  1. From my quick count, looks like 42 pieces not counting the extras that will most likely be included.
  2. Nice find on the mini; might try to build it later, not too many rare pieces except for the sloping vent piece in dark bley.
  3. Looks good! Very creative for the limited number of bricks available.
  4. It kind of looks like a dark blue dragon, but when I first saw it I just assumed it was part of the art on the box (like a rock formation or something).
  5. Are there any particularly rare pieces in the fort or shipwreck hideout (excluding the flags)? I want to build those, but I'm not sure I have the necessary pieces.
  6. I know this may be a little too gruesome ( ), but how about a crime scene investigation. Or you could go with a television reporter with video camera, or a journalist with camera taking pictures of something (crime scene perhaps). And lookie here, I have the perfect photographer (my sigfig!): Sorry about the weird colors, I was trying out modes on my camera; the color is dark blue for the torso and legs and black hair.
  7. Great review, love the Yeti (got one myself but not the set). I wouldn't mind having that white baseplate, so I'll keep an eye out for this set when it's below $10.
  8. As other people have said, this is awesome for a first MOC! This looks really great, like something that LEGO could have released back then as an actual set.
  9. Love them all, especially the Jedi Starfighter with booster ring and Hailfire Droid.
  10. I think he may have meant using the lightsaber as a whole (the hilt with the blade as one).
  11. Went to my nearest KB yesterday, and it was already closed. There is another that is fairly close but I don't want to make a potentially useless trip...
  12. Saw this on the Brothers Brick blog, and I'm still in awe. The little details are amazing, and the roof work is really well done.
  13. Maybe sinner could randomly pick winners from the remaining people who entered but didn't win? That way if there are any unclaimed prizes in a few months they won't go to waste.
  14. Great bed, love the wooden footboard. I agree with the person above me, maybe change the color of the roof so it won't blend in so much.
  15. Side by side the cow does look a little short, but I don't think it really matters all that much. A redesigned horse with better dimensions would be best, but that would cause all kinds of problems.
  16. I voted no, but that's my greedy half talking. In actuality I guess it would depend on the set, but given the chance to sell it for loads of cash and opening it I would have to sell in order to get more for my money in current sets.
  17. Darth Vader's Tie, grabbed the last one at TRU the day after Christmas.
  18. Looking great; wish I had the time, money, resources, and patience to make a city like yours. Quick question, does the Green Grocer come with an interior?
  19. Wow I'm not gonna lie, that is pretty OCD. I checked my R2 from the Droid Escape set (#7106), and sure enough no nubs inside. Since it was released in 2001, it confirms your spreadsheet theory.
  20. Looks like I'm gonna go with everyone else here and just buy one; it has some nice pieces, so I'll keep those and a silver droid as an IG-88. The rest I'll probably end up selling on ebay.
  21. There's also a plain red parrot and even a pink one I think? Nicely done, though BrickBeard may want to invest in some glasses first if he needs a looking glass to choose his pet.
  22. Yeah that's what I had in mind when I said suspect building. It never did quite line up perfectly, but I think that's more a fault of the design than me doing something wrong (and probably something unavoidable).
  23. Sure my roommate might playfully make jabs at me for still being into LEGO, but I know deep down inside he likes them too. Not sure why you should care what other people think of you; as long as you aren't harming anyone else or yourself, you should be able to choose any hobby you want. As other people have mentioned, however, it's never good to over-spend on LEGO and always plan ahead.
  24. Looking forward to the Tank Droid; if it's sub-$20, that would be great.
  25. I'm interested in some of your Star Wars stuff if you still have them, I'll send a PM with what I have from your list a little later.
