Damn right it was me. Stupid Rouge, being 2 hours late with my Mafia fix and then killing me off even while I had my Schnooky-ookums and my bwankie!

The Curse of IMHOTEP - Conclusion
Hinckley replied to Pandora's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Yes, boo to Nancy the snake, but hooray for the Cherrinator. When Eskallon came to me with that and I had to explain it to him, I knew he was legit Campie. It reeked of Pandufus. Nancy the Snake? I guess I can see the humor now, but coming from Pie? Booo!!!! Perhaps Richard the Snake is too crude and obvious for the flowery prose of Pandora. Shows what I know. That did make me a little suspicious of Foog because he said it was a normal name and role description. Our blocker even gave people the shits, so I found that a little tough to believe. But Fangy and ADHO claimed to have more normal descriptions too so I thought you had already thought of the idiots idioms. But, good call. Your particular language and humor did make certain roles easily verifiable. -

I fudged the numbers and made up some roles, of course. Well, maybe I only made up one, but I told some people that three of them were made up. I am curious too why so many people found me trustworthy. I think my frantic un-voting and re-voting was somehow seen as pro-Town. The Easter Eggs proved I knew the structure of the two types of town role PMs. For those who have no idea what the Easter Eggs were I said something like: Everyone listen! That's in the bold blue color of the Virgin word in the Virgin PM. One virgin, I think it was fhomess, PMed me to point out that def and Kiel had done the same thing previously. The other Easter Egg was, while postulating that all vanilla Campies were Virgins, I told people that: You can't have a nocturnal skill if you've shown skill nocturnally. Which was a rewording of the Campie Action PMs that said: Your night action (Because you've had action at night before ) or something like that. I half expected a penalty vote. But Wuntin, Waterbrick Down and Eskallon all claimed to me so that we wouldn't lynch them. The Easter Eggs didn't help so much unless I was trying to verify the others. Foog verified somehow. I forget how he did it. So, it wasn't really an advantage. Some of the noobs came by and said "Is everyone claiming to you? Should I trust you?" I tell them not to trust me until they had reason to. But through conversation I could tell most of them were sincere. I had a lot of conversations going with people where they took their time to trust me and claim, which took about 8 days, which was only 2 game days. Zepher was real stand-offish for a while. Obviously, JimB didn't like the idea of people claiming to me. ADHO came around pretty quick at the beginning. I know Fangy in real life so we can tell when the other is lying, so we started working together right away. My default mode is talking to Cornelius Murdock, Fugazi and Rick, so unfortunately we had a group PM about 5 minutes after we started. Kiel was in there too, but we decided he was suspicious. As questionable as the Easter Eggs were, they weren't quite as well utilized as it might seem. And Cecilie, one of my closest allies, didn't claim to me until TPRU made the fake investigator claim. I'm glad I never spilled to him what I was spilling to Foog. But, I really did want to tell TPRU everything just to take a load off of my brain. A veteran player and firend is the investigator? Hooray! But, I was paranoid enough to wait until night. So glad I did. Hell, I even tried to approach Sandy the same way I did the others and he thought I was Scum "pressuring" him to claim. I was relieved when we finally started working together. He doesn't like not knowing things so it's usually a struggle to share information at first. But I'm glad he made it into the Order of the Penis and helped the Town to victory. And protected Schnookums too!! So, that's how I saw it. I would love to hear from others what made them trust me. That way I can play Scum better in the future. -
And Ricey is coordinating all of the prizes. Thanks for your help, guys. You're awesome.

Hinckley replied to Pandora's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
One thing I knew for sure is I couldn't assume anything. Since I didn't know what the hell the bwankie did and it seemed to do something new every time I used it (and yes, we knew it was best for protecting Virgins) I figured there might be a way to get past it. So passing on the info was important. I had tried way too hard to get the Scum to target me, going as far as to practically dare them in thread. Good thing we were prepared for every possibility. My first PM back to Pandufus after I died was "What the megabluck is the point of that blanket???" Me dying made for a cool story though. It made it interesting to watch. I guess one parting shot I could give to the bwankie concept would be the way the mirror interlude clued the Scum in to the fact that they could kill me. Thanks. I appreciate that we all came back to life at the end! And I love how they protected Schnookums after I died. That was really cool. -

Yes! It would remove the confusion from the Town. The Town doesn't need any confusion. If that had been the result of a framer, the only way the Town would know would be to kill me. That's a fast way to get the needed answers and then they would know for certain framing was a possibility for all the remaining days. -

I keep forgetting to mention this. Another great thing about the hosting is that you guys took into consideration the way I was writing my Night Actions. I wrote elaborate tales of what I would like to do at night, besides using the blanket, and that's where most of my character's weird nocturnal adventures in the day openings cam from. In some places, they wrote exactly what I had told them I wanted to say. Sorry to take away authorship of "Dumby dumb dumb megablock dumb-butts," but I think it's even more awesome that you incorporated me as a player so much into your presentation of the game. :wub_drool: Yes, I was accused of this and by someone I hadn't confirmed yet. Well, I didn't feel they were confirmed. I was a bit annoyed to be accused of playing people's games for them, because I was trying to help coordinate the Campies, so I didn't understand. Believe it or not, though, I am extremely worried about how I affect people and I had felt up to that point I had done a good job at involving everyone I was coordinating. Yes, I had a plan every night that I felt would maximize the Town's actions to get as much information as possible. But, I rarely asked people just to target who I wanted. I would either start by asking what they were thinking or tell them what I thought and why and then see if they agreed. The most important thing I can do is keep everyone involved. If I am leading or coordinating, I don't want to hog the game from other players. This feeling that someone thought I was actually made me open up a little more to Fugazi. I didn't want him to feel like he couldn't play the game too. I even asked him if the game was still fun without knowing all the Town's info. This was when I was still confident he was on our side. (Which was after the first failed investigation, that's how proactive Town Fugazi seemed. He really did an amazing job playing Scum) Foog actually told me to keep it to myself because it's better to keep all the identities safe. Stupid Foog, playing the game so well as to totally trick me. But, that's what Foog did all along. Proactive, proactive, proactive. He was putting up a great Town game as a front for his shady megablock cultist activities. My point is, keeping everyone involved and having fun and contributing is my goal when I'm in that position. Getting a group to form a team is a fun task, and I love that aspect of Mafia games. I hope to work as less of a mouthpiece at some point, but I'm always there to think and strategize. I hope anyone would do with what the player who thought I was playing their game in this game did and come and tell me. If I'm not involving people to the point where it's not fun, I want to know. I will change what I'm doing. You were just so smart and active, I couldn't pawn you off with anything. I say after claiming to want everyone involved. But, you needed clarification on everything I told you and I'd have to tell you I was leaving stuff out on purpose and you would come back with "But I lead two lynches against Scum!" You were just so aggressive and enthusiastic, which I consider both great qualities in a Mafia player. Like I said, you got a little demanding sometimes with being kept in the loop, which is also fine since sometimes I'm writing so much I forget to update some people. -
The Curse of IMHOTEP - Conclusion
Hinckley replied to Pandora's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
How fancy! Still the stupidest part of Pie's claim. megablock Cultists. No. Not even close to being possible. Of all the people who could've targeted def for whatever reason, we never would've logically considered it was Foog. Especially since Foog was being so helpful. Thanks, Foog! You were an asset to the Campies. Pfffft. Not even close to the truth! Will they realise[sic] that? The Town in the amazing hands of Cornelius Murdock and the Order of the Penis?? As a wise man once said, "Bwaha!" I can't remember if I said this yet or not, but Wuntin was an integral part of the Campie coordination from the beginning. As a potential target of the weird first day vote-stravaganza, he claimed to me on Day One and provided excellent analysis behind the scenes and put the nail in Brickdoctor's coffin by analyzing the days and seeing what the rest of us hadn't. You mad-libbed all the action verbs! I had to make sure your spot in the list wasn't Scooby Doo. Watching Zepher get killed, I was biting my nails. I feel totally responsible. This is what I had said about Zepher in the info I sent to Cecilie: I threw in the whole message for good measure. Yes, now I remember. I hadn't heard back from Wuntin yet. Don't know why I needed confirmation from each player. Just being OCD. The next message was asking you to cut off the deadline. I had heard back from Wuntin and was hoping the deadline was now set in stone and I could start coordinating with people I wanted to trust. Hell, it probably saved me from spilling the whole list to Fugazi. I do realize, in retrospect, that telling Foog that Scooby Doo doesn't really protect Scooby Doo's identity. Ugh. So, I spilled more than I thought. I would've lynched him too. Didn't know he was innocent... Afterlife sees 20/20. I was biting my nails but glad you did it. It was the fastest way to get as many people verified as possible. I was so happy to see all of our work paying off! It just goes to show how the Town had worked together. Even as we lost people, the Town was still strong and proactive. Good job Cornelius, Cecilie and the whole Camp, but especially the Order of the Penis. How funny. Stupid Foog, being on the wrong side. Only because we're used to nice hosts that give solid info as results. I love the bwankie, just can't help myself. Love you too. But then you have people just trying to survive for themselves instead of playing the game. And those people are rewarded while the people working hard are killed off. It's a team game, so why reward individual survival? This way promotes teamwork more and gets people more active. Survival isn't so hard if you're just not a threat. It was very much a mason action which made things difficult for the Scum. When the Town had to piece together what I knew, it was easy to confirm some of the Virgins who had all confirmed each other down the Cherrinator chain. You got yourself kicked off the team by biting the hand that fed you too often. I talked to them a lot about that after the game. I originally made that rule and negated it in Baritones 3 by posting the role PM structure in the confirmation thread. I read on Mafiawiki, that's the host's responsibility. I don't know what Pandufus thought about it at the time, but I discussed it at length with them by PM.... I thought it could be a bit skewed towards the Town. Especially with the Virgin Mason. Ultimately, you were screwed because you were stacked up against the best Townie team ever! Correct. That would've been fun! Again, I'm sorry. I knew that if you were Scum (which I did know because you were lying about your Flitwick "result") you were reading Day threads on purpose. I actually thought that while stalking you. It was either you were deeply analyzing the threads or that's what you knew I'd be looking for. I'm creepy. Sorry. And every Scum that went down tried to finger Goodenharde. Why?? You guys just kept confirming we could trust him. No reverse psychology there. Oops. Let's look forward to the next one then. I really don't think we divided the Town. Besides Zepher, I think everyone trusted you and when you died they brought the info you had pooled to me and it created a super solid info block to work on. And you and I had started to bridge the gap by PM. I think it would've gone well had the megablock Cultists not killed you so early. I was looking forward to teaming up to, but had to be sure first. The last thing I'd want is to be played by you. I prefer being played by The Foog apparently. But, Fugazi's game is a good example of why your Town strategy can seem Scummy too. Your Town mode would make a good Scum mode. Foog pulled it off very well, with only the absence of a strong thread presence making the difference. But he was very Pro-Town and really analyzed the game mechanics and our expectations. I told you this by PM, but I think you should be really happy with your performance in this game. Best redemption ever! No more guts talk for you. Well, actually, you'll never live that down, but now we mean it lovingly. I fully admit your Bomb claim was made more believable by the fact that I didn't give you credit to be able to pull it off. Sorry. I even said to Cornelius at one point. We have to be careful, I don't want to lose to Tammo. I only, finally, became suspicious of you right before I died. I was thinking after being a bright beacon of Town pro-activity, how would I ever play Scum again? So, I started thinking of the people I trusted most and you were in that list. So, I thought, that would be a good Scum claim. The bomb, trying to get himself killed. And then I thought that would be a good Scum claim. That was right after I started the Order of the Penis and I said to you, "I just got paranoid about you. You could easily be making this up." After dying and learning you were Scum, I hoped the little seed of doubt I had planted would grow. I'm glad they got you, but you were the last suspect. Way to go. Your improvement was as fun to watch as it was impressive. What changed, do you think? Was it having a team to coordinate with? You mentioned you made some slip-ups by PM during the "ruse" we orchestrated, which was actually a ruse you were orchestrating, but I never noticed. I felt you weren't really following the script and it took you hours to come up with your part of the reactions. Cornelius kept saying it was taking you too long and you were obviously Scum. He was so excited we had caught you and I couldn't do anything to stop him. What a weird thing to think about in retrospect. Half the Town wanted you dead and should've and then I assured everyone you were on the level. Good job. Great job. Awesome job. I'm excited to play with you - and your guts - again in the future. To be honest, I was glad to see you stand up for yourself and then apologize after. I thought that was classy. Hinck's shoes-Schmink's shoes, you did awesome! It was a great Town to work with and everyone was proactive. You and Cecilie (and Sandy and Kiel) did such a great job at keeping the momentum going. It was yours in the first place. I was so happy watching you play from the sidelines. It was your strongest game yet. You really did everything you needed to do and picked up the pieces of the weird void of info I had left you in. Sorry that nobody got the whole list, but this is the guy who used the grenade despite not having a kaboominator and picked the med in Bloodbrick II that knew the Scum would take you out for having and this time you put yourself in the risky position again. And not only did you win it, you survived! Awesome job. Sorry we couldn't play together to the end, but I had so much fun with you! Foog is fun too, but he's fun with lying, which while it's still fun, isn't as fun. I hope we can team up again and be goofy in a future game. You're an awesome ally and a great leader too. You were really fun to play with too. I would get messages and think "This guy is fun and smart." And when we had to suspect each other, it was oddly quick. "You're Scum." "No, you're Scum." "No, I'm not." "You're not? Neither am I." "Ok, what's next then?" Really it was the description of being blocked that got you right off the hook but you were another excellent ally to have. And Cecilie! What fun! You're such a promising newcomer. You were so cautious. I think the way our coordination grew was awesome. You were so careful at first and then when you just burst out all of your info after the phoney claim I just though, "She's so awesome at this." How did she get so good with this just being her first full game? After that I was having as much fun with you as I was Foog and CM. How did I hide you from Foog? I can't even fully take credit for it because it was halfway just the slipup I made with fhomess, but I'm glad I left you off the list of potential investigators I shared with Foog and Cornelius. We had some nice talks to, so it's good to meet a new teammate and a new friend. Other fun noobs include Scubacarrot and fhomess. Hi noobs! Fhomess, you were instrumental in piecing back together what def knew and getting the Town block to trust Flitwick. Your interactions in private were very smart and very well done. Great tactics and strategies. Scuba, stop pestering me! You were very aggressive and that's really important. I hope you always play like that as a Vanilla. That's what EB Mafia games need. Imagine people playing that hard when Vanilla deaths are just vanilla deaths! Great job, noobs. Great job, everybody. Fangy, thanks for being my buddy again during this one! Zeph, we've talked at length. You know I love you. I think I've commented on everybody. Kiel, sorry I suspected you so much and we never really got to play together in this one. I'm glad you were on the Town's side. If I missed anyone, I'm sorry. It was such a fun game and everyone I interacted with made it a memorable and awesome game. megablock Cultists, you rock too! -

I've been following this on my phone since I'm traveling so I was saving Rufus's analysis for when I get home. I did read the first half. But, am I picking up that the cloak redirected to the first person quoted in thread? I never would've figured that out. Ever. Thank you for accepting the criticism. I hope it's constructive. For what it's worth I love the bwankie. It's an epic role and a very memorable experience. I appreciate the solid creative plan behind it. I don't care for it to detract from your excellent game, so I give the bwankie an official Tammo, I asked Sandy and Flitwick to target you to test them and help solidify the claim before Night Actions were due. Pandora, I'm mixing up nights. I did request "help" that night. Therefore, you're awesome. Well, you're awesome anyway. -

I communicated my request horribly then. I was asking if the deadline was up so I could start giving info to people and they could help me strategize. I didn't want to start planning in case I was talking to Scum because that would give them the opportunity to change their night actions. All I was doing was verifying the deadline was up. I needed to pass info on but didn't want to before night actions were setin stone. I was annoyed the deadline was extended. And it made me more suspicious of Foog because he couldn't remember who he was supposed to protect. He said something about Rufus accepting the action late and it made me think he needed the requested extension to coordinate the scum and that's why he got his supposed target wrong. Turns out it was a real life family obligation but it cranked up my suspicions nonetheless. -

I never trusted him. Well, not fully. OK, he's a lot of fun to talk to and you were gone! I made sure he was verified and that eventually lead to us avenging your death. Doesn't that make you happy? New rule in games I host: Rick is bulletproof on Night One. How dare you people ... and I ... keep killing him on Night One??? -

Hinckley replied to Pandora's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Yes, all apologies there. I'm by no means suggesting that they are dumb. There were just three easy lynches in a row because of slip-ups on their part. It set the stage for Foog and Tammo to slip through a little better since their stories were solid. Yes, the Scum team was a formidable foe in this game. I think the concept, while it made for a great game and got the Town involved, almost stacked the odds heavily against the Scum because everyone was involved. And not revealing the structure of our role PMs was detrimental because I was able to verify people with the "Easter Eggs." I read something about that on Mafiawiki that it's the host's responsibility to make sure that isn't possible since the Town will use any tool at their disposal. Which we did. Sorry about that. But I realize why Pandufus held back on revealing the role PMs, to keep the game concept secret until we figured it out. That was cool but it made it easy for me to confirm a few people right away on Day One. Spastically moving votes from one person to another makes me seem trustworthy somehow. That was a mess. Sorry Ricecracker! -

It's called a "Meat Shield" and Shadows perfected it all the way back in Mystery Castle. Some of the Scum in that game gave up. That was early in the EB Mafia history. Scuba, you were a bit pushy behind the scenes and that probably lead to your lower involvement. I would give you half info, just in case you were lying, and you would push for clarification and were a bit demanding about it sometimes. Eskallon was the same way. He practically demanded to have future knowledge of the Cherrinator since it was originally his role. Being trusted and verified doesn't automatically make you easy to work with. But you are an aggressive and proactive player and you proved yourself an asset. I would just be careful not to be too pushy because it can seem Scummy or unhelpful. You were great to have around though when I needed an extra opinion on something and you did a lot of good clarification and research on the people we were trying to lynch. You really put your best foot forward which isn't always how a vanilla townie plays the game. Leading two lynched was a great move, especially considering you were mostly working on your own. Great game. -
The Curse of IMHOTEP - Conclusion
Hinckley replied to Pandora's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
No, we all would've lynched Bob. Someone on the dead writeboard commented that the Scum wouldn't be so stupid as to not be aware of the role PMs which were posted publicly on the second day, but you don't think of that when you're in the game. And after the 3 stooges lynches, we weren't expecting smart Scum! Bob simply did everything wrong. I was shocked when I saw him post the fake PM and try to insinuate they had never had a conversation in private. I was totally confounded when I saw your defense. Foog - I'm not sure what made me so paranoid about being killed, even with the mirrored blanket, but I had a strong feeling I wouldn't make it through the night. The interlude about the mirror made me nervous, but I couldn't really get any info from what Is was saying so I just pushed it out of my head. No time to try to decipher it, just make sure everything's taken care of if I die. So, the herbalist was the high priest on Night 3? That would've sucked to die on night 3. I wouldn't have passed my info on and I wouldn't have started piecing the rest of the roles together. That would've been a huge and frustrating letdown. And yes, it was a real slip-up when I told you fhomess was a Virgin. My only hope was to paint it red so it made you suspicious on the "off-chance" you were Scum. For those of you who weren't in our PM thread, I had made a slip-up in a group PM, sending a message that was supposed to only be for Cornelius. We were suspicious of Kiel, so I did a fake slip-up where I claimed to be a Virgin to see if we can get the Scummy Kiel to target me. So, by the time I really did slip something accidentally to Foog, he thought it was another fake claim. It took me a while to realize why he thought it was so obvious that fhomess was the investigator. And my paranoia serves me so well sometimes. I had three suspects for the investigator: TinyPies, fhomess and Cecilie, but left Cecilie off of the list for some reason when talking to Foog and Cornelius about it. I'm also glad to know that you guys were as frustrated with the High Priest as I was with the bwankie. Interesting but annoying as hell and it was more of an annoying complication in the long run. ... despite being an awesome game overall! As far as the metagaming goes for me stalking people, it served me really well with TPRU. I was so confused why his name was in italics forever, yet he wouldn't post. I even posted about it in-thread. "How long is Betty Swallocks going to try to say something?" While I was waiting for him to reply to my questions about his role, I watched how long it took him to reply and what else he did while I was waiting. I'm crazy! TinyPies, it really was fun to match up again. You had Eskallon going, so . He even PMed a "Revenge of the Sith" trailer to Sandy and told her I was Anakin, so consider your defense a success! I really didn't even think of it as a re-match until after you were lynched. I felt nostalgic about Roman Mafia and then confounded why such a seasoned player would make such a risky move. But it made me relax my guard on Foog for a little while. We thought the Scum was desperate to get into the inner circle and made a crazy risk. If Foog was Scum, why would they try so hard to get into the trusted circle? But, that didn't stop me from investigating Foog anyway. I so loved WaterbrickDown in this game, too. He spent 7 hours analyzing everyone's game play. Foog thought your final suspicions were right. But, the research was so helpful and it gave me something to bounce off of my allies. The thorough analysis of a posthumous verified player is a valuable tool. I did notice you were contacting everyone I was verifying for you and I was against that in case you slipped or the verifications weren't what we thought, but I didn't want to be a tyrant leader and tell people how to play. It made me nervous and a little suspicious, but being suspicious of you wasn't helpful. I was annoyed when they took you out because you were on my list of backups. -

Hinckley replied to Pandora's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Definitely a pleasure but you are an megablocks-face! You pestered and pestered me to reveal the list and trust you. Then when I go through the people with aliases you read it, and then never respond. And I took a long time spelling everything out and asking specific questions or at least giving you something to work off of. You didn't have names, but you knew what made me trust people and what seemed suspicious. And then you just stop communicating altogether. It seemed like you tried your best to get into the "inner circle" and when it didn't work, went back to scumming it up with your buddies. I was so annoyed. Yes, and you were right about Magilla but who would listen to the scummy blocker? And Foog was a master! Foog - textbook excellence in Scum tactics! He never utilized what he learned except for NA planning. The weak doctor claim itched the back of my brain. Foog is a good friend, funny and helpful. But, I knew the claim wasn't verifiable by tracking and seeing his protection targets survive alone. Foog also came to me and asked me to take the tracker off of def and put it on him. That made me suspicious too. It was a really good ploy, but I thought it would be a smart Scum play. Def was killed that night and I even went to Foog clarifying what he thought the tracker did. Outside of that, I trusted him completely. I knew he knew too much to not have him verified so that was priority one. I never gave him real names unless they needed protection and yes I gave some false info, and let some real names slip. I remember him guessing fhomess was the investigator and I love that he really thought that! But, if I'd have been left in the game, I would've gone right after Foog for not being able to be investigated. But, I probably would've done just what the OOP (thanks for keeping that alive guys! Harriet Slutter and the Order of the Penis! ) did after I died. Kill the Scummy liar Bob who will always be a Cultist no matter what the hosts say and then try to take Foog out at night. When I heard you tried to have him blocked and killed, I wanted to stand up and applaud, but I was at work. When I saw Zepher die, I was like Whoops! And then, so happy to see the final Tammo accusation! A reformed Scum? A reverse conversion? Who would fall for that unless it's me in Werewolf? Anyway, Foog was so trustworthy but I honored my own "advice to Town" after Werewolf. Mostly... I got sloppy there for a bit. I should never have coordinated Night Actions with him. I'm not sure what I was thinking. The first night I think I had that awful cold and then after that it was habit. Foog was smart enough to tell us he was unsuccessful the night that Cecilie couldn't investigate him and Wuntin couldn't kill TPRU which lead us to the confusion of the "multi-block" theory. Kiel had been blocked the first two nights and then the first night he was unblocked was the "multi-block" night. So we double verified Kiel. My point is, Foog silently worked his way into the trusted circle. I'm paranoid enough to keep thinking that just because we saw him tracking Cornelius the night he said he protected him didn't mean he was cleared. I just wish I would've been more paranoid! But with the three stooges of Cultists bumbling over one another to turn themselves in (no offense Pie, Pies and Brickdoctor) who would've thought there was an expert (or two! More on the redemption of Tammo later) in the Scum mix?? Cornelius, wasn't Foog the megablocks who proposed the "Where are the vets in the Scum line-up?" question. megablocks Foog. You owe Cornelius Murdock a Coke! Foog, yours was one of the smoother Scum games I've seen here. Draggy did good during Bloodbrick but he rode on two night action results that seemed to verify him. So he had more leeway. You really played it well. Foog apologized by PM for killing me and I'm not upset by that at all. It was great to match wits against you Foog. That's how the game goes and I'm glad we played this together. Even on opposite sides, I had such a great time because you were so dedicated. And you're fun to play with. I'm glad our fun PMs with Cornelius didn't totally kill the Campies the way they did in Bloodbrick. You were lying, but you were still friendly and fun and that's what's great about these games: interacting. No, you're not stupid but you over-think things and you wanted to be the hero for participating so hard. That lead you to make up crazy theories and accusations based on nothing but your brain working overtime. Simplify. Occam's Razor. Learn when to shut up, no offense. You were out of the know after I died, because in my death knell my final words were "Eskallon's not Scum but don't tell him anything anymore. He's so volatile with his over-theorizing, he's bound to spill everything to a Scumbag." Naturally, I had already spilled too much to Foog, but that's still they reason why you ended up shut out. Sorry. I hope you take this as constructive criticism and not an attack. I'm glad you take these games so seriously. All of your hard work in the first two days came back through and was really helpful when the Townies started bridging the gaps and banding together. It made things a lot clearer to be able to piece things together through what we knew you did and who you had talked to. Nice job, def. For only living two days you made a big impact on the game and the outcome. -
The Curse of IMHOTEP - Conclusion

Way to go Campies! This reminds me of Werewolf the way the Town banded together and everyone worked for the win, but even moreso. I do mean everybody. Even Wuntin, who everyone made fun of for not posting, was an invaluable tactician behind the scenes. I'm so happy I trusted Cornelius and Cecilie with the real names and roles before I was killed. I literally sent the info to Cecilie minutes before the day was supposed to be posted (it was a couple hours late that day) and all I sent her was the stuff Cornelius didn't already know. I left the Virgins out, which was dumb, since if one of you was Scum you would know all of the Virgins by process of elimination! But, Foog had gotten so much info from me already, but more on him later. Cecilie, this was my first game playing with you and you've proven yourself one of the stronger players. You were my favorite person ever when you exposed TinyPies. Mwahahahahahaha! You set up a TPRU - Hinck rematch! You were easy to trust and your info about your conversations with def honored his strategy and helped to confirm fhomess and Flitwick. That was essential in moving forward and you put so many missing pieces together. Cornelius, we finally worked on the same side and we're an awesome team. No more emotions in the future when we think a friend is Scum! The group PM should've ended the minute I got suspicious with Foog's first failed result. And no, I didn't fully trust you until after I was dead, and Sandy sent a PM before he realized I was dead telling me he verified you over and over and over. I felt good that my instincts had gone with you and not Foog. And thank you for honoring my suspicious gameplay after I died and shutting out Foog and Tammo! When I heard that was happening I was so excited! I've been dying to talk to you since I was killed just to comment on the game. I missed going through the experience with you. We had so much fun this time! You did such an amazing job leading the Town. Way to survive and kick some megablocks! Pandufus, amazing hosting job! The concept was brilliant. It's an excellent way to involve the vanillas and it truly succeeded. Your concept was clever and very well presented and I love your sense of humor! This is the most exciting game I've played here I believe. The concept was really exciting for the entire Town, trying to figure out who to protect, who to believe, who to focus night actions on. It was a nightmare of where to send the reverse psychology and where reverse psychology could be used on me. I took this game so seriously and I wouldn't have been able to if it weren't for the strong concept and hosting production values that went into it. You two are true experts and how amazing that you pulled it all off doing your first game. Here comes the criticism and you both know what's coming, so I apologize in advance for re-hashing it all and not letting go of my bwankie: Yes, the bwankie, I love it and hate it. Cornelius, this is a huge thing I would've loved to explain to you after I died so you could share in my indignation. Wait until you hear some of it. Really, it's not that bad of a criticism, but as I've said in private, I think it's overly-creative and over-thought. It was needlessly complicated for a game concept that is simple enough to create it's own complexities. Mafia is a great concept and doesn't need to be fancified. There are a lot of ready-to-use games on Mafiawiki and most of them are twice as simple as our most simple games here. That's my advice to hosts: twists are good, but don't over-complicate things. The bwankie is overcomplicated and I do call it megablocks that I was never told how it worked. Here's my role PM, just to show everybody what I had to work with from the beginning: What the megabluck? Naturally, I asked questions and I was told that my role was worded in a way where I'd be able to figure it out. Eventually, I realized I was a nexus. I had a few roles in mind, but didn't give it much research because I was way too busy trying to keep up with coordinating claims and info behind the scenes. That's the busy part for a town. The Town should be able to focus on the mystery of who is the informed minority, not "what the hell does my night action do?" That would've added a ton of work on my part and I was already spending too much time on the game as it is. So, it would've taken anybody a lot of time to figure it out, so I'm not saying just me. And this role, since it seemed invincible, would've been a good Town leader no matter who had it, so whoever had it would've been likely to already be very busy helping the Town. Fast forward and it turns out, like I said, I'm a nexus. The blanket, however, also blocks. So, it makes me look like Scum and blocks the Townie watcher I put it on. Poor WBD never got to use his night action. I wanted an invincible watcher for a couple nights, but he was completely blocked. Whatever. I was told I could've foretold that since I was told I slept peacefully when I used it. I'm not trying to interpret the NA results I get. I like it when the host's results are clear and mean what they mean. It was easy to figure out that it reflected the Scum and that they did something to def on the first night, but now I'm told I could've controlled who the actions were reflected to? What they hell did you mean by that? How? And what were the clues that that was possible? Mystery night actions: How would I ever figure any of that out? How would anybody? And you've said the blocking action was added to help balance it. Well, do you know how Scummy "Goofy" looks when he seems to frame people and block them? So many people PMed me telling me one of the protectors was Scum, which they were right, but most people assumed Goofy was full of shit. We were afraid to use it since we didn't know what the megabluck it would even do. Ugh, it's a mess. Beautiful game still, nothing's perfect. I have a lot to say about this because it was my role, but I would leave this sort of complication out of future games. I would love to hear the full explanation on my role and how I was expected to figure out the specifics. Outside of being a way to protect, I found the extra crap it was doing annoying and took away from our plans to get concrete results. Having something cooky like that on our side should've lead us to figure out why Foog couldn't be investigated but I'm not sure they ever really figured out that's why Foog couldn't be blocked, investigated or killed. I'm really busy right now and I have a lot more to say, but I should be getting back to my family. I could write about this game for hours. It was really lovely. Just amazing! -

That's not me. It's just a pile of shit... Um, did I just set myself up or what? Anyway, it's part of the ongoing plot. They're using the blanket to cover the camel poo now. Unfortunately, they didn't think to use it on themselves at night, but apparently that pile of camel poo needed a solution... -

Thank you both for doing this. For anyone else wondering why I'm oddly making this about me, just trust me that it's nice to see the best in people right now. This gaming community and LEGO community mean a lot to me and it's nice to see the people involved working on making it better. -
You're welcome, but don't call me Kiel.

I appreciate you looking inward, but the problem is far from individual. We're all responsible. I assume people look at the way def and I went at each other at the beginning of the game and think that tough talk and pushing people is the way the vets play. It's not the case. I apologize for going too far and setting a bad example. Overall, people have their tactics, but I agree mostly with Rick's feelings that insults could be removed from a player's strategy altogether and not be missed.
