I was getting really annoyed with lego in 2008, the exchange rate got to 80cNZ to the US dollar and they still charged us at least double US prices! Well late 2008 the dollar dropped to 55cNZ to the dollar, so i decided to give lego leaniancy (SP?). I desided mabye they had high prices for us kiwis because it was possible the dollar would fall (which it did ). But now, the dollar has stabilized at around 56cNZ. BUT Now lego puts up their prices to kiwis because the exchange rate has fallen. What the heck? Just as it was getting fair, they put up prices. $120 for the Solar sailer? $100 for Ahsoka's fighter+ Vulture droid? $100 for the AAT? This is outragious! GRRRR! But, as if thats not enough, lego gives the US amazing promos and thing. Gold C-3PO's, Chrome Vaders, Exclusive Brickmaster subscripions. Boy am i glad i don't buy CW sets, at least i only need the Tie from next year... _____________________________________________________________ However, on another note, about sales. I'm lucky to get 25% off! These half price deals in the US and absolute crazy bargians... Boy i get jelous! _____________________________________________________________ HOWEVER... i was really lucky this year. The Warehouse (New Zealand department store chain) had Indy sets and Speed racer sets 50% off! That was heaven... boy, i spent up large on those Indy sets But behind this rant, i do understand. Complaining doesn't do anything, it just gets you all worked up and angry. Sure, i get a bit angry every now and then, but, i just try to put it out of my head, and take advantage of the deals we do get.

Can we ban Wiki from being refured too? Seriously though... It's never right...

You're exactly right. It's against the contract to put a licenced themes specialty peice in any other themed set

Hey guys, I've got a 7191 Star Wars UCS X-wing fighter opened and built. Main UCS sticker applied, others not. The instructions were strangely misprinted, putting some pages twice and missing others. But still readable and you can still make the set. W/ Box, Instructions, and is 100% complete. I'm looking for around $225US Postage not included. I accept Paypal only from Internationals. Its only 10000 darth vader in the us. Its just like the C3po. They will be in the bigger sets. They will also put some in the coming summer sets. A few people over on FBTB found them in Battlepacks (strange, i know)

Today i grabbed a speed racer set (the red and yellow racers set) 1/2 price ($20) in the boxing day sales. I went to K-mart hoping to find a cheap AT-AT but they were sold out of about all lego apart from a few Indy jungle cutters...

Because they're stickers I know what you mean, but it doesn't matter. It's the same thing and means the same thing so don't worry about it.

I don't think all the C-3PO's have been found yet. Any of last years star wars sets still have a chance of getting one. But VADER, well, his takeover is far from finished! His reign is just beginning. It is similar to the Gold C-3PO in the fact that Chrome Vaders will randomly be put into 2009 star wars sets (only in the United States ). But also there are heaps to be availible around the rest of the world this time around. But as of yet, apart from pre-ordering the new Vaders Tie in Sweden, it is unkown where they will be distributed. In 2007, there were 10,000 Gold C-3PO's randomly put in US lego Boxes, but next year, there are 85,000 Chrome Vaders, but quantities of when/where is unkown of yet. Also, just confirming, Chrome Vaders could be in any star wars set apart from Battle Packs, and exclusives. (in the US) - Legoman

I think it would also depend on the theme of lego, whats in it (themes, figures) as these would make a huge difference in value. Now i'm guessing these are off Trademe? I also think lego is worth less in other countries, because of market value. Prehaps you could get some Ebay auctions in the mix? Just an idea...
