BTW: @Master-Evil Sorry to bother with this, but I don't get the 2nd Pic of the alien. Is his helmet on backwards? Or did you pull it down? Can we get an isometric view of the helmet? I'm really intrigued by this new design(it IS new, right?).

Love the Robo-k9 impulse. But, Snake's flying app doesn't do it for me. I think I'll get it just for Snake. The helmet can also be used for trolls.

Already done with both seasons. It's a really great series. I wish more people saw it.

Why are Baseplates so expencive?
Raven Brickroft replied to Legoman's topic in General LEGO Discussion
The paint would add thickness causing a tighter fit or even worse, not even fitting a brick. -
Always great with the brickbuilt creations Maybe you could make his legs a little bit chunkier? He looks a little wimpy because of those skinny legs.

REVIEW: 8962 Crystal King
Raven Brickroft replied to mania3's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
You won't stop til you're done with everything, right? :D Anyway, I've been very optimistic about the crystal king. Though nothing about it stands out, it seems like a really good set for a child. Easy build, big monster. Right up the alley for children. He seems a bit lacking, though. Maybe a little more details in the back. -
Awesome! Just awesome... 7 minifigs? 3 of which are unique. The queen even has a new hairpiece. a truly great set. This maybe the only castle set for me among the summer release. Just beautiful.

Great purchase. I don't see much in these kind of sets, but i've been thinking about getting one. I guess they're a great bunch of parts, well, this one anyways. It's got a few of those clicky hinges. The third model, the chameleon/dinosaur, i always thought was some kind of fish. i guess i fail even more.

Looks great! I see you're drawing inspiration for the future set. Kind of bare when the items inside are taken out. I really love the front facade.
-
I think it's a cute little set. Most if not all parts, I would find some use. I recall someone from another site being able to construct a sort of a mini mech. It was pretty nice considering the limited piece count.

Why not recreate one of their experiments in a vignette?

Starving yourself to get a set?

I don't starve myself, but I do rethink my expenses. Instead of buying fastfood, i go somewhere more affordable. Besides, those that sell the affordable food are so much better than fastfood. -

That's a great idea for a vignette! A black and white vignette. -
IQ question - weight gold bricks
Raven Brickroft replied to hopeso009's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Ohhhh~ riiiiiiiight~ Sorry~ Wasn't thinking that one through. -
Awesome creation!! What I noticed immediately was the red roof. great work there. I'm also puzzled about the sloping brickwall but I think I got it figured out. And the 1x2 effect is indeed very nice. Oh yeah, about the thickness. I think it's pretty normal with seaside forts / walls. Intramuros (Walled City of the Philippines) has a few kilometres of these kind of walls.

IQ question - weight gold bricks
Raven Brickroft replied to hopeso009's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I thought it was heavier or lighter? If 123 =/= 456 How would you know if 123 or 456 bears the special brick? It could be 123 > 456 because 123 has a heavier brick OR 456 has a lighter brick so following this: 1st balance : 123 VS 456 2nd balance : 123 VS 789 ------------------------------- 3rd balance: 456 4 = 5 it does not hold true that 4 > 6 or 4 < 6 because bricks 123 might have the heavier brick. ------------------ Hope someone understands what I am trying to say here. -
Am I the only one who looks longingly...
Raven Brickroft replied to Sir Norman Ray's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Glue? On LEGO? Heresy!! No. I haven't glued any of my bricks. If it's that flimsy, maybe you should rethink its structure. -
The number alone doesn't come to anything. But when I searched in Brickset, I came up with a whole slew of watches http://brickset.com/search/?query=4193

Age of Empires II Woad Raider

Wololo.... Yeah... I pretty much hated the Celts for the fact that they can ransack a village then leave before my army arrives. -
IQ question - weight gold bricks

I already got this in Professor Layton's game for the Nintendo DS. Lemme think this one through. Put 5 / 5 on the scale... no no no... won't work.... -
It looks great! Although, I'd have to say that the tree looks a little too meaty. Maybe a little bit of thinning on the trunk would be great. But what are runes doing in the desert? I'm guessing those are cactii.

You were just used to seeing those torso's on pirates. I love the scene, especially those on the farthest end on the shelves. Are those cake? mmm.... cake... But, I never thought i'd see a steward wear a toque.

It's like a montage of Johnny and the crew's adventures. Needs epic orchestra music to go along with it.

Is There an Upcoming Pirate Building Contest?
Raven Brickroft replied to Bricks's topic in LEGO Pirates
I don't think it's a contest. I think it's just a building event.
