That looks fantastic! The only issue I see is the black helms in the infantry clash a lot with the softer browns, greens and beiges, using a pearl metal colored helmet instead will give these a lot more character, I now that particular model only comes in black, gray and that rare chrome from the 90's but have you thought of using the smaller dwarf helmet from the castle theme for them? I feel it would fit them a lot more Great work, I am envious of your collection!

2011 NINJAGO sets
Sirens-of-Titan replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
You know, it's entirely possible that there will be more videos even a movie, but a series seems unlikely; all the decor in the video was based on the sets; yes it mimicks 90's ninja cartoons, but I think that's the point. (also who would sign them up for an all-Lego cartoon? Not one network can claim copyright so its going to be like a 30 minute Lego commercial pretty much: and that's expensive) These actually look far better now, in the context of the cartoon, and the whole play on elements and the return of the living dead actually have a lot of potential. I'm curious as to how they will connect the classic ninja dojo and earthy elements with the crazy motorized vehicles, turrets and fortress. -
No Remorse! Falcon Watchtower
Sirens-of-Titan replied to Derfel Cadarn's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Yet again excellent! Your imagination has no bounds and your techniques are incredibly creative! That tree is amazing, and the way you've posed the battle might as well have been taken out of a movie frame! Keep on building I can't wait to see what you will conceive in the future! -
2011 NINJAGO sets
Sirens-of-Titan replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I just realized that's a new beard! Also the dojo seems to be an obstacle course! You run down the bench on the left, dodge the axes, step up the bamboo, grab the chain and swing over the spikes, grab the golden star, swing over the "lava" and then dodge the swords on the right to complete the task. Pretty wicked -
I got the minifigures pack yesterday and the dog and the robber's backpack make this set worth the 10$ price! The police officers are nothing special, but that dog!!!

REVIEW: 7307 Flying Mummy Attack
Sirens-of-Titan replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I got this yesterday, and I'm very happy with it! The jacket is amazing! I want to get 5 of these and make a WW2 bomber crew! The mummies are nice, although they are the exact same mummy torso/face from every other set, I wish it had some diversity, but that's reserved for wave 2 I suppose... The biplane is actually pretty neat, and once you remove that ridiculous gem-snatching technic piece from the bottom it is very pleasant to look at; it's simple but effective, and the Tommy guns on top are very cool. Now if they include another airplane with the next wave it would be great to build a squadron -
REVIEW: 7306 Golden Staff Guardians
Sirens-of-Titan replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
You read my mind! Now to wait a month for the Anubis guardians from the pyramids to get on bricklink, I have no intention (or enough cash) to get 4 pyramids -
Review: 7305 Scarab Attack
Sirens-of-Titan replied to Still Raindrop's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Excellent Review! I got one yesterday and I actually think the scarab is one of the best designed creatures Lego has ever produced! It's like a mini-figure! It has no awkward pieces, its legs are movable, and it quite sturdy! I put the staff from the guardians set in his hands and positioned him so he's propped up on it, and I have to say it looks pretty bad-a$$ (the eyes are the only thing that bugs me a bit but I'm sure I'll think of a way to get around this) I think this set is a total deal for 5 bucks, I mean some of the collectible figures cost that much around here! To me this set was an excellent addition to the guardians set and I will be incorporating the scarab into my army of mummies (and none of the other poorly-build "living statues") -
Wow I have a feeling we will be seeing a repeat of the Atlantis story; wave upon wave upon wave of sets with new protagonists and mummy characters hitting us all year! I for one hope in a bit more variety in the next wave, there is only 1 type of mummy torso (excluding the pharaoh's) and head, so to someone who would want to build up a force of these the only difference is the headdress; and that is not distinctive enough. I am hoping for next wave to have a few more torsos, and other gods depicted as mainatures (imagine a Horus figure, or Osiris!) Any of these might be superb:

Granted, but the helm on the spartan is in the new Atlantis set

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3 discussion
Sirens-of-Titan replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I'm happy with any ID system as long as I can find some to go through; the only place in my area I've been able to find these is at urban Outfitters, behind the counter at $5 each -
General Pirates of the Caribbean Theme Discussion Thread
Sirens-of-Titan replied to Oswald the Rabbit's topic in LEGO Pirates
I can't wait to see some skeletons in dark tan or gray as well as a whole bunch of British soldiers. in a way this theme is an expansion of the fantasy elements of other themes into the pirates line; we have always had very 'historic" pirate sets, with no real monsters undead etc, so while some might think this isnt a good thing I can't wait to get my hands on all the unique fantasy elements these sets will bring -

I got 4 of these last night in a TRU in New York for 9.99$ each -
REVIEW: 7327 Scorpion Pyramid
Sirens-of-Titan replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Great review! The Anubis guardians are gonna be a hot item on bricklink I can see these going for 12$ each The figures are fantastic and the design is good, but I feel that base takes up over half of the build therefore, only the top of the pyramid is a structure the rest might as well be a platform, its clever and saves on parts but for 100$, I'm a little disappointed with it -

Has anyone seen the temple set anywhere? I've only seen the smaller sets in TRU so far -
2011 NINJAGO sets
Sirens-of-Titan replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
This is the only 2011 theme I have not yet seen in TRU, wondering what's taking so long. I got a whole bunch of pharaoh's Quest sets yesterday and there were Atlantis and city sets, but no Ninja stuff yet -
I just got 3 staff guardian sets for 10$ each at my TRU and the scarab set for 5$!! I love these guys, I don't much see the point in buying a "battle pack" so to speak, the guardian set is essentially a battle pack
-
How incredibly dark and twisty!
-
True in general but look at all the examples of parts being used in regular sets; the skater punk hair became a Harry Potter accessory, and the spartan helmet is in the new Atlantis sets. Although I doubt we will see Elves appear in regular set, this bow may just make an appearance in a future castle line

2011 NINJAGO sets
Sirens-of-Titan replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I don't know about this game, I mean clearly I'm not going to play it but to me it seems that even kids won't find it all that exciting; the rules are so simple its like the game concept was an afterthought, and yet they are marketed as a game! I can't see kids sitting around for hours playing this; it will get old after a few tries and apart from positioning weapons and pulling cards out, what possible strategic value does this have? -
Crazy!!! How are these out already? I'm gonna try my TRU in New York today to see if they have them! I'm excited!
-
Love it! Thank you for giving these guys different faces! I can't take it seriously if they all have the Leonidas face!
-
Wonderful work! That must have taken forever to pick out all the minifigure parts and then build the sets around them! Job well done!

2011 NINJAGO sets
Sirens-of-Titan replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
You know these kind of remind me of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoons By that logic the samurai warrior in the fortress set is Shredder I don't think there's all that much to complain about with these; they are an excellent source of unique parts and weapons, and of course with a little modding one could make a very "historic" ninja set, replacing the skeletons and their crazy tech with standard minifigs. Something I notice about the prelims of the spinners: none of them are wearing their headgear, probably because they come that way out of the box, but I believe the headgear will be included anyways since the cards showcase it. -
2011 is going to kill my funds! Is it just me or is the pyramid not as huge as is initially looked; The majority of it is the base which gives the appearance of a large structure but the actual "pyramid part" is only about 16 - 17 blocks high, sloping upwards, and counting the side panels, it looks like the piece count won't be all that high on it. The adventurers are great, but I wish they included a more-diverse crowd; we only get the Jake character a girl, motor cyclist and professor. (I'm not gonna complain about uneven distribution i could always Bricklink the characters but it seems unfair to kids) The vehicles are great, but why did they all have to be a in that deep red?The old adventures line had a lot more diversity in the vehicles and they looked ab it more "deserty" The plane is really well designed and the pilot from series 3 mini figures will fit it like a glove! The mummies look phenomenal, I had a feeling that those faces were double sided and I'm happy they indeed are! The thing that's got me most excited is the possibilities of this line! They will make a killing with these; after all most people love Egyptian stuff, so kids and adults alike will buy these like there's no tomorrow; meaning the line will most likley be continued for a few extra waves, bringing in more characters, mummies, vehicles, and possibly even expanded to other locations: Imagine; "Olympus's Quest" Jake the professor and the crew go the Greece and are faced with mythological creatures!
