. "I'd like to see them try. Bodyguard aye? I know how that goes, you should look into Odmin's Smithy if you're traveling further under, fine selection of weaponry he has there. Figure you'd be appreciative of his art given the number of blades your carryin'." Nur notices a dark squat little figure turn and flee further down the alleyway as he approaches. Nur recognizes one of the workers as the captain of their transportation from earlier. "No, we've just about got the last of..." At that moment the chest slips the Dwarf's grasp and falls into the water. "Sod."
  14. "We'll see how this first round goes. Germ and Rhyszicz, take the Leader from the back, have your Hound take on the Defender from the front. Germ make sure to use that wrench of yours. Everyone else, take on the smokey one." Boris leveled his mace and swung at the Smokemaster from the back row. Battle Order: Boris Warkboofhine Rhyszicz Germ Mhinak Nalguz Na'im
  15. Skrall unloaded his Hunter's Crossbow on the Itsy-Bitsy Spiders from the back row.
  16. "That they do, the issue you see isn't just lettin' one of you surface dwellers setting up shop down here, it's more an issue of where do you draw the line. My people are a proud one and they wouldn't want anyone coming down here and takin' their rightful work. While such products as yours do indeed interest me and I think they'd be finely appreciated down here, the issue's a much bigger one and out of my jurisdiction I'm afraid. You'll have to speak to the Head Chief about it, but you can at least be assured that you've peaked my interest. Strange though, can't think of many surface dwellers who'd willingly want to leave the light, I'd suggest you spend some more time down here before making a decision, it's quite an undertaking, really." As Tensi leans against one of the mooring posts a spear toting dwarf dressed in chain-mail and a red tunic approaches. "Look lively, no loitering about." "Glub, slimy wyrms? These are some of the best electric eels in all Krumpknob!" The Teuthisal smiles as the Drafter slips him some gold. "Right, glub, Ms. Thisbeen. Lives just a few houses down." The Teuthisal indicates a tan one-storied structure just beyond the house Ellaria had stopped at. "Stops by my stall every other day to pick up some pickled puffers."
  17. "What makes you think they have any gold? Sounds to me like we're just supposed to trust them, go take care of the doc and a pot of gold will be magically waiting for us."
  18. "One final question and answer me straight, why do you need the "cure"? Why not let the doc make it on his own?"
  19. "Ha, indeed it does. Trade is not so bad, things have been a bit slower as of late though. These things come and go though, why back in my youth when the tunnels sealed up due to a cave in, no boat came or went for nearly a year, we survived though. You looking at setting up shop down here? What's your business?" The Teuthisal continues to stare at Atramor. "If you're not going to buy anything, move along you're holding up the line". There is no line of customers behind Atramor.
  20. "I'll give them one chance to explain themselves again, but if it doesn't match up, the Red Death will be the least of their worries."
  21. "So to save your comrade and avenge his kidnapping, you steal a potion? Not buying it friend, why don't you just give us back the potion and we'll forget about this whole ordeal. You don't want to fight us and your gold isn't going to stop anything. What do you say?" Boris walked into the light, mace over one shoulder.
  22. OoC: Skrall should be back to full health from his restoration. "I'm all for the windmill or the marsh, whatever you think's best. Everybody else holdin' up ok?"
  23. The dwarf smiles before taking out a hearing trumpet. "No need to shout my dear, I can hear you just fine now." The dwarf chuckles. "Sorry 'bout that, being partially deaf gives me an excuse to not bother with the trollop folks are always bringing to me. Soddin' nuisances." The dwarf pauses a moment to shout at the dock workers, "Put your backs into it, I can lift better than that with only one good arm." The dwarf turned back to Ellaria, "Now where were we? You're from Eubric you say? Fine city it is, though a bit too busy for my tastes."
  24. Boris calls out, but remains hidden. "Crimes? Sounds like he's an honorable chap, just wants to cure his nephew. We're listening."
  25. "I thought it obvious, I'm leading the group on the other side. Germ will head this group up." Boris led his group over to the other side of the camp, making sure to skirt the assassins with a wide berth.
