  1. I'm actually looking forward to multiple King figs, that way I'll be able to sell off the extras to bring down the total cost of the set in the first place. Is the queen different from the fig in Skeleton Tower?
  2. Those legs do look shorter, and having them in a new color is always good for more variety in children (albeit children with long ape arms ).
  3. Spotted a Darth Vader's Tie at Walmart today, and they also had the AT-AP walker $10 off. Of course their LEGO section was all messed up, but they did seem to have a fair bit of the '09 selections in.
  4. I was actually thinking about an "Ani's House" set with a Schmi Skywalker and half done 3PO minifig, but I think the actual set would be pretty boring (and people would only get it for the figs ). An underwater Gungan village on the other hand...
  5. I have the first two heads (stubble w/ bandana and striped), but did you only want the complete minifig set?
  6. That's really nice Badsneaker, I like how you have the snowman from the advent calendar in there. That isn't normal blue is it? Looks like that color that Knight's Kingdom used (kinda bluish-purple); how did you get so much of that specific color?
  7. Did you have anything specific in mind that I may have?
  8. Yeah, names would be helpful, but I might have one or two of those.
  9. Yeah maybe something like sky pirates, but they can only redesign an airplane so many times...they could maybe have a floating base or something similar to that.
  10. I was about to say, the build of it reminds of the mini ISD; too bad I'm not a subscriber, I can't justify paying that much for sets I may not even like and a magazine I'll never read.
  11. Well let's see: they have the land/underground/underwater/space covered...maybe some type of air civilization or sky theme? Ok, maybe not...
  12. Hmm that's weird since I went to Target on the 26th around 2 oclock, I guess that was too late. Guess I'll have to wait until July now.
  13. Two weeks should be plenty. Mine usually arrive in about a week, sometimes a day or two longer/less. Pick-a-brick, on the other hand, can take 2 weeks and sometimes even longer. Not sure if New Year's Day is a postal holiday, but that shouldn't affect it too much.
  14. Looking great Teddy. One minor thing that is bothering me: what's up with that one white tree on the right, did you run out of brown pieces? How about maybe adding a watch tower down the line, or maybe some type of water craft?

    City '09?

I agree with most everyone else about the sports car set, can't wait to get my hands on that one. The creator house looks decent; the tan one is better, but the price tag kind of put me off from it so hopefully this one will be somewhere in between the Beach House and the tan one.
  16. Pretty good deals, but I was hoping for deeper discounts. Wonder when Target will start clearance pricing their sets...
  17. Very similar to my experience Matteo; I went to Target first where they were down to a couple Indy sets and a whole lot of those $15 bulk brick tubs. I also happened to see the larger Power Miner set there. TRU had most of the 08 stuff still on the shelf along with the entire Pirates line, I'd say about half the Power Miner sets and 1 Darth Vader's Tie, which I promptly bought. What was funny was that another AFOL I'm guessing asked me as I was heading to the cash register where I got it from, so I had to tell him the bad news.
  18. Is that a chrome lightsaber hilt I see? Maybe TLG will start using these in the limited edition sets (they need some excuse to justify paying more money for less ).
  19. Too bad it wasn't Walmart, I'm sure you could have gotten away with paying $10 for it. But really, the closest Kmart to me now is almost 30 minutes away so I never bother going there to check their sets, especially since the last time I went to one there was basically nothing there.
  20. Kaufman Brothers, the guys who founded the chain (US only). Known for their high prices and out of date stock, I'm surprised it lasted this long.
  21. May have to pick up the Droid Gunship, thanks for the heads up. Went to both Toys R US and Target, but no significant sales yet.
  22. Yep, went to my other KB close to where I live and there was absolutely nothing. Too bad really, since I went a couple days before Christmas and they still had Dwarves Mine, a Coast Guard set, and a couple others.
  23. One of these would be awesome, although with TLG seemingly unwilling to continue making chrome lightsaber hilts I highly doubt it would be all chromed out. Maybe they could bring back a Gungan set that includes 3 or 4 Gungan warriors and that shield generating thing with the large lizard (descriptive I know ).
  24. Got this set at Target during their Black Friday sale; I really love it, the sheer size of it is really amazing. The construction was a little suspect here and there, but overall it was a great experience building it and displaying it (and it hasn't come apart for me either). Great review by the way.
