  1. *Sigh* I've experienced that one. :'-( That reminds me of a time I tried to open a cereal box using a pocket knife. X-D
  2. Same here. At first I thought there'd be a big shipping charge, but there isn't. Someone made a steal.
  3. No, it probably wasn't necessary, but I don't think it was unnecessary either. If it was an older thread, then yeah, it add enough to the thread to make it worth bringing up an old thread, but since it's still somewhat recent, I don't see any harm in it.
  4. Heh. Thanks for giving me the win, Brickster. I don't mind sharing it with you, though. ;-) Well, congratulations to the other winners. And thanks to Brickster for doing this. :-)
  5. If someone asks you again, I will try to give you a little time to answer. ;-)
  6. Well, I said I probably wouldn't get this earlier in the thread... but I just ordered one. *wub* I can't wait for it to arrive.
  7. It's one of Dumbledore's torsos: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp...73pb123c01&in=S
  8. Are you my long lost brother? 8-
  9. Hmm. I think that the first scene, with everyone falling off the cliff was really well done, but besides that, I found the move just okay.
  10. Hello, Wyvern! Welcome to EB! :-) I'm guessing from your name you have a least a small interest in fantasy?
  11. No, I just wish I could win. :-P My votes went to... Most creative: Larry of the Metal arm. Yup, I'm bad. Best Overall: Master Aves Hawthorn, by SirNadroj. I really liked the choice of torso, and I think that head fits great with the hair. Best Workshop: I voted for Alex's Druid Outdoor Workshop, which just beat Brickster by a hair. I really like the idea of an outdoor workshop, and he executed it very well. BTW, if we had a 'Overall coolest looking wizard' category, my vote would go to Khorne. *knight*
  12. Thanks. The hat idea isn't really original, though. I saw before on one of Lenny's creations over on CC. It is a little cruel, but I guess he just used the items he had on hand. ;-) Okay. Thanks for clearing that up... it makes much more sense to me now. :-)
  13. From what I can see, this looks lovely. *wub* The color scheme is great.
  14. Congratulations on the win Rexcal! I'm sure there's not one AFOL here that does not envy you... don't be surprised if you become the most hated member of the forums. :-P Enjoy!
  15. This is an example of a bowler:
  16. Heh heh. Welcome Imperial Shadows. :-) You are the same name on FBTB, correct?
  17. As far as I know, there isn't a Lego bowler. I think the closest would be this hat: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=3878 ...Which is more of a top hat, but might work ok.
  18. Here's my entry. :-) Unfortunately, I was unable to finish his workshop on time. :-/ Larry of the Metal Arm The eldest of three sons, Larry was born into a rich family, and was rather spoiled growing up. When he came of age, Larry was knighted. While not a particularly good leader or fighter, he had a sly tongue, which he used to manipulative advantages. Through many dishonest and backwards dealings, he gained high status, and became popular with the king. Eventually, he found himself in a very powerful position, and very well off. He bragged and boasted, finding pleasure in belittling those around him. One night, during a particularly large feast, Larry gorged himself on the wine, becoming excessively drunk. In his drunken stupor, he claimed that he was the finest swordsman in the kingdom, and bet his fortune that no one could better him. A young soldier from the South took up his challenge, and they agreed to meet in one week's time. As soon as Larry became sober again, he agonized over the predicament he had gotten himself into, but was too proud to try to call off the duel. Upon the agreed date, he and the young soldier faced off. Larry being a very poor swordsman, the match did not last long. It was not long before, the soldier sliced off Larry's sword arm, crippling him and ending the duel. Larry, utterly ashamed, penniless, and missing a limb, left everything he knew and owned. He stayed in a small village for a while, allowing his wounds to heal. When he was fit to travel, he journeyed into a small wood, made himself what shelter he could, and lived there. Alone and disabled, he found it hard to survive. He eventually was forced to live off grass and tree bark. A hermit, strolling though the woods as was his daily habit, found Larry, who was by then unconscious and dangerously weak. The hermit pitied Larry, and took him into his house (which just so happened to be a large, hollow tree stump.), where he fed and nursed him back to health. As it turns out, the hermit wasn't just a simple hermit, but a powerful magician also. He trained Larry in his ways, teaching him everything he knew. Larry was a very humble and grateful student, until the day came when the hermit told him that he could teach him nothing that Larry did not already know. That night, Larry murdered the hermit while he slept, using nothing but a piece of paper and a tin cup. Having rid himself of his former mentor, Larry took over the hermits home and belongings, settling himself into the hollow tree the stump, and rearranging things as he saw fit. For a few years after that, Larry stayed in that tree stump, learning and improving his power. He eventually created a special type of metal, which he was able to enchant and attach to his person, thus creating an artificial arm for himself. Nowadays, you may see him wandering aimlessly through the woods, carrying a large wooden staff, and wearing a bright yellow hat. His skin is a sickly pale color from hours spent out of the sun, and of course, he has a metal arm, which he is most known for. I must warn you though, not to ask him about it, for his is a bit grouchy about the subject.
  19. But if your therapist does his job right, we'll probably never see anymore episodes! 8-| X-D
  20. I'm glad to see that you're still going to finish this. It's a great idea, and you've done well with it so far.
  21. I really like this. The idea is quite creative, IMO, and you've pulled it off excellently. If you want this creation to look realistic, I would also suggest another horse and probably bigger wheels. However, if you wanted a cartoony look, that's exactly what you got. (which personally, I like. It gives the creation more character. :-) )
  22. Hey Brickster. I really like your entry... very creative. However, isn't the wagon kind of in the grey area as far as this rule goes? Of course, it's your contest, so it's really up to you...
  23. Another nice addition. I laughed out loud at the part where the crocodile jumps out and starts randomly shooting people. :-D I look forwards to next episode.
  24. Wouldn't it be better to just leave? That way, if you ever wanted to come back for some reason, you could...
  25. Do you mean the skins? Brick Minor is just making an update on them, and they should be back eventually.
