  1. *It is separate. The challenge winners are still responsible for deciding on three people to receive clues.* * Are you megablocking kidding me??* *This is a great question. Please hold for a thorough analysis.*
  2. *You don't have the ability to do a particular internet search??* "What's up everyone?" The old man asks as he appears again. "Hey!" Somebody complains, "That's the same picture that was used twice in the intro. What cheap production values?" "Are we ever going to get out of this room?" Another asks. "No!" The old man says, polite yet agitated, "As explained earlier, this was the final unexplored room of the temple. You are trapped here. The demon among you is delivering your souls to Vacuus. This is your final stand. Vacuus will rise from this pool before very long, oh say...three chapters from now. When he arrives, you will engage in a battle for your very souls. It's very important you know who to trust by the time he rises from the depths." "Um...what?" Someone replies. "You must know who to trust!" The old man repeats. "Everyone as a group must nominate three people to receive a clue. Please use this format: vote: character (username) Only votes in this format will be accepted. The three people with the most votes will be given a clue, so only nominate someone if you trust them." "I haven't really talked to anybody." Says a tour member, "I haven't really gotten into this one. Not much is happening..." "It's clear you are not talking to each other," The old man says sadly, "Nobody has even mentioned that this is the first chapter that didn't begin with a fresh pool of blood on the floor..." "Oh...right..." Some are heard to say.
  3. Thanks for making the adjustment, badboy. And thank you as well to Flipz and K-Nut for offering to step in!
  4. *The voice thinks Samantha should blow her wishes out her cooter.*
  5. The challenge is now over. The winners will be announced shortly. Donna Falcon (Dannylonglegs), Samantha Cole (Rufus) and Diana Mantino (Fugazi) should now discuss which three tour members should receive clues today. Discussion should take place in this thread only. There were not 11 participants in today's challenge. There were 8, only 6 of which completed the challenge. So, you will not be receiving a clue for everyone. However, the crazy old monk should be by in about 8 hours to issue another challenge to you...
  6. *It's timed from the time you start not the time the challenge starts. Wimp. The old man is also clearly trying to say that everyone should be participating. Wasn't there something about if 11 people participated, there would be a clue given to all? Didn't the old man say that at the end of Chapter Four? :hmpf: *
  7. You've made that more than clear, in character. How many times do you have to remind people? This could be seen as playing the game in the discussion thread. Being away from your computer doesn't need to be constantly explained. It's the internet. People aren't online all the time. Connections aren't always available. People understand. Stop making excuses for it. It's annoying, even for a mere spectator.
  8. *Many of the remaining tour members climb into the boat and paddle around for a while. They come up with the idea to check the columns and find that each one contains a secret compartment containig LEGO bricks.* Chapter 5 Challenge You have 24 hours to complete this challenge. To participate you must post "Challenge: begin" in this thread when you start trying to build (or figure out) the creation. Do not post "Challenge: complete" when you are finished. Do not post in this thread for 15 minutes following your "Challenge: begin" post. If you do, your entry will be disqualified. PM the picture to me, do not post it in this thread. If it is incorrect, you won't know until I can respond, so make sure you get your complete time recorded by PM. Whoever has the fastest time will be declared the winner. You are on the honor code. This method is to be fair to all time zones so do not cheat!
  9. * The boat easily holds Ingrid's weight. As she searches the votes, she finds some oars. Those are probably good for rowing the boat! *
  10. Everyone is standing around staring when the old monk appears again. "Why do you keep bugging us?" Somebody asks. "You are in grave danger," the old monk tells them, "You must work together to piece the clues together and save your souls before the demon rises again!" "Look, a boat!" Someone shouts. "Try to focus, please." The monk asks politely, yet slightly annoyed. "We need clues!" Someone cries, "How are we supposed to solve this without clues?" "You're getting clues!" The monk answers, "Have you tried to piece them together?" "Well, I'm not getting clues," Another person says, "But I'm sure the people who are, are working diligently on the mystery." "Are you sure?" The monk asks. "Yes I'm sure," is the answer, "I just said I was sure. Why would you ask if I'm sure after I just said I'm sure? Weirdo." "What's my objective?" Someone asks. "To find out who killed the other members of the tour!" The monk says. "How are we supposed to reach our objective by building LEGO sets?" Somebody asks. "It's the clues! You need the clues!" The monk answers, exasperated. "But the challenges are hard!" Someone says. "I don't have any bricks." Says another. "Bricks?" The old monk asks. "Yeah, bricks." Someone tells him, "How are we supposed to build something without bricks?" "Build something?" The old monk looks confused. "Is there a megablocking echo in here?" Someone rolls their eyes at the old decrepit crazy man. "How are we supposed to reach our objective?" Someone asks. "Perhaps that's part of the mystery." The monk tells them. "I can guarantee you there is no lack of clues to help you reach the objective. Start working on it." "Work?" Someone asks, "But we signed up to play a game. We don't want to work! Won't somebody else do the work and I can just drop in every once in a while and look at a clue and vote or something?" "In Bob's games, there are murders and stuff. Things actually happen." Someone complains. The monk just stares at them as he fades away once again... I wish there was more room. Please sign up again for future games! * Rules for Game play No anagrams. Each chapter you will be faced with a LEGO building challenge. The first part will be a group effort to find a certain amount of LEGO pieces. The second part will be an individual effort to figure out what model the pieces create. The winner of the individual effort will be judged by how much time is taken to solve the puzzle. When you begin to solve the puzzle post "Puzzle start" in the thread. When you solve it, post "puzzle solved" and PM me a picture of the finished product. The winner of the challenge will select three people. The three people selected will nominate two people to receive clues about the identity of who killed the other members of the tour group (the deaths from Red Moon 1). You must search for clues. This means that an action must be specified. For example, you wish to search a room for hidden objects. The following is an example of how not to go about this: "I wish to look for suspicious or hidden objects in this room". Instead, you must be able to specify what you want to do. For example: "I would like to open the drawers of the cabinet." It is not required for you to specify exactly what you are doing and what you are looking for, but a generalised statement will not find you anything. Act like a detective and you will be fine. Dynamic Actions: Actions you wish to carry out without all of the other players' knowledge can be PMed to the game host, Hinckley. You may or may not be allowed to do what you request. Please use only your role PM to communicate with the host. (This wasn't in here before, Dannylonglegs, sorry. ) Host response time: Please be patient. You may bring the story to a point where you need the host to further game play. I will be on top of this game as much as possible. Please be patient with me between chapters as well. Stagnant game: If you find yourself stuck in the group challenge portion, it is because you need to find a clue or you've missed something. Don’t argue with the game host. You’ll be there until everything that needs to be discovered has been discovered. Each game day will last 72 hours with three portions, each lasting 24 hours. The team challenge will last 24 hours. The individual portion will last 24 hours. And the nomination process will last 24 hours. If the group fails to find all of the pieces in the first 24 hours, then the chapter will end with no further clues given. You cannot edit your posts. Failure to follow these rules will result in a warning. A second failure will result in the humorous death of your character.
  11. Read here and here.
  12. Taz, I haven't had time to fully compliment this amazing creation, so I thought I'd at least drop in and tell you that every time I scroll past it on the frontpage I want ask it to marry me.
  13. No more "sorries" please. Figure out how to fix it. What kind of computer are you on? What programs for photo editing do you have at your disposal? Any Windows operating system can rotate a photo. Every Mac comes with iPhoto. Try googling "Rotate a photo" and see what you can find. Posting sideways pictures just seems lazy to me. It would probably allow members to enjoy your creations a little more.
  14. There is a date and time stamp at the top of each post, including the first post, which will give you a good indication of the topic's age. This few-month-old topic, which you bumped must've been pretty low in the forum list. The further down you scroll in a forum topic listing, the older a thread is. Now you have two ways to find a thread's age, one definitive and one a vague indication. Good luck. I hope you can figure it out.
  15. Oh really? I thought that was just the Root group. Oh well...
  16. That's so scary that you already know that, but yes, it is the only way to catch the anonymous followers. You have to be somewhat crazy to do it...or be a Root Admin who can see the anonymous users.
  17. No. They're anonymous, so stuff it.
  18. I would not like to try that at all. If only you had something to block the light.
  19. Cool! Thanks everybody. I'll get this started back up in the next couple of days.
  20. Bad hours and few windows. If only there was a solution. You seem to have a good camera, though.
  21. This is a real nice start...from what I can see. Do you have lights in your house or do you live in a cabin in the woods?
  22. Ew, gross. They're not rouge, are they?
  23. Is everyone ready to start up again? Are you ready for the game with the worst momentum ever?
