The LEGO Movie Sets News and Discussion
just2good replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Wow, this means a lot to me. Thank you! A father and son bonding over one of my videos? Wow, thanks! Aww, cute! I guess I won't be getting that set anytime soon if it'll be $300 USD too.- 2,626 replies

Simpsons Collectable Minifigures aka Series 13 (non-official term)
just2good replied to kasmca's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Nope. It's been like this for years. Series 7 was slated for a May release but came in mid-to-late-April in the US. Series 10 was the same, too. I'm not sure if that's only in the US though, as we usually get the "August" series in late August. -

Despite the prices in other countries (which I think have their own retail markups), I believe the Spaceship will be $90 USD, the Construction Mech $50, and the Dropship $70.- 2,626 replies

Such a lovely set... Love the price! Also, the release date is so much sooner- thanks Carlos!

Huh. Would you look at that. It got revealed earlier than I expected!

Eh, I really don't mind that. It would be pretty hard to have it connect top hallway. I'm sure they'd do that- if there's multiple CMF Series. The first series should just have the "iconic" variations of the characters, and would include the most recognizable characters. We would get Snowball V, who is basically just Snowball II. Definitely in February or late January. They'll be at the British Toy Fair later this month, but there's no photography allowed there, so we should see them at the German Toy Fair late January or the American Toy Fair early February. Because this is a D2C set that will be sold and produced in less quantities (most likely) than the CMF Series. There's no early VIP release January 17th. February 17th has one, but it's the Sea Cow. I'm sure March 17th will be the early VIP release for this.

Homer, Marge, Lisa, Bart, Chief Wiggum, Apu, Itchy and Scratchy, and Moe. Then we had Ned and Maggie. As big off a Simpsons fan I am, what is (hopefully) printed on this tile Bart is looking at?
-
Haha, love it! It's so odd that they're feature on the boxart, as they cannot be found in the set at all. I'm sure they'll be in the CMF Series though.

Celebrity pants wetter - Based on the hilarious A.V. Club article that featured my post in response to the reveal of The Simpsons House, where I said "My pants are wet." Thanks, Brickthing!

Wow! "summoning a manservant to freshen his trousers." Okay, that was FUNNY! So many sites have been reporting on this mentioning Eurobricks and Carlos S, but I never expected my stupid comment to be featured. Okay, okay... Back to the set... No, unfortunately I don't think the set will come with Lisa's saxaphone. I can't spot in anywhere on the box. It's sure to come in the $3 CMF packs, so I don't really mind. The same can be said with SLH and Snowball.
-
Hey, I thought this was gonna be the Sea Cow set release date. This set is coming sooner than I though, so all is good.

Judging by that South African shop, the GotG sets are expensive! ~$35 ~$55 ~$90 Plus, that X-Men set is ~$55. I really hope these are good, or I might have to halt my LEGO Marvel Super Heroes buy-every-set creed.

She hasn't come yet. I do have the updated Homer and Ned figures, so I'll try to get off my lazy butt and review 'em and take pictures.
-
While I have not received the minifigure yet, her torso and legs are all one part. Sweet! I hope this isn't just a Europe thing though, as none of my LEGO Brand Stores here in the states knew what the heck I'm talking about when I asked them.
-
Was this an independent retailer or a LEGO Brand Store? Ha! It was supposed to be a Christmas surprise, but she never came in time.
-
No it isn't. That's just because All About Bricks said there were supposed to be Marvel CMFs some time ago that were never produced.

This x1000. The Parisian is AMAZING, don't get me wrong, but the detail in this set is just awesome. And, it will probably be around $200. Even better!
-
What?! You sure that was for this set? If that's true, awesome!
-
Nice find LT! I like that, because if they're all unique builds, I think buying three is worth it. The more I hear about this set, the better it sounds!
