  1. I wonder what castle themed modulars would be like? By modular I mean same sizes/proportions as the town modular buildings. I would love to see some old London or Rome buildings... thngs like inns, shops (tailors, bakeries), etc. I think that some incredible sets could come out of a line like this. The downside would be that the age-old formula, good vs bad, wouldn't really apply here.
  2. Another great MOC SlyOwl! I reallly like your cannon design, the lovely ship model on the desk and the new hook design for the bird - wildlife is always a detailed, nice point in your creations. Great work!
  3. Thanks, the link is working now. At a closer look, that rock wall really is lovely!
  4. Ah. I see. So we weren't being ripped off by Lego.
  5. Well done TLG. I am sick of oversized boxes, and all the above reasons are very legitimate. I am pleased. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but does the smaller sized box apparently cost 1 cent more than the larger box?
  6. This is really nice. I love how it's so colourful, and all the rock detailing is really good. Your link isn't working for me either, and I would love to see more pictures of this great creation. But from what I see in this picture, awesome work!
  7. Lovely work! I like the ESB - really nice architectural work there. Your little biplane is also very nice. You really are a master of the mini model!
  8. Wow! Incredible MOC! I love all the railings on the floors, and the colour scheme is great. Looks like a great holiday destination! Great work!
  9. I agree. I am no expert, and I think this looks very accurate at a careful glance. I love all the detailing, and this really is the sort of thing a Lego designer might come up with. Great MOC.
  10. Wow, this is incredible! A lovely way of showcasing your build and a brilliant, innovative technique. The minifig-illusion scale ships seem to be enjoying a golden age at the moment, with more and more beautiful and creative designs coming out. The ship is looking wonderful. Colour can be fixed later I assume, so I won't comment on that. Despite the difficulty of building on top of the hull due to it's shape, I think you've pulled it off. The first picture in your second most recent update shows that. I really cannot wait to see this finished. I have a soft spot for smaller ships, so I really like this.
  11. Lovely MOC! I really like your interior, especially the mounted musket, and the plant life outside is really nicely done. Great work, and a fitting tribute to Zorro, and the work the mods etc do and have done for Classic Pirates and Eurobricks.
  12. I like this idea. It would be great to go with a village set up, and there would be lots of useful pieces involved (hopefully food!).
  13. Nice work! I really like the simplicity of this MOC, and the white walls work well in their context. Very 'classic' building style in my opinion - and it works great. Very good work.
  14. Great (however gruesome) creation. Good find Admiral, and great work Auric on making an entertaining creation. I like the technique he has used for the tumblehome, and the expression of the onlooking captain is perfect.
  15. Basically, I don't mind what we get so long as Lego still expand upon their medieval town idea started with MMV. I think both the new Mill set and the Blacksmith's Forge are great additions, but I would love to see a manor. Designed in the same vein as MMV, a manor with a knight as master would be lovely, and would really compliment the other village sets. It could have some grounds, too, so a good designer could let loose his creativity on some great garden structures.
  16. Wow, great creation! I really like the way the MOC doesn't have a central focal point, like many, but is interesting and detailed the whole way along. I will look forward to seeing the other creations in this genre of work!
  17. I love the Lego boxes. I think they are the best packaging for this sort of product I have seen, and they look like high quality, well designed items. And then there is the sentimental value: the box is the box. It is a part of the set. However, there is the factor of room. I couldn't store all my boxes, so sadly they inevitably enter the recycling after a few days proud display. I always keep instructions so I'll always have a copy of the box art, which is important for me. Ah well, at least I still have the pieces. But I still wish I could keep my boxes.
  18. I agree . When this is finished, it will be truly impressive. I like your techniques for buildings etc thus far, and really am intrigued to see how this creation turns out. Good luck!
  19. This is a really great creation. It has a very clean, slightly surreal or too-perfectness about it, which I really like. And the staircase is great, as mentioned. Great find, and well done to the builder.
  20. Welcome to Eurobricks! And what a wonderful creation to begin with! I love all the colour, gives it a great look, and you have included tons of detail!
  21. LDD has never quite worked for me, mainly because I've never really bothered to find out how to properly use it. My collection is loosely sorted, so I just build away for the finished model, colour and all.
  22. Great MOC! Brilliant detail, dodgy characters, colour, quirks, the full package! This is one of those creations I'll keep coming back to for inspiration.
  23. Ha! Great creation. A nice bit of fun.
  24. Congrats with these MOCs! Even though you've only been here a year, you can tell how long you've been building SW creations from the brilliance of these. Your site is great too, so much inspirational material in one place!
  25. Congratulations! The builders of these wonderful ships fully deserve the recognition they have gained with this contest.
