I was wishing that the troll fortress would be more imposing and menacing. But it looks great. The drawbridge looks great.

I love how he's posed in the first pic... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~! Fully articulated? That's great. Good luck with your service bots! Hope to see more of your creations!

Power Miners: New Sets for 2009
Raven Brickroft replied to cartoondude's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
The Power Miners sets look awesome. I'm awestruck by the size of the Titanium Rig! Looks fun! The big "evolved" baddies look great too. They seem menacing. But, I can't wait for the larger more evolved monster that's brickbuilt holding a miner in one of its hands. Too bad there are no pictures of it that was setup. -
I am psyched about the aliens!! New head and helmet molds. And that Four-arm guy... just what the aliens needed. Orange headed guy is probably the squidman. The spiky helmet guy seems to be just a troll with a new helm. Hey, no problems about that. Slap the troll armor in , put him in with the trolls and you've got a troll champion. Skull dudes too. Those new helms just look great. The Galactic Enforcer. just a thing of kiddy beauty! Lots of lasers and shooting things. Kids would definitely love these sets. Just needs a lot of swoosh and pew pew sounds!

Sell my Childhood Lego or not?
Raven Brickroft replied to WetWired's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I would vote against selling your current collection. Your old sets probably have sentimental value. Maybe integrate them as an "old" part of town. I understand your problem and I'm currently experiencing it too. I've recently come out of my dark ages after seeing the new Castle line. Then I decided to dig up my old LEGO. After buying a few sets recently, I know that I don't want to mix my old, yellowy, badly maintained LEGO. So, using only these old stuff, I built a few structures and a few stuff that I would integrate with my newly purchased sets. Thus, relieving the dilemma of thinking about selling my old collection for new ones. -
Wow that thing looks huge!! Quite a bit too pricey. It really wouldn't fit in a town because it's huge! But would it would fit oh so perfectly in a field of green.

Team Beta Community Build MOC's
Raven Brickroft replied to I Scream Clone's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Thrash delivers yet another great module. The Dragon head looks awesome and great choice of color for the exterior. The inside was just chaotic and first look. Just how a den of vices should be. I also like how you made the barrels of ale. The kitchen's great. The chef even has a neckerchief! I like the cute little crab box. Poor shark bleeding to his death. Ah well~ -
2 years old. Still, the MOC's great! I love the rockiness of the exterior making it seem like it was just carved out of the island itself.
-
Cute MOC. A bit too grim for me though. I imagine them hitting the guy multiple times just to get the crunchy and meaty insides.

OMG... my heart skipped a beat when I scrolled down. Kept in boxes? Aww~ -
Hmm... what about the one with the bus and the pizza parlor? Or is it just a small street building?

Preferred new historical theme
Raven Brickroft replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I'd have to go with Greek and their myth. It's basically a child's imagination! Big big baddies, valiant heroes. A struggle of good and evil. Aztecs would better be suited for the Pirates. -
Great MOC I miss my Eldorado. It was the largest of my Pirate sets (I never got a pirate ship ^^;;) The small stairs in the docks, I'd imagine it to be very fragile. Why not make it sturdier?

Too bad I can't be a sigfig. Too weird. OR CAN I.... maybe a cemetary? :skull:
-
Great MOCs! None quite like it. If only Aang didn't have that great big smile. And, too bad AFAIK, there's no Toph minifigs.
-
Definitely Seaworthy. $11 and you get 5 figs!!! Awesome!!
-
Yeah, I loved this guy. I also got 2 of this. Just because i liked the ovoid shield. This was the first time I got the ovoid shields. AND the awesome 3 piece dragon plume set. He also has that black visor.

Review: 6034 Black Monarch's Ghost
Raven Brickroft replied to Nikola Bathory's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
This was also one of my earliest sets. I recall having 2 of these just because I liked the ghost so much. Why can't TLG make something like this nowadays? I'm kinda sick of small sets having some kind of siege weapon. -
He was pertaining to this "Lion King". PJ is the first to come to mind when I first saw your creation. Even the capes are similar. But, I wouldn't trust this king.

The Real Reason for the Christmas Season
Raven Brickroft replied to Mariann Asanuma's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Awesome work~ Something one would expect from someone with your portfolio. -
Great MOCs Zero That last one, Dragon Tyrant, would also work in a Castle theme. I'd love to see crownies try to battle with one of those. Also, it looks like something i'd make in SPORE.

I love it when people make MOCs of Dwarves in technological contraptions. Kinda like the gnomes from WOW. Great creation!!! I'd like to see that plow through a lot of trolls!!!

And I shall christen this Minifig with the name... UNIBROW Great review, I might pick this up just for the head. I'd love that on a chef minifig.
