Hello animators, comic writers and fans! Judging by the success of the Reviewers Academy and some of the photoshop and picture tutorials on our site, I would like to try out a test group for a possible Brick Flicks and Comics Academy. The activity in this forum is pretty slow and I think with some work, we can change that. Volunteers needed should be skilled in stop motion filming or comic creation. We will also need volunteers who are interested in being students. So please reply to this thread if you are interested and we will put together a beta group in about two weeks and see if this is something viable we can do here.

There are approximately 22 hours left in the day. vote tally Dmitri (Dragonator): 3 votes (iamded, WhiteFang, Sandy)

Thank you, Phred. This slipped my mind. Welcome Ricey! Glad to have you on board. Thanks for agreeing to use your talents to help us out here in the Town forum.
-
How about I close it instead? There's no review. Perhaps you can do one once you own it. No need to get angry with some unknown force that doesn't like the set you want. Just weird...
-
Sorry for the delay. You may now vote. You have 46 hours to reach a conviction. With 16 players left, it takes 9 votes to lynch. Nothing else interesting is happening in Moonlight at this time. Carry on with your business.

Baritones 3 Confirmation and Discussion thread
Hinckley replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Thank you Roncanator and CorneliusMurdock for playing. It's been an excellent game so far! I'm glad you guys could participate. Thanks for contributing to the fun. You're always fun in these games. Congratulations on going out in a way that will be considered epic for some time. In my opinion, it's one of the most memorable mafia deaths in some time. Can't wait to explain how it happened. But that will have to wait for the conclusion. -
In the early hours of the morning, a dark figure stalks Main St. in Moonlight. This figure is carrying a grenade, no-not an apple, and stalking someone they have found suspicious. "How does this thing work?" The figure says, "It should be pretty simple. Just pull the p..." Kaboom! The grenade has backfired on the dark figure and blown her up instead. The Cross-Dressing Construction Man is first on the scene. He runs downstairs after hearing the explosion and feeling the building shake. "Oh my!" He exclaims, "It appears some sort of explosion has killed one of our firefighters!" "I do believe it was Nika," Steve observes. The remains of Nika (CorneliusMurdock) lay scattered along the sidewalk... Ivan and Agent Veronica have come to the street to see what the commotion is about. "Oh, how dreadful!" Cries Agent Veronica. "Oh, Nika. Poor girl," Ivan says. Suddenly the whole town arrives at the same exact time to discover what the explosion was. "People of Moonlight!" Ivan addresses the crowd, "We are losing more and more innocent townies to the mob every night! Ruxana (Roncanator) was inexplicably a member of the Town! We have also lost our dear sweet Nika (CorneliusMurdock) who was also a member of the Town. How did this mistake happen? We must be more open with each other about what we know. Why are you doing all of your dealings in the privates? Talking together about situation is productive and helpings! Make sure you are bringing all info to public so shady private dealings can't end up hurting you!" Timur glances at the puddle of body parts and guts that used to be his sister. He thought it looked familiar. He steels his resolve in the face of losing a sibling a day for the last two days. "I have come to the agreement that lynching your neighbors is a good idea," Agent Veronica tells them. "Hooray!" Someone yells. "Let's lynch someone!" Another person shouts. "Let's think of the children!" Yet another person cries. "You are up against many threats," Agent Veronica says, "It is not yet clear, even to the FBI, what this town faces. In addition to the lynching, I will be helping the innocent townies with some extra ability at night. It's time to kick this thing into high gear." "That is my badass sexy!" Ivan proudly exclaims. Day Five has now begun. You may not vote in the first 24 hours. ____________________ The Rules: Each player will be given a character to play, who will be aligned with either the Town or the Scum. To win the game, the Town must kill off all the Scum, while the Scum needs to outnumber the Town. Any third party player will have win conditions that are detailed in their role PM... Each day you will be able to vote to lynch a player. Voting should be done in the following format; Vote: Character (Player). Similarly, unvoting is to be done in the format; Unvote: Character (Player). No other format will be accepted. A majority vote is required to lynch a player. You may also proxy your vote to another player, using this format; proxy: Character (Player) You are only allowed one unvote per game day. A game day will last 72 hours. You may not vote in the first 24 hours. After the day has concluded, a night stage will commence, which will last 48 hours. Night actions must be sent to the host in the first 24 hours of the night stage, or they will not be accepted, no exceptions. If you do not reach a conviction, there will be a penalty... The alignment of lynched players, as well as those that died during the night, will be revealed at the beginning of the next day. You may not quote or pretend to quote anything sent to you by the game host via PM. This includes all the details of your character and role, as well as any night action results. Role claims and reporting of night action results are acceptable, but in your own words only. Do not attempt to use the structure of your role PM to your advantage. Do not play the game outside the thread. Similarly, do not post out of character inside the thread. Game tactics and roles may only be discussed in the game thread or via PM with other players. Private discussion is done at your own risk and should be treated as part of the game. If you are dead, you may not post in thread or discuss the game with any of the players. Any information you had becomes void, and may not be passed on. If you are converted, you must accept your new affiliation. If it's proven that you gave up your new team after conversion, the whole game will be null and you will most likely not to be asked to play one of my games again. You may not edit your posts. You must post in every day thread. If you encounter a problem or have a question, please contact the host via PM. Please please please use only the confirmation PM I sent you to communicate with me. While everyone is gathering at Fogo de Chao for Ruxana's last meal, Agent Veronica comes by to see the play. "Agent Veronica," Ivan says, "How nice to see you. I was thinking you were angry with me." "Well it was a stressful day," Agent Veronica sighs, "I thought it would be nice to see a play." "Oh well you are lucky," Ivan tells her, "Because tonight we are performing...um...what is being your favorite play?" "The Sound of Music." Agent Veronica answers. "Well, you are in the luck!" Ivan cries, "That is being the exact play we are performing this night!" "Oh, how exciting!" Agent Veronica says. The Cross-Dressing Construction man quickly gets everyone prepared for the new change of plans. "No, I've never seen The Sound of Music. Shoot me." Ruxana says. "I should, but we need you to play Maria." The Cross-Dressing Construction Man tells her. "Why me?" Ruxana asks. "Because you look Austrian." The Cross-Dressing Construction Man explains, "You must be the only citizen of the United States that has never seen that movie." "Bite me, fruitcake," Ruxana says. "Now now," The Cross-Dressing Construction Man says, "Being bitter won't stop you from being lynched." "Will anything?" Ruxana asks. "No." The Cross-Dressing Construction Man answers. "Teach us how to sing, Frauline Maria!" The children cry. "What the hell are you talking about?" Ruxana asks, "How am I supposed to do that?" "Play the guitar and sing us a song about how to sing and then we'll learn to sing." Yan tells her. "Play the guitar and duh duh duh duh duh duh." Ruxana mocks him, "I don't play the guitar." "Well sing the song." Yan says, "Even if you've never seen the movie, I'm sure you've heard the song. Do, a deer..." "Dough a deer and deep fry it." Ruxana sings, "Venison doughnuts help you learn to sing!" "No no," complains Yan, "Do-Re-Mi..." "Doraymi?" Ruxana asks, "Shut the hell up, kid." "I am Sixteen going on Seventeen," Raya sings. "I'm the Nazi boy who breaks your heart." Dmitri sings in return. "I don't remember Maria beating the children." Agent Veronica comments, "And this song's new lyrics seems to give the ending away." "Is rude to talk during performance." Ivan tells her. "Maria! Maria!" The children cry, "The thunderstorm is frightening us. Sing us a song!" "What is the matter with you kids?" Ruxana asks, "Don't you have a record player or phonograph? What year is it supposed to be?" "Just sing us a song about your favorite things and we'll feel better," Boris explains. "My favorite things," sings Ruxana, "are not being lynched by my neighbors. My favorites things also include people believing me when I tell them I'm an unblockable tracker. My favorite things are not having dead mimes on the sidewalk or Full Moon Festivals where clowns violate cheerleaders." "I wet the bed." Nika says. "Climb every mountain..." "Nuns, Nazis and Goat puppets?" Ruxana asks, "This play is ducked up." "Stop, singing family!" Dmitri cries, "We will shoot you for not being Nazis!" "Rolf!" Raya cries, "You're breaking my heart like the song said! However the song said nothing about you turning us over to the Nazis to face prison for trying to flee the country..." "Sorry about that," Dmitri says, "I tried to be as specific as possible." "Can this play get any stupider?" Ruxana asks. "All right jerks!" The Cross-Dressing Construction Man shouts, "I'm going to start shooting singers if you don't join the Nazi party!" Bang! "Oh no! Our Mommy!" The children cry. "I thought she was just some nun..." Someone says. "Whatever" is the reply. And this is the end for Ruxana (Roncanator). "This play doesn't end like that!" Agent Veronica observes, "You're still lynching people." "Lynching is the using of ropes." Ivan points out, "We are not using ropes. Didn't know shooting mob was illegal. You should be more specific." "This isn't funny," Agent Veronica admonishes Ivan, "You know this is illegal. And you're putting me in a terrible spot! I have to turn you over to the FBI." "Then you will be arresting me then." Ivan says, "For I will stop at nothing to get these scum. They have taken my family, my wife's family and many friends from my life. I would rather lose my life trying to fight them than live allowing them to hurt more people. Arrest me if you must, but I am glad to pay this prize... "Price." Agent Veronica corrects him. "Price..." Ivan continues, "...to making Moonlight a better place. What value has a man's life unless he can be using it for the saving of so many others?" "Make love to me." Agent Veronica says. "That is sounding like the better plan than being arrested." Ivan responds. Day Four is now over. You have 24 hours to get your night actions in. Late night actions will not be accepted.

Celebrating Three Years of the Reviewers Academy!
Hinckley replied to Masked Builder's topic in Forum Information and Help
Congratulations Reviewers Academy from Classic-Town.net. -
Great review! I've highlighted it in a blog post. And congratulations on three successful years of the Reviewers Academy. Hard work pays off and high quality reviews like this are the awesome result. What a very fun, yet bizarre, set. Paradisa was like this, though. "What will girls like?" "An arcade?" "Maybe. But, it will need a bird, a lottery wheel and a baby carriage." "An empty baby carriage?" "Is there any other kind?" And where's the fried egg tap? No consistency. Just kidding. This set is cool for what it's worth. You gave it a fair review and thorough analysis. I can't see anybody but the most die-hard Paradisa fans paying $90 USD for this. But they did succeed at making a nice "playset." Thanks for sharing the review with us and please keep up the great work.

Awesome review. I've highlighted it in a blog post. Congratulations on the Reviewers Academy 3 year anniversary! I really miss this series. I wish they would release something along this line again. I wonder if it just didn't do well. I know adult train fans loved it. I wonder if it just never caught on with the kiddies.

I really like your style. You have a great eye for detail and a unique look. Thanks for sharing them with us here. I've blogged this discussion and your flickr photostream. Please keep up the excellent work!

Please capitalize the beginnings of sentences and the word "I." This is not a cell phone and your account will be suspended if you continue to use textspeak. Thank you. It's been a little less than 2 years since the last update and our new Regulator, Phred, is working on an update now. It looks fantastic.

vote tally Ruxana (Roncanator): 11 votes (Peanuts, Sandy, Captain Tamamono, CorneliusMurdock, Quarryman, WhiteFang, Brickdoctor, CallMePieOrDie, JimButcher, Fugazi, Pandora) I think I've asked enough times for you to vote in the correct format. Next time, your character will be killed off. Immediately. Thank you
-
vote tally Ruxana (Roncanator): 10 votes (Peanuts, Sandy, Captain Tamamono, CorneliusMurdock, Quarryman, WhiteFang, Brickdoctor, CallMePieOrDie, JimButcher, Fugazi) A conviction has been reached. The day will continue until 72 hours are up. During this time, the conviction can be overturned. If you are content with your vote, you may start sending in preliminary night actions. If the day continues this way until the end, I may be able to post the conclusion and next day right away. Thanks.

Great job, Bob! Thanks for playing. -
Samuel and Irene have been spending quite a bit of time together lately. After Irene lost Benji on the same day Samuel lost Sarah, Irene has kept an eye out for Samuel, making sure he doesn't feel lonely or get too depressed. "That's going to be a lovely painting," Samuel tells Irene. "Does it look like Sarah?" Irene asks. "Yes, you've captured her likeness very well," Samuel tells her, "And I like that she's together with Benji." "I think they're watching out for each other until we get there." Irene says. "Let's hope that's later rather than sooner, my dear friend." Samuel laughs. "Oh how sweet!" Barbara cries, "You two are watching out for each other." "It is so nice to find something positive during these tragic times," Boris agrees, "I couldn't imagine losing my lovely Barbara." "You might not want to turn to your right then." Irene cautions. But Boris does turn to his right and is horrified at what he sees: his wife, Barbara, collapsed on the ground. "No!!!!!!!" Boris cries, "Not Barbara! No. Wait, darling hang on. Please! You're OK! You're OK!" But, she isn't OK. Boris checks for a pulse and can't find one. "I didn't get to say goodbye..." Boris begins to cry. Barbara (Bob the Construction Man) was a member of the Town. "I'm going to need a bigger canvas." Irene says. The Deceased Benji, a businessman, married to Irene, played by Big Cam - convicted on Day One (Town) Eugene, a manager of The Green Door Tavern, played by Eskallon - murdered on Night One (Town) Sarah, a retired piano teacher, married to Samuel, played by Sirius Black - died mysteriously during Day Two (Town) Yuri, a personal trainer, played by badboytje88 - Murdered on Night Two (Town) Elena, a college professor, played by Inconspicuous - murdered on Night Two (Town) Max, a lawyer, played by Masked Builder - died mysteriously during Day Three (Scum) Donil, a police officer, brother of Nika and Timur, played by Waterbrick Down - convicted on Day Three (Scum) Petr, a construction worker, played by Zepher - murdered on Night Three (Town) Stanislav, brewery manager, played by Shadows - murdered on Night Three (Town) Barbara, a yoga instructor, married to Boris, played by Bob The Construction Man - died mysteriously during Day Four (Town) You may now vote. You have 48 hours to reach a conviction. With 18 players left it takes 10 votes to lynch. Because that's the majority. That's what majority means. Not a word you can "play with." Duh.

Shadows, WaterbrickDown, Zepher, you are all awesome players. Very sorry to see you go. Especially Shadows! I wanted to see him get the trifecta. Oh well. You all really did do an awesome job. Thank you so much for playing. See you next time in Moonlight! -
It is a much quieter night in Moonlight. Not a creature was stirring...except for that ostrich. Down the street a ways, Petr foolishly walks through the gloomy shade of night alone. "God damn it!" Zepher says, "You may as well not waste any more time. We know I'm dying. You've showed my face." There, is that better? "Hardly." an anonymous dark figure complains, "I, Petr, am greatly annoyed by this!" Another dark figure approaches. "Oh shut up already." It says. Bang! And that is the end of Petr (Zepher). It is now the wee hours of the morning, just before dawn. Stanislav wanders the street outside Ivan's deli, disoriented. A dark figure walks up, laughing. Ratatatatatatatatat! And that is the end of Stanislav (Shadows). In the morning, Ivan sees a crowd below his balcony and assumes they are there to hear the results of yesterday's lynch. "I am having the good news, everyone!" Ivan tells them, "Donil (Waterbrick Down) was a member of The Russian Mafia. However, last night we lost Petr (Zepher) who was a member of the Town." "Ivan, I think you should come down here," The Cross-Dressing Construction Man says. Ivan comes down to the street to see a horrifying sight: his brother Stanislav (Shadows) dead on the sidewalk. Stanislav was a member of the Town. "No!!!!!!" Ivan cries. Ivan throws himself on his dear brother's body. "No, please! Not my brother!" Ivan cries. "He was such a good man! OK, so sometimes complete megablocks, but deep down such a good man!" "There must be justice for my family's blood!!" Ivan cries, "Today we must lynch a mobster!" "Lynch?" Agent Veronica asks, "I knew it! I told you countless times, no lynch mobs. But you did it anyway! It's illegal. Do you know how much trouble you can be in with the law? And I'm the law!!!" "Are you saying we use the handcuffs tonight?" Ivan offers. But Agent Veronica storms off, very angry. "Oh no," Ivan sighs, "I have hurt the feelings of young lady by not being honest about forming lynch mob to kill friends and neighbors. Will I never learn?" "Today is the day we take our town back!" Ivan says as everyone gathers around, "Now there is no day ending when voting is complete! We continue to discuss and strategize after conviction is reached! There are helpful ways for town to speak and chance to turn over conviction! No rule about unvoting after conviction is reached and no more death for no voting. That is cruel trick of Full Moon Festival. Now we use our 72 hours to find scummy bags. Still only one unvote, so make extra sure it is being used with the smart brains so we can catch mobsters! You megablocks of mothers have killed my brother and you will pay. I must find way to help town! This is meaning the war!!!" And after that rousing speech, the citizens of Moonlight, once again, begin discussing who among them is likely to be a scummy bag. Day Four has now begun. You may not vote in the first 24 hours. ____________________ The Rules: Each player will be given a character to play, who will be aligned with either the Town or the Scum.
