  1. It's LEGO. Of course there's something you can do about it. Just swap the head.
  2. There absolutely needs to be a mine car chase from Temple (look at the Dwarf Mining set to see how the mine cars and parts of the caves could be done), and also a falling bridge set from Temple. If the Raiders large amazon jungle playset proves successful, I would imagine a similar style set of traps etc set in the grail temple from Last Crusade. I would also love to see the fight with the German mechanic by the flying-wing aircraft.
  3. One Suit torso, one Harry Potter head and one recoloured Indy fedora... (click for enlargement) :-P
  4. Bit sad that the prototype mine carts appear to have been replaced with wheel-less hoppers (I was gonna use them and the rails for a Temple of Doom MOC); [
  5. Hi, I made a simple yet effective mod to the door mechanism on the Hoth base set. Now both doors will slide at the same time/same rate with only one knob. .And the simple solution is the addition of two wheels and a crossed over rubber band. Now to beef the whole playset up a bit, remove firing mechanism from the turret and add decent legs to the probot... And maybe use a LEGO motor to control the door remotely....
  6. Man, these are way better than I expected. Awesome. No Toht yet, but I don't mind, I'll just have to make a custom (like in my avatar)!
  7. It's called "broadcloth". I haven't found a place near where I live that sells it, so I use wide ribbon and an anti-fray coating (applied before I cut the cloth). You might find this useful.

    Indy Lego !!

Not sure of its source, but this gives hope the whip is wire encased in plastic and fully poseable

Easy enough to MOC one up; (click for enlargement)
  11. Thanks, but no, I'm not going to paint it.
  12. Also, from just over a month ago... Source
  13. :-P Just trim off a bit of the butchered skeleton's neck and it fits like a glove...
  14. darthtangent's original: http://www.fbtbforums.net/viewtopic.php?t=18488 About the only thing needing changing (IMO) on the above are the feet. And I'm not game enough to carve up my GG head. Mine uses feet lopped off the new skeleton horse (which I'd already beheaded) and mixes the arms up. Also requires a skeleton to be sacrificed for the hip section (also the Skelly's hollow neck is used to pad out the stud on the hip.
  15. Yes, Skeleton Tower, I said that in my opening sentence. :-P
  16. Because of these fab new pieces. Skeleton Tower 7093 Blue lightning, perfect for your neighbourhood Sith Lord; (click thumbs for full size images) And a sweet new female hairpiece, which is pretty good for an Endor Leia... That hairpiece will also probably be useful for some Padme outfits.
  17. Well, I bought the horse specifically to use its head in my Tatooine scene. Would have been nice if it was removeable, of course, but I'm OK with the occasional brick mod when absolutely necessary.
  18. Yeah, I guess the spine should go the whole width of the base. I ought to try and swap my tan 4x1's with stud holes that have the 'ribs' coming out for white ones to give more o a backbone appearance too. May have some updates in the next few days...
  19. I bought the new Castle set just for the skeleton horse as I've had this scene in mind for a while, only to find it was a single molded piece. I thought at the least the legs would be poseable (and was hoping the head was articulated). So, begrudgingly I beheaded my horse. And I wonder if I can somehow use 2 of those legs for a Grievous Minifig MOC. Anyway, here's my little Jundland Wastes scene based on a couple of seconds of screentime in A New Hope when R2 & 3PO have separated ways on Tatooine and C3PO wanders past a Krayt Dragon skeleton. ( click thumbs for full size) Reference still from the movie

    Indy Lego !!

Well, the first image was CGI. But I also hope that the whip is one of those wires encased in plastic and poseable like those bend-em type toys. Not great for continual rigorous play, but great for posing and displaying.

LOL. I meant Belloq, not Sallah...

In both cases, I'd say "Truck drivers", (if there even is a 2nd vehicle in "Motorcycle Chase. It is just a $10 set after all).

The 'generic soldiers' were just background goons, really. So long as you have Toht, Sallah, Aircraft Mechanic and a truck driver or two, you've got most of the main Raiders scenes covered. Similarly for Crusade, you need Elsa and Donovan. The rest of the scenes (Zeppelin / Nazi Rally excepted) just have Nazis as background goons.

    Indy Lego !!

The "seen the new" was kinda rhetorical! And as the first 2 waves of Jones' sets are announced, obviously we won't be hearing of / seeing any new ones for quite a while. Just the fact they've made these mine cart molds bodes well though. Anyway, some interesting, and not at all unexpected news from Badger on Fineclonier.com
