  1. I read the Walking Dead compendium last week. The first 48 issues. It's a zombie story, but an extended take. The original artist wasn't suited to horror, but the majority of the issues looked solid. Ultimately, I liked it, and want to continue reading the story, but wasn't blown away by it. It is very much along the line of a good HBO show; gritty and nuanced. I think the characters remained a bit flat overall though. I also reread All-Star Superman, as I was in the mood for a good Grant Morrison fix. I loved it the first time around, and liked it less the second time around, but the art by Frank Quitely is still some of the most elegant stuff I've ever seen.
  2. I didn't know there was a list, I didn't know it lead to death. You've schooled me
  3. I don't believe it, but... Happy birthday! Have a good one!
  4. What does "why that list lead to death" mean?
  5. Was that English? Take your pic, BC. The noble but misguided sane, or Legonater... For the record though, I don't understand why that list lead to death either.
  6. The sad thing is that there was reasoning. The last three sanes voted out were voted out with (evidently faulty) logic. When I got voted out from Imperial Soldiers mafia, it was just idiocy, except the few guilty who joined in (yourself included). But this has been a hard campaign in the last three 'days'. I myself became over-confident on day 4, voting for Iamded without great reason, whereas before that I was very conservative in my votes. The finger pointed at you was because you voted out Bob with next to no convincing, then after the fact made no importance of voicing regret or, really, anything, after the fact. I don't know if your vote could have been averted, but if you'd shown something, maybe we would have rethought our vote. I'm guilty of meta-gaming too much though, and thinking about players pasts in games, that I know of.
  7. The baddies really are the draw of the whole series... For better or worse. So far, I only have one little Space Police set. And I'll probably get one to two mid to large size ones, but it will depend on the minifigs. I really like the two in this set, but I know one comes in a smaller set, and I hope the other will too.
  8. Treacherous. Hate those that made the wrong move... But rooting for the bad guys?
  9. I meant during the game, not after

    Slave To The Brick!

I'm not ashamed either, but I am self-aware that, especially in Japan, there aren't many adults walking that aisle for themselves. The adult men buying toys here usually stick to robots and sexy dolls. I'm sure I dropped down $500 there last year, so I got over that fast enough.

The guy in the upper left is Icarus, isn't it? Any clues in this picture?

    LEGO TATTOO!

This might be a little too much for me to handle. It's Dystopic.
  13. I loved that episode, and find it really interesting how mixed fan reactions have been. I've been listening to the Orientation podcast and that episode had the reviewers firmly conflicted. One reviewer thought it was great, another was mixed, and the third thought it was pure cheese. I didn't love the SFX, but the 'light' seemed to fit well with the season 4 (?) episode where Ben spun the donkey wheel to shift the island in time.
  14. Yes. The other insanes have played very well by staying quiet. Legonater though.... No comment.
  15. I was sure the finale was tonight, but apparently it's this weekend. I was so expectantly waiting for it tonight, and I (easily) predicted Jack as Jacobs replacement to a co-worker.

    Slave To The Brick!

I would say that I'm deliberate. I really wasn't skilled enough to get employment drawing. But, an interesting point, about nine years ago, I scanned a handwritten alphabet, and made a font of my handwriting, so I'd be able to have text in a straight line. There are times I'd like to change it, but I've long lost the software I used to make it. It would be good to remake that font. I'll fill you in on a secret though; a majority of comic artists hate their work, and can only enjoy it years and years after the fact. When it's new, all you can see are the flaws and fuck ups. Still, you can't quit, since comics are the only satisfying medium. Illustration pays better, takes less time, and gets more respect... But it doesn't tell as much of a story.
  17. (Solved through PM) It appears that BC didn't consider my gameplay PM as relevant as I did. After the madness of the Prince of Persia mafia week, I guess I just had my brain hardwired to this obsess over every minute detail of things.
  18. If you turn out to be sane, I'll be furiously upset. The gamble that we took was that if you were sane, you would send a PM reply to me saying something like, "No worries, I'm sane, you'll see tomorrow." But if you were insane, there would be no point in replying. And you didn't. I had nothing else to go on. Ahh! The waiting is maddening.

    Slave To The Brick!

It's 100% done in Photoshop, using a Wacom drawing tablet. There was no paper used.
  20. I'm feeling confident that the remaining sanes will be able to get the insanes at this point. <edit> Sort of confident. I won't get a win, but it will be good to have been on the winning team.
  21. Haven't decided to play it, but I'd appreciate the option. LU on Mac please.
  22. I really liked the episode, the atmosphere was great. The tweeting leading to each nod off was a brilliant hook to tie the episode around. Great season so far, making me start to appreciate Dr. Who on a level I hadn't before. Thank you Internet!
  23. I think that's a very good idea. Eurobricks is already a depository for Lego collectors, and the more thought out threads on the hobby, the more interest the site will have to people. I made a stab with my Photoshop thread, and the notion is, if you write it, they will read, to paraphrase. I was working at Toys R Us when these sets were released, but I was only casually interested at the time. It took Star Wars to get me back into it. I'd love to read a history of the line written by someone who had a passion for them as they were released. Anyway, the point of my original post was to say 'Good job!' A beautiful review of a beautiful set. I wish it wasn't priced out of reach at this point.
  24. Great review! You should join the Reviewer's Academy! I was not impressed by the old Grievous starfighter, and I'm really happy I got it for a reasonable price ($30) since it's skyrocketed since. I may pick this one up though, as I really like the minifigs. Thanks for the pics and your thoughts!
  25. Thanks for the time and opportunity. I can't say I played well; I took some calculated gambles and lost. But hopefully my death will give the remaining sane something to rally around.
