  1. LEGO Creative Director, Matt, has entered a contest with this excellent custom Kylie Minogue minifig: Today's the last day to vote There's still plenty of time to vote and he's only 20 votes away from moving up a spot!, so let's thank him for all his great design and theme concepts over the years and vote for his entry here. And you can join in the discussion over his cool custom fig here.
  2. My buddy Matt has designed a lot of cool LEGO themes over the years. He is now in charge of Theme Production (or some impressive title) over at TLG. He's entered a Kylie Minogue contest and it'd be fun to support him considering all the cool themes and molds he's brought us through the years. Click here and then click on the 10th star to vote for him in this fun and creative contest! Thanks!
  3. I love the work you've done here! Very classic shape, seemingly simple build, but when you look closer, the details are so intricate. You've really captured the feel of a true Japanese Pagoda Temple and done so very well in minifig scale. The first thing that stands out to me is the use of the angled plates to make the envelope roof. You must've felt pretty good when those corners matched up! Excellent work. I'd love to see more from you. This is really exciting and inspiring.
  4. Since when did our profiles get so stalker-y? This is creepy. I can see who's been looking at me. Does that mean they know when I've looked at them????

  5. I want to be a friend. :_(

  6. Get out of my profile. Who are you people???

  7. I concur with Siegfried. Please start using punctuation or your quest for knight will end before you can don your squire boots.
  8. Thank you. Well, tedious is relative. Thanks for the nice feedback.
  9. Hey, I also live in CA. They even let us jerky Americans on staff. Welcome. I work for the LEGOLAND brand designing models. Do you live near the park? Are you a SANDLUG or LUGoLA member? Have I met you? My profile says Sweden, but it's really San Diego.
  10. Awesome review Holodoc! What a great product. It really stimulates creativity and challenges people to build onto it. Very reasonably priced too. I'm glad to see something like this exists. Really makes me want to play! Thanks for sharing and giving this excellent concept and product some well-deserved exposure!
  11. So, was there ever a part two to this saga?
  12. Not to mention that the Google ads appear by what is being talked about, so the only way that came up in the first place was there was no text on the page you were on and Google had to insert an ad based on other information on your browser or by completely random chance. The probability of that happening again is pretty low...
  13. Awesome! Can't wait to see more from you. The edge is missing, isn't it? This MOC was a series of quick ones I built in very limited time for Brickworld. I photographed them in even less time at my parents' house before going back to CA where I only had two weeks to get ready to go to Malaysia for four months. So, that's my excuse. The chimney was an experiment and it was parts intensive. I have been working with randomizing. In Miniland building, since there's more surface area, it can create some great textures and looks. However, in minifig or Fabuland scale there's a lot less space and it doesn't always look right. So, yes, I'm trying to find better ways to get random stone and brick textures. And it needed to look like a different dimension than the "stones" making the cottage. Great to hear from you! Thanks for checking out my MOC. I'll be checking for a new creation from you soon.
  14. Thanks for the feedback guys! It's nice to be posting MOCs again. I built a bunch for Brickworld and haven't had a chance to post them yet. So, hopefully, I can post some more over the coming weeks. The tree is a transplant from our Sherwood Forest layout and was designed by CopMike. They are cool, aren't they?
  15. Gaellen Goat is the FABULAND gardener. In addition to tending other people's gardens, she is very proud of her own beautiful landscaping surrounding her quaint stone cottage. She loves to have friends over to entertain in her lush and welcoming yard. Check out the whole gallery here *The tree trunks are a CopMike design.* Check out the whole gallery here
  16. The numbers are generally the actual mold numbers that appear on each piece. Just look on the "tube" side of each element and you should be able to find a 4 or 5 digit code. That's the product's mold number.
  17. This is beautiful! Great work. It really reminds me of the old Forestmen sets, except with more muscle. Bigger, better, greener! Way to ride the piggy! I especially love the rope bridge/walkway. Really smart building. Thanks for sharing.
  18. So, this is how the game will end: I will go through each chapter and compile the clues that were found...and consequently completely ignored. I will start a new thread summarizing the events and clues found in each chapter. Then I will PM the remaining players asking them a series of questions. When I get the answers, I will orchestrate an ending to the story. When I return to the States in Novemeber I will construct and photograph the ending and post it. In the meantime, we can analyze the entire thing and figure out where it went wrong, besides-of course-the fact that the host kept having to leave the state or country or what have you. But, hopefully we can all look at the process of the game and figure out how to play and run Mystery Games in the future. They are certainly fun but a lot of hard work on everyone's part. Business trips cannot get in the way of them if they are to be run correctly. So...there we have it. There will be a complete ending to this game one way or another. Thoughts?
  19. Good point. It at least belongs in the dedicated Brickworld forum.
  20. No no. It will end. Not with pictures, but the story will conclude. Thanks Shadows! All great points. I'll respond to more after more people have shared their thoughts.
  21. Walter, I think I can tell you more about that at the end of the game. So far, there's not a whole lot of experience with mystery games here on EB and sometimes I feel like I don't know exactly the best way to host one and likewise that the players aren't sure what's expected of them... That being said, I would like to ask the remaining players what they think of the game, start an honest discussion about what can be improved in the future and what they need to end the game and how they would like to proceed. The rest of the game will have to appear without brick as my employer is sending me to Malaysia for four months and I am just insane trying to get caught up before I leave, in exactly three weeks. So, let's have it. Please be as honest as you can be and constructive to the point where mystery games become a fun and functional part of our Games forum.
  22. Yay! I remember you! I liked you
