I'm here to announce with a heavy heart that the new Hobbit sets won't be shown in public display at the 2014 NYTF. They're completely excluded from the press release.

They could always just use Gail's hair piece in black. I wouldn't look PERFECT, but it could do.- 2,626 replies

It isn't totally bad. There's lots of big pieces in it that raise up the price. Don't believe I posted it here, but I reviewed that set last week. I really like it.

Speaking of Captain America... here's the last one! I love the minifigures in this set! Sure, it would have been cool if Cap had some boot leg printing, and that the enemy minifigures weren't showing their teeth, but they still rock. The build itself is... weird. I like the play-feature with the wheels moving up and down and the rotating "canon", but the design itself is so awkward. I do like Cap's motorcycle, though!

I'm even starting to think LR is the reason we didn't see any TLM western sets based on a building.

Oh sweet, still in love with the box design.

It sure is a darn shame. I've been hoping for a D2C Sandy's Treedome set, and sets based of the second film next year. But, excellent idea with the Homer arms. I so wanna see a picture of Spongebob with 'em. I'm too lazy to take my own, but I guess we'll see.

Next up is the Juniors Spider-Car! Overall, that car is SO cute! I like the printed pieces and the main Juniors frame- sure, they have VERY limited uses, but it's so fun to swoosh the car around. But, I really wish the set had some varied minifigures- the two we get both come in the $20 Spider-Cycle Chase set (sans the red hinge on the legs, which looks MUCH better). Still, the set will be a hit with younger kids for sure.

LEGO World 2014, Copenhagen - meet?

Thanks for the pictures! Well, the Ice Breaker set is a new retail exclusive set, so I guess it's cool to see it there. -
Future The LEGO Movie Sets - Wishlist

I would just love a set with Cloud Cuckoo Land that included Shaq. Of course, licensing issues would get in the way, but I love that new version of Shaq and the basketball launcher. -
Thanks man! Okay, here's the Spider-Trike review! Electro really makes this set good. His "vehicle" is pretty nice, but I love the minifigure. Otherwise, the Spider-Man part of this set blows. I don't like the look of it, and there's really no interesting parts to that build.

They're at the LEGO store, too! I got myself the Penguin set. I'll cover it once I'm done with Marvel.

Yeah, I didn't touch on it, but there is no feature there. Just a sticker. Odd.

Thanks for the support y'all! It means a lot! Yeah, and it seems like it really is $50- that's what it's listed for on TRU.com. Woah, thank you 'eldiano' for all these pictures! I just reviewed the Doc Ock set, so here's the review and my share of pictures: Overall, I love the truck build of this set! But the best part is definitely Doc Ock. I wish the other two figures were better, though.

Next up is the Hulk Lab Smash! This set is so fun to play with, and the figures are amazing. The build itself looks much better once you add stickers. The piece count is low for a $60 set, though.

So I got all the Marvel sets earlier today... Surprise! Plans didn't work the way I wanted them to, so I'll be having (hopefully) video reviews and pictures here of three sets up tonight. First up is my least favorite, the Spider-Helicopter! This set is good for the figures, but the build is bland and very under detailed. I do like the Spider-Man "dropship" play feature- the middle cockpit is really just an open space, but there's a button you can push to send Spidey swinging down with his web sling. Apologies for the poor photo quality on the minifigure photos, I was in a rush to take these photos and cannot retake them for the rest of the night. More on my Flickr!

The LEGO Movie is amazing! I'm going to see it a third time in theaters, soon.

Here he is! LEGO The Simpsons Milhouse Don't... don't ask how I got this.
-
Not at the moment.
-
That's really cute! If it's available in stores, I could see this being a good start for non-HF fans to get into HF!
-
They have, unfortunately. The Toy Story 3 sets and Iron Man 3/Man of Steel sets were secret the year they came out.
-
Same here. Let's hope they'll cowrite it, like they did with this one.
