    QM Note: Sorry about the delay folks, had to finish up the Tavern build. "40 Gold for the *glisp* Dart and 40 Gold *spit* for the Wrench, best *glup* I can do." The Party heads for the Tipsy Tortoise. The tavern itself is easy to find, a giant turtle shell serving as the roof of the structure. Inside the group sees a wide array of sailors and citizens of the fishing village, the smell of grog and pipe weed is heavy on the air and the main room is thick with low conversations.

    With a flash and a jiffy our heroes departed Heading back down the mountain at a speed quite wholehearted When close to the village a shout did arise Poor councilmen Teddy met them with suprise "Oh heroes, oh heroes! She's gone, she's gone!" Thalion continues walking past the settlement.

    Thalion has made it a good 100 yards outside of the cavern so far. "I will return with you, Vindsval the Half Born. However if we start pulling away the toys, we may alert the monsters to our presence too early. We will need to determine the best course of action when we arrive." Grunch gathers his equipment and rolls a map into his pack. "If you are prepared or have no other questions, shall we be off?"

    "I've narrowed the hideout down to several locations, but between collecting more evidence from Mopag and getting the lay of the land, Mux and I haven't had time to investigate all of them. We haven't been able to acquire all the toys yet as sneaking into people's houses is somewhat problematic to begin with." QM Note: Nope, I can confirm -obelix- is still with us.

    "Long*splip*sword." The Krakkan appraises Germ's outstretched weapon "I'd give you 60 Gold for it." "Apparently ticked someone off in Salmanda enough to put a dead or alive bounty on him." The swashbuckler pauses for a moment. "He'd look like her, no offense miss, except Billy's a male Krakkan, so different eye color."

    "Very well, I'm after a Krakkan named Billy the Squid. He hangs out at the Tipsy Turtle apparently. Bring him back here and I'd be glad to exchange him for this Tiger Balm."

    "How benevolent of you," The orc sneers as he sits on the bed. "I am Grunch, sole survivor of Clan Grizknog of Baltarok and that is my companion, Mux. I am tracking a monster, a deceiver, a ruiner of all that is good. Four Grogmas's ago, my people were bestowed wonderful gifts as if from the gods, clockwork toys of amazing craftsmanship and ingenuity. We had no idea from whence they came nor did my clan care for they had never seen such wealth. Not two weeks after the toys appearing but the first child disappeared and then another and another. Until all were lost and their mothers and fathers perished looking for them in the wilderness. I alone suspected the coincidence of the event of with the appearing of the toys." The orc sighs, "With the help of Mux, I was able to at last track down the trail of one of the missing children. I arrived at an abandoned logging camp, freshly burnt to the ground the only evidence of occupation, small metal gears and the footprints of chained feet shuffling along through the snow. Mux and I followed the best we could but we never found anyone. One we returned home our village had burned to the ground, no one was left." Mux comes aside Grunch and lays his head on the orcs lap. "Mux and I wandered for the next three years and watched the same thing happen in Duplovia, in Ennon, in Moone always the same result, always moments too late. We came close once, small red cloaked figures with skin as black as coal. And that brings us to now, the village has no reason to trust me and so Mux and I have been trying to discover the hideout of these monsters before it is too late."

    "I'm right here." The werepenguin squeeks. "And no, I'm simply in town for business." "Yes, I've got a very important bounty I'm collecting on and I need to be prepared."

    "Not a lot *squip* demand so I don't keep it in stock. This gentlemen just bought the *glup* last one. Been *splip* sitting here for *spit* six months."

    "Oh, we *slpip* supply many goods to the village here. *Gloop* Have a look *Blipple* around." The swordsman turns and with a squeaky voice replies, "Actually I'm just finishing up, needed a Tiger Balm."

    The orc wakes with a start reaching for a sword beside the bed. The dire wolf jumps and growls at Vindsval. "Wha... What's going on here?" "Grrrrr"

    OoC: Thanks for the clarification. For future notice the way the rules are written, if you want to stop Blinded from not affecting your enemies' free hits (like the magic user), you can simply have him use his special damage for rolls of damage and free hits. Granted you'd need to reword things, but that's how the rules are written. Simply being a magic user doesn't mean he gets to circumvent that.

    As the party walks through Wailing Warf they notice that the vast majority of the citizenry is composed of Merfolk. Cruster's Castoffs is formed from the giant hollowed out shells of two giant crabs stacked one on top of the other. Inside the party finds a small general store manned by a squid like creature. "*Splip* Hello, we're getting ready *glup* to close up for the *gurgle* day. Can I *spit* help you?"

    The Party slowly encroaches further into the cavern. Stopping at the entrance they see a bed in one corner and a sleeping dire wolf with an antler tied to its head off to the other side of the cave.

    Aside from the falling snow, Pretzel does not spot anything sneaking up on them.

    OoC: Healing costs, 1 ether per target not per hit point restored. "Cedric, do you mind sparing one of your smelling salts for me, I'll repay you later." Boris tosses one of his Blind Bombs from the back row. "This should buy us some breathing room." If Cedric hastens him, the cleric then attacks Da Boss's Bro from the front row with his Honeydrop Staff.     As Thalion picks up the unicorn a puff of green poisonous gas radiates from the clockwork's interior mechanism. As Matthias investigates he determines that the mouth of the cave has been ringed with lead as if to put in place some sort of ward. The cloak is the same that Vindsval investigated earlier.

    Thalion notes several toys in various states of deconstruction including a clockwork Unicorn. Tools and other parts lay scattered about the table. Inspecting the documents, Thalion notes that most of them are crudely drawn diagrams of the different mechanisms. A map of Mopag and the surrounding area with several "X"s outside of town clearly marked. The cloak is worn, but lined with a good padding so as to stave off the cold. The sack contains more toys and the backpack is filled with rations and a compass. Magic Compass (Allows the user to know the right direction to go.) From inside further in the cave a faint snoring can be heard.

    "Great! What I need isss a doctor, not one of my adoring fa... fa... Achoo!" A few hail stones rain down from overhead clattering off of Germ's shield. "Fansss." "Do I sssound well?"

    QM Note: Yes, they're supposed to be blacked out as the party can't see who is speaking.

    A crackling bolt of purple lightning strikes the ground right next to Hoke. A voice calls out from inside the tower. "What do you waa... waa... achoo!" Another crackling bolt of lightning strikes the ground on Hoke's other side. "Want?"
