  1. So, I did some work in LDD, to try to understand what Rotundus meant, and I think I have something decent. Is this what you meant? I didn't take the graduate downslope in consideration, but IRL that would be something I edit, this is just the basic idea. The big grey wall is there to hide the supports under the rockwork, and I might add some slopes to the other side of the wall as well. The pillars are kinda basic now, but also that can change. Is this what you had in mind, Rotundus? If so, I think I could make it work, if not then what do you mean?
  2. Looks good! The rockwork in the wall is very nice!
  3. Let's ask the mapmaker if he has a map of the sewers, so we don't get lost or anything.
  4. The big castle is quite nice in person actually, and I think most people like these sets because of the minifigs (I do, crownies are after vikings my favourite)
  5. O man, now I'm sad... Would have loved to get some proper yellow elves. Nice find btw
  6. Torald mumbles something about Heckz and growing a pair. Torald follows Hoke.
  7. Not sure if I understand it correctly, but if I do that would mean to take everything I have apart and rebuild it. And the front part of the big grey slab supports the cliff. But I might do it, because I am not too happy with how sturdy the highest parts of the cliffs are... And an area under the cliff might be cool, for dwarves to mine or something like that. But I'm not sure how to make everything sturdy enough and still look good from the inside... Anyway, thanks for the feedback, you just gave me a lot more to think about Edit: Can a mod please add "Pic heavy" or something like that in the title? A lot more pictures will be added in this thread.
  8. A rather big update, the cliff-wall thing is done. I also started working on the pathway to the top of the cliff, but here is where I need to start buying bricks (mostly plates). So it might be a while for the next update. Please don't mind the giant mess that is my workspace... I listened to your advice and used some slopes to make it look smoother. As you can see this is only the cliff on the first baseplate, the cliff on the second baseplate will be the next picture. Again, please ignore the mess. Here is the beginning off the path. I apologize for the dusty bricks (haven't used them in a while) And a minifig point of view, looking at the cliff. The 48x48 baseplates are going to be covered up by brown/blue plates (yes, I am planning to make a river) Hope you like this update, as I said it might be a while for the next update. As always, constructive criticism is welcome.
  9. Torald shakes Hoke's hand. You are the better drinker... Guess I need to train more in the Hall... I got close, but not close enough. And, Heckz, you too are a good drinker, thought you would go down earlier. He pauzes for a moment, still not completely recovered. What's next?
  10. Nice! Love the inclusion of Kabel's and Ecc's sigfigs Also cool design for the inner floor ground work with the mosaic. A very nice build, one of my favourite!
  11. This stuff is bad... eugh... I don't feel so good anymore... Torald keeps on mumbling about random nonsense. He drinks #4 again.
  12. Eugh... Another one! Torald drinks #4
  13. Yeah, I've gotten a lot more respect for builders who do stuff like this in every build, but a lot bigger/better. Man, it's a pain to get it right. Good point, will be updated!
  14. Just a small update this time, the cliff on the first baseplate is done. As you can see the cliff starts to drop in height. At the end of the 2nd baseplate the cliff is gone, so the minifigs can easily go to the top of the cliff. Don't mind the 2x4 on the front row connecting the baseplates, it's not permanent, just there to hold them in place for now. Stay tuned for more updates
  15. Right, let's do this! Torald grabs drink #4
  16. Thank you. Someone I agree with. Elves is nice, but is not a replacement for a proper Castle theme, even in combination with the Nexo Knights. Pink and purple pieces everywhere and I mean everywhere. Yes, the dragons could be nice, if they didn't have bow-ties in their ?hair? Dragons don't have hair... But anyway... if you like it, so be it, have fun, but don't think it is a proper Castle theme replacement. It isn't.
  17. Yeah, because me potato. Torald shakes his head. I understand, but come on, what's the worst that can happen? A little head-ache ain't gonna kill you. Besides, he is going to drink it too, so it's perfectly save.
  18. Looks awesome as always! Really like all the offset angles!
  19. Afraid you are gonna loose?
  20. Just as the title says, is TLG allowed to use parts specifically made for a Licensed theme, for a different, non-licensed theme? For instance, the Elven hair or the Dwarf beards, or the Wargs from The Hobbit used in a historic theme? I want to know, because if Lego is ever going to make another medieval theme, they could use a lot of parts from LotR or The Hobbit for it. I don't know if this question has been asked before, couldn't find it anyway. If a thread like this already exists, please excuse me.
  21. Hey man, look at him. He can't hold his liquor, you know that. I could, so what if I beat you and say he did it?
  22. Well, that's a start. But you have to say it to her, when she can hear you (obviously). So, your choice, you march over to her house and confess your love once again, or I'll drag you there.
  23. Not all of them, but yeah, some girls like a strong guy. But let's not make fun of each other any further, we are here to help this guy out with his girlfriend. I hate to say it, but I do kinda agree with Heckz, but the bribing part might be a bit too much. Pretending water to be a proper source of alcohol might be a decent solution. But where is she now? At home? If so, why not go to her, nicely cleaned up, and say to her you want to marry her. That should do the trick.
  24. Some girls like muscles more then a pretty face, Torald says with a smile, flexing his muscles. But in all seriousness, we have a job to do here. So, Simon, go ahead and tell us all about your girl.
