  1. Nice art though.
  2. Gresh was there, just not mentioned by name, and only received acknowledgement by his element of air being used at that shrine thing (thankfully). But Berix was sent away by Mata Nui because he got hit by a thornax. (Like in the comic.)
  3. That reminds me, what happens to Click when Mata Nui takes over the prototype robot? Has Greg answered that question yet? (And furthermore, has anyone even asked the question yet?) I really hope Greg doesn't do the standard "He's back with his species in the wilderness, where he belongs." shit he did with that crab . . .
  4. I really think this line would work so well if it was just vaguely connected to BIONICLE. That city? They could so easily turn it into the futuristic Metru Nui. Then I'd definitely buy them. The sets still look a lot better this way than the promo images had them looking.
  5. Wow . . . That actually made this line look pretty cool. It even had the BIONICLE narrator . . . Maybe Hero Factory won't suck like I thought it would . . .
  6. Wow, I like this serial. I also think it's the only (or maybe the second) BIONICLE work written in first-person, and it definitely benefits from that. It feels like an old timey ballad of someone's adventures.
  7. Oh, this is going to be an RPG? Then yeah, I guess I'm out too. William Blaze is back up for grabs.
  8. I think it's likely that this battle is the last battle of the Core War (Tee one where the Red tribe took the EP from the White tribe, and then the planet shattered). So that means this is the part of the planet directly where the EP started leaking out and the White tribe began guarding. So it's to be expected that the EP was gradually leaking and ripping the planet apart at this point.
  9. If others are in favor of a different story, I might have one . . . "In the far future of Spherus Magna, Matoran and Agori live in peace and work to better themselves and their civilization. The Toa of the time are not evolved Matoran, but are actually created in factories. Though only one Toa is currently protecting the most heavily populated area of Spherus Magna, he is one day killed by an unknown being. Leaving behind six ancient Toa stones, six Matoran unknowingly activate tOa Factory and somehow become Toa, like in the days of old. Using their new elemental and Kanohi powers, these completely inexperienced Toa will have to protect the Matoran and Agori of Spherus Magna, investigate the death of the previous toa, defeat the strange criminals that have begun attacking villagers, and even face the threat of a possibly revived Makuta." Yeah, it's basically Darker And Edgier 2004. But I like it . . . (And if we want more story depth, we could throw in some racism between Matoran and Agori, showing their world already tearing at the seams.)
  10. YES!!!! That cover definitely proves that the HerO Factory sets have Glatorian heads!!! HOORAY!!! (Yeah, minor thing, but I really hoped they would.)
  11. Wow, you've done a really nice job on this. I like how you took cues from the Mahri Nui-era Matoran ans was able to turn them into a more poseable and interesting figure. I especially like the poses it can get into, and the design of the arms are also very good.
  12. Mrh . . . Anyone else find these sets . . . incredibly disappointing? Just when LEGO started fixing everything that fans were complaining about with the previous BIONICLE sets, and made what may be the greatest sets ever (The Glatorian Legends), they undo it all. -All the canisters are clone sets. They even all have the same exact limbs. Which is something not even the Av-Matoran (Which for some, are the worst sets ever made) had. -They finally made a female BIONICLE set look feminine. But now, look at Natalie Breeze. 'She' has the exact same build as the others. Meaning, guess what, 'she' looks nothing like a female! -The canister sets don't even have bendable limbs. Sure, the Agori/Av-Matoran/Stars don't either, but I'd even prefer the Piraka build to these. -Most of these parts look like they're going to be really hard to MOC with. Another disappointment, since the LEGO philosophy is supposed to be customization. It doesn't look like these sets are built for anything like that. -Even the bigger sets look pretty bad. Ackar shin armor on Metru legs? Sorry LEGO, but that's a terrible and tacky-looking combination. This is really disappointing. And it hurts, because I really don't like complaining.
  13. Huh . . . The story actually doesn't sound too bad. Thank the gods they aren't just Humans in mechanical suits . . .
  14. Ooh, I really wanna see if GA3 will match my expectations. I thought Ga2 would have fixed some of the things I disliked about the first one, but it sadly didn't. For those of you who've already downloaded and played it, what's changed?
  15. Wow. That's extremely interesting. I wonder if they'll show up this year . . . in STARS FORM. That'd be pretty epic to MOC . . .
  16. I'm kinda interested in Sahmad's Tale, but not overtly so. What Toa Team serial are you talking about though?
  17. No way. The Mahri/Inika had really good development. In fact, some of their Matoran personalities were really boring. Then they got completely shoved out of their comfort zones, and faced some really crazy shit. Matoro and Jaller got a great subtext rivalry going on, Matoro's character was excellently developed. Nuparu learning to fly, despite being stuck underground most of his life? Genius! Kongu becoming a bit more mature, and stopping his complaining a bit? Pretty good. Eventually they became believable characters, and not the plastic, two-word-description-and-we're-done personalities of the Toa Mata.
  18. I think the Bara Magna sets were the best BIONICLE sets ever because they looked like their elements for once. And definitely a breath of fresh air considering the Mistika and Phantoka didn't even look remotely elemental.
  19. Hahah, cool. I was gonna make a topic, but I got too afraid that I'd be shooed out . . . Anyway, that's an interesting story idea, but the black hole part seems a bit . . . implausible. But that's just my opinion. (And I was thinking maybe we should try to connect this to BIONICLE a bit, but again, that's just my idea . . . ) If no one minds, I'd like to call dibs on William Blaze/Furno . . .
  20. I for one really liked Ignika's character. It brought a bit of existentialism to BIONICLE, and I really liked seeing what it observed and thought about creatures it couldn't actually understand. So if a poll were made, I'd undoubtedly vote for Ignika to get a body again.
  21. Oh God, I remember getting Lewa Nuva, thinking "OMG BENDABLE LEGS SO COOL!!!!111" then being disappointed when they weren't bendable. x'D Thankfully we got bendable legs in '03 and then got bendable everything in '04.
  22. Y'know, call me a criminal or what-have-you, but I'm getting more nostalgia from these sets than I did from the Stars. Six elemental heroes with larger villains to fight? Sounds pretty great to me. If only the actual story to go with those sets were better . . . And the names. Eugh, the names. (I'm still really interested in the collaborative fanmade story idea for HerO Factory . . . ) Also, they seem to have Glatorian heads!!! <3 :D
  23. I really don't see why you people hate Vezon. He's by far one of my favorite characters, and breaks up the otherwise intense monotony of most MU story with his awesome sense of black humor.
  24. Alright, I'm thinking that 'Blaze Bike' and Drop Ship' are some kind of transforming mecha or something. Also, Bulk and Vapour are either Those Two Guys, or Those Two Bad Guys.
  25. Wow, that stuff is all really useful. Awesome to know Makuta was always planned to win. ^,,^ This also gives me another reason to justify my hate of '05 xD
