  1. I would love more export functions to common 3D formats (.3ds, .obj, etc.). It took me almost a week of trying different CAD programs and file-type converters before I finally got myself a .3ds of the 8402 Sports Car. Minifig customization would be great, but I think a more organized way of looking through prints (and subsequently more prints) would be better at least for me. Animation or saved camera angles would also be really great to add in, as would a physics simulator, but those are seriously longshot wishes.
  2. It looks really good, but at least to me, it seems shaped more like an F40PH than anything else. I am sure you have looked at the Santa Fe Super Chief while building this, and maybe a more round design for the nose area, and of course the curved roof would help tremendously. The color scheme is perfectly executed though, and I really like the model.
  3. Hey everyone! I have been spending a bit of time on the server lately, and I really like the minecart rail system. I do think it needs a couple things added to it though, like bridges where the track leaves the ground, and stations. I have already built a suspension bridge with the help of Scouts, and I have seen the awesome arch bridge (which the track goes up and over, for some reason), and I think it would be cool if a group of people could also make bridges of various types (suspension, arch, truss, trestle, etc.) along the line. Also, the track bed is made from bedrock, which is impossible to change. Pinion, would you mind changing it to something like Obsidian, which can't be blown up, but can be edited and removed if someone wants customizations (e.g. a trestle bridge has a wooden track base)?
  4. My MC name is bsquiklehausen. I haven't played on the server yet, but I am excited to as soon as I can.
  5. With this new Marvel and DC license, perhaps we could see the monorail from Batman Begins. That would make a very good playset with a loop of track, Wayne Tower (large, but made with few pieces, like Big Ben fron the Cars theme), and a collapsing track section, along with the usual minifigs. Also, from Spiderman, LEGO could make the subway train chase with Doc Ock into a monorail set. All you'd need is one switch with an uphill section that ends, and a loop of track so one has enough time to act out the whole battle. A subway themed monorail station would be included, as well as lots of barricades for the train to plow through at the end if the tracks. The usual minifigures, and some civilians, would be included.
  6. That's because you need WinRAR or 7ZIP to open the .jar! After that it's really very simple! Most mods have very good, detailed instructions for them either on the page, or as a readme in the file.
  7. Yeah, but with that being said, nobody batted an eyelash when all of Chicago is completely annihilated, all that anyone cared about is that Shia rescued the girl. Maybe the city had been emptied for cleaning.
  8. Modding is easy! You just need to follow the "how-to install" section for each mod and follow it very carefully. Also, instead of INVedit, I highly reccommend TooManyItems, as it is very well integrated into Minecraft and super easy to use.
  9. Yep! I play! I use a private server though, and it would be cool if there was a Eurobricks server as well. I know there are website-hosted servers like Digg and Reddit, and I also know that Eurobricks has things like an LU guild, so, maybe a EB server could be established.
  10. Thank you so much! This is perfect for what I need. The movie is just going to be a test on whether I can add a 3D model to the scene using After Effects, and then blow it up. I want to have this effect so I can use it in my upcoming runaway train movie.
  11. I was wondering if anyone can make me a set. I need it for an animated movie I am making, and I can't get LDraw to work on my 64-bit computer, even with the quick installer. The set I need is the smaller Police Helicopter, set 7741. If anyone can make me the .ldr file, t would be much appreciated. Thanks!
  12. The switches on the remote should work. They will switch which way the train goes when you turn the wheel.
  13. I think the main problem here is just the lack of options to raise the harbor dock up, because baseplates do not have antistuds on the bottom. If TLG had instead used a combination of 8x16 plates and tiles, which were raised up on 1 or 2 bricks, I think this set would have been recieved with much less criticism. I agree, but the commercials and the mini-movies are completely different, and for a commercial, I would say this harbor one is among the best. I would really like to see a harbor mini-movie as well.
  14. It's very interesting that even LEGO themselves put the harbor up on such a huge dock like that. IT really makes you think why they didn't just use the (much nicer) harbor plates instead. I also really like the "Hey!" in this commercial. It's so different from any of the others, and I cracked up when I heard it. Overall, I'd say this is one of the best City commercials so far.
  15. Yep! It seems to be an extra. I had one spare in both of the sets I built.
  16. The only one of the three that I have the the Maersk, so I might be a bit biased, but I really think it is the best. It captures the shape and size of a real locomotive perfectly, and it is simply massive! I remember going to train shows, and seeing unmodified SFSCs and BNSFs, and thinkint they were small. My first reaction to the Maersk, was "Wow! This thing is huge!" The Maersk train is also the most modern design in build techniques, and in my opinion, that makes it the best.
  17. There is a TV screen in the newest Fire Station, and it is a sticker on a 2x4 tile. It is practically the same image as the sticker from the police set, earlier in the thread.
  18. you have the local TLG Brand Store's phone number saved in your phone! the local TRU employees know you by name!
  19. I have some of the same problems with my Camper. Perhaps they just made a really bad batch of bricks. I bought mine about a year and a half ago in California.
  20. Yep! You get a point. The leaderboard should look like this. If I screwed anything up, then feel free to edit this and fix it. ADHO15: 6 AndyC:1 Brickdoctor: 2 Captain Tamamono: 1 Clone O'Patra: 1 chucker: 1 Cralegoboy: 1 Jay Sathe: 1 RejectedShrimp: 4 simonjedi: 4 sok117: 3 The Legonater: 1 TinyPiesRUs: 1
  21. Okay, here's mine. It's pretty easy, and since the crummy laptop I am on can't run LDD 4 for some reason, this is made in LDD 3 and it is buyable! Good luck!
  22. AAA for me. A total savings of $63 (Rechargable box plus charger) is too good to pass up. I have a set of 6 rechargable AAAs anyways, so it really was an easy decision.
  23. Hello everybody! I've been here a while, but never really introduced myself. LEGO trains are what brought me back from my Dark Ages in 2006. I have 7897, 7898, 7997, and now, (I'm proud to say) 2 copies of 10219! So, anyway, hi!
  24. The Incredibles?
  25. I am really sorry! I live in California, and I just used Google Maps with "Buffalo, NY" as the Start, and "Elmhurst, NY" as the end. For some reason it thought there was an Elmhurst much closer. I just now put in "LEGO Store Elmhurst, NY" and it showed the 6 hours. Sorry about the mix-up, and I hope you can find the LEGO for the party!
