  1. It's a good thing she's not afraid of him. I love the cupboard and the stove! :) And yes, I think the rug's a little off.
  2. Why not post them all? OR at least post the one you're most proud of? AFAIK there's no limit to the number of MOC's you could post.
  3. A great collection of MFs. When I saw the Male Prostitutes, I just had to laugh at the guy on the middle because he reminded me of FABIO.
  4. I'm really salivating over the thought of fighting these new battles. But my PC's still not able to take this beautiful game. I guess I'll just have to wait til I can gather up enough moolah for both an upgrade and for the game. Is anyone here a "veteran" of the Total War games? I do know that the tactics for this are new, but, how far is it from Medieval from the tactical and strategy standpoint?
  5. Interesting and a little creepy. "as lil hook's eyes gleamed in excitement..."
  6. Philippines. It's expensive having LEGO as a hobby here.
  7. It's not necessarily a promo material. It's the packaging material the set comes in. Instead of a box, it gets stuffed in a polybag. Usually, sets that are promo materials are packed in polybags, ie The Power Miners Rock Monster, Brickmaster Exclusives et al.
  8. Painted? Wow. That's great craftsmanship there.
  9. I like it! I love the conversion from PM to RR. I miss the teals though (they had teal right?). I also like the fact that it looks meatier. Well there is freedom of the piece count.
  10. Deadwood... Dead... wood.... I just love those white chairs on the second floor. And you've combined the classic open back with the modular "stack on top of each other" building style.
  11. Oh lawdy. I really wish there were PAB walls here in our country. Instead, we get stuck with almost always having 2x the US price for sets here.
  12. I always did collect them. Instruction manuals, catalogue and all. They were all kept in a file bag. The boxes would be flattened so they would all fit. But then my dark age came. I never knew what happened to that bag that held ALL my boxes, catalog and instructions. Today, there's a special section on our cupboard that I use to display the boxes.
  13. I love minifigs. I remember when I was young that I hated playing with JUST bricks. Just like basil and tomato, I like them when they're together or when they're on their own. I like acquiring minifigs but most of the time it's not the sole reason why I would buy a set.
  14. I myself got 15 of those Doc and Patients.
  15. At first glance I really thought it was a screenshot from a movie. Then it hit me. I saw a stud. decided to look closer and lo and behold, it's a vignette. My Gahd. That is great. Lighting, smokey effect. That is just awesome.
  16. It's how I imagined the Troll's fortress would be since they used these kind of "theme" / construction on the Giant Chess Set. The huge doors would really look better if it were a little more detailed. Something that would make them look more daunting.
  17. I thought my eyes were deceiving me when I read the title. Didn't expect a joke. You forgot to water them!! throw some blue 2x2 bricks on top of the holes. And try not to scratch the printing on the torsos X_x
  18. Finally!! Someone who's admitted to the Nostalgia Goggles effect!
  19. I don't think they've become worse. And how exactly are the current sets worse? I've noticed that A LOT of people hold their precious memories of their childhood LEGO sets and quickly dismiss the current sets as inferior or "nothing like what they used to". Hailing them as THE MOST AWESOMERESTEST sets. Well they probably were because you were a kid, imagination is at its peak. I hope that these guys probably just don their nostalgia goggles. Give the new sets a chance. It is still LEGO. And in the end, if you're really not that into the sets, you could always modify them to your liking.
  20. They are OK at most. The bad thing about is that they were labeled as "2010 Sets" Piggybacking troll? I've been planning to make those.
  21. I just received my Dwarves' Mine last month. It's my largest castle set to date (still waiting on my King's Castle Siege to arrive). You may have missed a few pieces in construction, though. The shovel? It goes under the "slide". There's a brown clip there. The Tan troll? I love it. Though it really looks more like an action figure. But I love it. I usually have these large trolls carrying a crate as beasts of burden.
  22. I really like the Green Minifig in this set. The shield printing's are also a nice touch. I like the ship's sails. A whole fleet of these would certainly be a sight to behold. But, true enough, it really does make no sense that the sails are positioned that way. Bikini Knights. I wonder what they were thinking when they chose the colors for the evil knights. Why black and yellow?
  23. Hi, I go by Raven Brickroft here in EB and I'm from the Philippines. I've always been a LEGO fan since childhood. Then I stopped collecting/ buying them when I reached the tender age of about 13 or 14. The last set I bought was the Samurai in blue with the large banner. I got reintroduced to LEGO around the last quarter of 2008 when I saw the Fantasy-Era sets. I am mainly a Castle collector but I used to buy other sets from Space; Blacktron,M-tron and others; City, Pirates sets I think would have great parts for me to use. I am also a chef in training. I'll be graduating in a few days (Wee!! Finally!!). I hope to travel and work after graduating. I am into mountain biking and photography(though I still don't own a GOOD camera). Anyway, I must be boring anyone who's reading this by this point. Anyways, I hope I could make and post awesome MOC's to share here!
  24. A great manor! Would it stay in LDD or are you planning on making with bricks? Oh god, I miss making houses in The Sims. seeing this just made me remember all the houses I made there.
  25. Aha!! A Philbrickster!! The MOC's great. A beefed up Mine Mech. And with that size I don't think It'll be doing more mining. More combat and kicking rock monster big behind. Haha. OT: Are you residing in the Philippines? Where ever did you acquire that Mine Mech? Are the 2009 sets available already?
