It's a given that there will be a second series later this year or next year, right? It always seems like TLG gives any new theme or idea at least two waves before figuring out how viable it is as a product or not.

Anyone else not entirely happy with the Betelgeuse fig? The in-game content is going to be amazing, but the figure just isn't doing it for me. Part of it might be the white skin on white clothes, but even then I don't know any decent colour substitutes for his skin. Also, the lime green hair doesn't make him look any better. Olive green or standard green would've suited him a lot more. And the faces! Where's the expression? Where's the character? I just don't see it. Hopefully the game will make the purchase worth it.

[MOC] [WIP] Back To The Future: Hill Valley 1885
Green replied to Gerechtigkeitsliga's topic in LEGO Licensed
Good luck! I love seeing BTTF creations. If I could suggest one thing it would be to get the updated Doc Brown hairpiece from the Dimensions fun pack! -
Did anybody else not get a spare printed piece with the catcycle chase?

I got mine in Australia not long ago and the piece showed up and I was pleasantly surprised. Perhaps it's a Europe/Asia region specific occurrence than a North America one? -
The "hype" did slow down tremendously in Year 1 probably at an even faster rate than Year 2, and I thought they did a really good job of bringing it back and making the "hype" even bigger in Year 2.

It's not that everyone hates the game. The majority of people love it and don't want it to end, but most of them believe Just2Good.

So, just on what we know regarding the "Connectables"... they don't come with any minifigures(?), they're not new story/level additions and they're not physical builds on the toy pad (like the Ghostbusters Chinese Restaurant). It's been hard to collect the hints from people that do know what they are and what's been confirmed and denied. Could someone fill me up on any relevant information regarding this?

Does anyone know if the Ant-Man set ever came to Australia? I never remember seeing it in my local stores, and as I'm recently going to a different part of Australia I'm very interested in finding it because I feel like I missed out on my chance to get an Ant-Man figure (and the set comes with two of them!)
-
So... to any Australians, I checked out my local stores for the Mighty Micros, and they were COMPLETELY stocked up on ALL of them except for the Hulk and the Flash ones. I'm slightly worried if those two sets have been purposely unreleased (or made limited in my case, as I live isolated) as they contain rarer and more sought-after characters. Anyone have any further insight on this, or am I just being paranoid?
-
HAL 9000? As a creature? This is really intriguing. I hope people keep posting whatever they can find.
-
Any fellow Australians know how far away we are time-wise for the new Civil War/Mighty Micros sets?
-
Can anyone post a picture of a purist Shazam with a Flash torso? I remember seeing it, but I can't find it. I just really need it to figure out whether or not I need to pick up a second Mighty Micros set.

I'm hoping I'm not the only one that wants Ra's to be exactly how he appeared in the first LEGO Batman video game They made us wait so long...it looks like with Killer Moth and now Ra's, they're finally giving the 'forgotten ones' to us. I'd be damned if Hush and Clayface don't make an appearance in the next year or so.

Ummmmm.. I understand you passion for Doctor Who, but I'm just trying to look at everything from a practical and economic perspective. There's nothing more DW can do that will fall into obscurity within the target audience for Dimensions. And let's be real here. They're not going to make anything more for Wizard of Oz. Does Dorothy have a cool action feature? Will a Cowardly Lion fun pack sell? It's easy for us older fans to want more, but to kids, they're only interested in characters that act funny or punch hard. As for Simpsons, unfortunately LEGO have seemingly killed the theme altogether. And seriously, what more could they do? Marge? Lisa? Flanders? Milhouse? It doesn't make sense. You can try and imagine as many features and vehicles for them as you want, but it's not going to happen. Radioactive Man never came out of the CMF series, and Itchy and Scratchy are too violent. Those, along with Krusty, Homer and Bart have the most marketable and most action potential along with appeal to young boys. The same goes for Jurassic World. There will be nothing until the new movie in 2018. Unless they through a curve ball and do a Jurassic Park fun pack or something. The whole point to this game is to bring in as many licenses together. I don't want to dwell on the same 14, I want to see them expand to as many as possible.

It's certainly easier to imagine more character possibilities when you're a big fan of Doctor Who. However, these characters are virtually unknown to the non-DW watching market. The great thing about characters like the Doctor, Cyberman, Dalek and K-9 is that people are familiar with them even if they haven't seen the show. I understand Doctor Who has brought a great fanbase to LEGO Dimensions, but I don't think they're enough to focus the future of the game on. We basically know Chima, BTTF, LOTR, Portal, JW, DW, Wizard of Oz, Scooby-Doo, Simpsons and Midway Arcade have done as much as they can at this point. Correct me if I'm wrong, but all the rumours have pointed to the new licenses as Harry Potter, Fantastic Beasts, Nexo Knights, 2016 Ghostbusters and Adventure Time, right?
-
Does anyone know how Aquaman interacts with his exclusive pools? Does he bring something out of it, or does it enable access to new areas? Also, do the Midway Arcade machines scattered across the levels access new areas, or just an arcade game? I just really want to see more secret Easter Egg locations. The Jetsons, Flintstones and Doctor Who areas were great.

K-9 plate from the Doctor Who level pack is there, although nothing useful I can find available from the Ideas Doctor Who set. -
Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
Green replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'm completely new to using the Bricks and Pieces service, could someone please briefly walk me through it? I'm very interested in what I'm reading here. -
Does anyone now if the new Super Heores sets are available in Australia yet?
-
I don't know how this might sound, but you could be better off getting the whole set itself. I'm guessing the price per piece count is high due to the large pieces in the Juniors sets. Even if you want the set just for Goblin, you could just sell the rest of the Juniors parts. You might even like some of the stuff the set comes with, too!

The fact that Itchy and Scratchy made it into Series 1 with two weapons (that we know are used for the purpose of killing one another) makes me believe we might be getting some characters we wouldn't expect, such as Sideshow Bob, or even Jimbo, Dolph and Kearney. As for characters we won't end up seeing, I think it's just a matter of how popular and well-known they are. I strongly believe we will see Moe in some form, simply because he's just such a well known and fan favourite character of the series. I doubt we will ever see Rodd or Todd, unless the Elementary School is made and they need to fill it with younger characters. Hank Scorpio, even though a fan favourite, was only in one episode, and we'd be more likely ending up getting Russ Cargill before him. McBain, due to his violent nature, but then again, we did get Itchy and Scratchy. Perhaps we're more likely getting Rainer Wolfcastle or President Schwarzenegger.

In a number of reviews I've seen of the 21116 Crafting Box set there seems to be a conversion list of the blocks in the Minecraft game and how they are represented officially in LEGO form, on a poster and also on the back of the set itself. Unfortunately, it has been difficult to see and I would like to use to it to get an idea on the game representation of these new sets, and to make some custom projects. If anyone has found a quality image or has taken an image from the set itself, it would be greatly appreciated. -Green
