Good for throwing that in. When I was reading the comments and saw that they had dated it later than it's actual origin, I had one of those "hey now," moments.

I've got to say, when I first read the rumors of them changing the name of the Castle line, I was a little weary. But really, it sounds like what they have in development will be phenomenal. I can't wait for pictures of this to leak. It really hearkens back to classic Castle theme motifs and elements.

Wasn't on the list. While I did exclude certain themes, I didn't exclude sets from the themes listed.

Not think. Know.

I wanted to pass along a list of sets that are to be discontinued soon. Many of these, as members are aware, are already discontinued. I only made note of ones from themes I collect, so I excluded some others (Bionicle, Duplo) which were listed but I wasn't terribly interested in. Anyways, here's the list separated by theme: Star Wars Anakin's Fighter Hail-Fire Droid & Army of Droids AT-AP Podwalker Rogue Shadow MagnaGuard Starfighter V-19 Torrent Imperial Dropship Rebel Scout Speeder Indiana Jones Motorcycle Chase The Lost Tomb Temple Escape River Chase Jungle Cutter Temple of the Crystal Skull Shanghai Chase Fight on the Flying Wing Mindstorms Mindstorms NXT (discontinued in April 2010) Castle King's Castle Siege Dwarves' Mine Tower Raid Troll Assault Wagon Dwarves Mine Defender Troll Warship Agents The entire first product line (IE non-Agents 2.0 sets) City Fire Station Garbage Truck Quad Bike Off Road Vehicle & Jet Scooter Helicopter & Raft Patrol Boat & Tower Dozer Helicopter Transporter Pirates The entire line Spongebob Squarepants Remaing sets that have yet to be discontinued So anyways, just thought I'd pass this along. Some of these sets are part of Black Friday sales here in the states, so grab them if you don't have them!

It's not LEGO. I worked for FedEx for years. It's considered air freight not just because it goes on a plane, but because of how far they throw it to load it onto their truck. The only time we had a slight crackdown on this policy was when someone threw a $50,000 painting, which then landed on an upright tube of architectural drawings thereby punching a nice circular hole through the cardboard, and subsequently the canvas of the painting itself. So, from what I've heard UPS is much the same.

I'll sign. I'd definitely buy at least one of each set were they to revive this line.

This is a huge bummer. And now I hear that Castle is in trouble for being canceled too? Yuck. This doesn't bode well for my collection next year. And here I was expecting the sad Pirate news to be that we can't get any Advent Calendar's here in the states. What a bummer.

I did add it to my collection, and in fact, I love it. I think it's a great building. Though I agree with the thoughts on the courtyard, and thus do not include mine in the modular spread I have set up. I say if you manage to find one you should certainly go for it. I found mine at deep discount in a LEGO store last summer.

No new Ninja sets in 2010, but some great parts from the Prince of Persia line that will definitely bolster the Ninja collector's collection.

I check there pretty often. Managed to find a few sets over the months. Got half of the Exo-Force line there actually. If I find these Batman sets I'll be a happy camper.

Actually, those are still prototypes, but are extremely close to the final versions. Still a small bit of polishing to be done.

More new products from Shop@Home (2009 later half)

The candle is clearly one of those ones similar to the kind that are burned down in anticipation of Christmas, a mark for each day until the big day comes. If you count, it has 25 segments. -
I saw another fellow doing this at a local Toys R Us, and he found two. Good job.

According to a spreadsheet I use to keep track of my entire collection, I'm at 115,106 pieces and 1,097 minifigures. And in spite of this, I can still think of a great many pieces I'd like to get my hands on. There have been other threads that talk about how many minifigures people have, as a point of interest, but I don't recall seeing one that asked the piece count question. I feel like I have a lot to MOC with, but were I to sit down and create any legitimate creation, I believe I still would have to turn to BrickLink to fill certain specialty needs. I think that sort of thing is inevitable, no matter how large the collection.

Nice, thanks for posting these auctions, I'll be keeping my eye on several of them.

Congratulations Hinckley! 30% for us LLC employees, and two days of the year we get 50% off, once in the summer and once at Christmas time. The first of which was just a few weeks ago for us, and I definitely bought 35 sets.

Happy birthday Algernon! Hope you get some great Space Police sets!
-
Heh. $40. Suuuuuure.

Speaking of giving these things away, did everyone know they were handing a ton of these out at LEGOLAND California for the Star Wars weekend? Kids could earn them for trivia contests, and building competitions. They gave away a thousand or so.

Oh my GOSH. This is great! I can't wait to get this. And I have to agree, more Christmas Village LEGO sets!

That's great. Thanks for posting that video. I can't wait to see more of these.

Soon, I promise I still have three more sets in my closet to review, and with any luck I'll have the Aeriel Defense Unit sooner rather than later.

If you can afford it, why not? Initially, I'll only collected City and Castle. But now, due to my 30% Legoland discount, I buy all the themes. Whatever you can afford and want, go for it. What else would stop you?
