Sorry Nightshroud, I should of explained the 'gist' more in the first post of the topic. The purpose of this topic is to compare the sets with the scenes from the movies and point out the continuity errors. That's why I left this thread open to the Hobbit sets. See, I'm not too good with LOTR.

Well, I've always loved the 'Avengers Sets - The Continuity Errors' topic, and I was amazed nobody has made a topic about this for LOTR (I did a quick search, and none showed up). It's basically a topic pointing out the errors with the sets based on the scenes from the movies. I recently finished watching the LOTR trilogy, so I gonna make a lot of mistakes. Also, if you haven't seen the LOTR trilogy yet, this topic contains spoilers!!! Gandalf Arrives The carriage from the movie can fit two people, but the set only fits one (probably to keep the cost down). Shelob Attacks In the movie, Sam doesn't see Smeagol when the Shelob is out, and Gollum doesn't have a fish when he tackles Frodo. Also, the Shelob is entirely black in the movie (?). Uruk-Hai Army As far as I could tell, none. Attack On Weathertop The whole fellowship, three Ringwirths and Sam, Frodo, and Merry was in this scene (?), but they probably didn't include them to keep the cost down. There also wasn't a room inside Weathertop. The Mines of Moria The same problems about the minifigures on in the Attack on Weathertop (excluding the Ringwriths). The Battle Of Helm's Deep Missing a lot of figures, but if they made that much figures, it would cost a million bucks. The Orc Forge Pretty good as far as I can tell. What inconsistencies with the sets can you find?

I was checking the box of the Werewolf set today, and on the side, it's misprinted! It shows the preliminary photo! Also, I've watched all the videos of the monsters on the website, and they were great all quite humorous. My favorite has to be the ghost one. I cracked up on that one!

Yes, here is a list of a few grand opening products. The only actual grand opening set was this one from Legoland Deutschland. There was also a set that released to coincide with the opening of a LEGOLand. There's probably more, but I can't find them at the moment. I'm a self-proclaimed LEGO historian.

Excellent review, 'CorneliusMurdock'! I got this set Friday, and I finally got around to building this set on Monday (when watching Return of the King for the first time). This set is great, and pretty faithful to the movie!

Heck yeah, well at least back in 2008 and 2009. For some examples, most Power Miner sets, most impulse sets, and all the Space Police sets I brought.

Has anyone noticed the shortage on the Loki's Cosmic Cube Escape set? I haven't ever seen it anywhere! I thought the Wolverine set would be sold out before Loki's Cosmic Cube Escape!

Good review, 'Artanis I'! I got this set on Friday, and it truly is a marvel. Everything about the set is perfect, and so far it's definitely my favorite set of 2012. 900th Post!

Excellent review, 'Flipz'! I think this is way better than the LEGO VIP exclusive CMF set, and LEGO hyped that one up way more than they did with this set. I don't have any of the Surfer CMFs, so this is great for me!

If the movie was like this, I would see it on opening day. I don't care for Hero Factory, but darn. This reminds me of the quality movies from The Asylum.

Thanks! On the topic of the Ghost Train set, it has a strikingly similarity to the Toy Story Western Train set. I've been listening to a ton of NES Castlevania music recently.

Nice review, 'Wrinkledog'! Out of all the Mining sets, this will probably be the one I pick up. My favorite Mining set is the Mine set, though that's too overpriced.

Same here, and I might stop watching it. It's becoming to be a bit boring and repetitive.

It's as bad as I expected it to be when it was first announced. The Fisherman figure is now near worthless to me, except for his beard. Buy the CMF Beach set instead of this, unless you're desperate to have the Elf figure!

The only sets that are older than me are two sets I picked up in 2008- Pizza To Go and Ghostly Hideout. I'm so old!

Good review, 'The Fezter'! I'm not really interested in this set, but I do like the amount of dark green pieces in it. It also looks pretty cool when it's built.

One of my new favorite sets is 9468 Vampyre Castle. The play features are amazing. The figures are amazing. The pieces are amazing. And it looks amazing. It really is an amazing set!

It measures to around 17.5 inches, so around 444.5 mm.
