I gotta agree with Black Rabbit on that terrible skull... It means that I can't use the sails for an imperial ship (they would be some strange imperials...), hopefully this won't be the only pirate ship coming out next year though so I voted yes (heres hoping)...

Ha Hah! Thats great, although if I were you I would have put cobwebs by his camera something and given the woman a suitacase to show that she was leaving him ! Overall an A* MOC with brilliant details...*sigh* if only I could build that well...

This is exactly the kind of thing I expected when I first read about this contest! Funny ,but true to the violent nature of the contest ! My only critique would be for you to make the captain slightly angrier and line the face up with the beard, but I do like it the way it is because of the captain giving the grunt an order. Hmmmm... although I was not a fan of the time cruisers, their ship has my vote simply for the old school hull and mast peices

I think this has to be my favourite entry, gory and somehow a simple and complicated build at the same time (like that brilliant table ) If I could think of an improvement it would be to change the colour of either the floor or the chair as there is a lot of yellow. I would make them darker colours so that the head pile stands out more, although this is not a major critique as the MOC is already amazing.

Other than the improvements stated above, all I can think of as an improvementis to make the cannon operator (beautifully bring ripped to shreds ) look more like an imperial, as at first I thought he was a pirate because of the rag hat.

Interesting, it's well a made entry and shows that the imperial guards have a dark side, not just the pirates. Very imaginative zorro3999 good luck!

I know there are barely any differences, but I slightly prefer this to the contest entry. (Probably because I like to see those Blue-soldier-pigdogs taste cold steel! :pir-skull: )

Old brown is a better colour, but new brown is here to stay so I'm working on updating my collection to it, and as to the shakos I'm assuming they'll be printed as the dark (and light) wizard's hats were.

I actually quite like the boat and cannon, the firing effect is magnificent! Good luck with the contest lego12! EDIT: Not actually sure how that massive cannon ball fits in though :/

I love this MOC/VIG! And you've really sneaked a lot of fruit in there, I see a banana toucan, a carrot torch, all that's left now is an apple gangplank (kidding ) Good luck with the contest!

I'll agree with you that the lack of white torso is a negative, and the old imps had their classic charm, but allow me to justify my opinion on why the new guards are better: 1. More detail on torso print 2. PRINTED shako! 3. New brown backpacks 4. And they come in impulse sets so they'll be dirt cheap on the internet (I know that isn't to do with the look of them but it does matter )

I voted Orc Castle, so long as it's not a conventional stone castle and more 'orcish' (fuelled by seeing a prelim pic of an orc shaman) and ofcourse for more villager sets, to decorate my castles surrounding lands

A fantastic entry NewRight! I like the fire bursting through the broken wall, and the crude orc sword as a pirate one, it fits really well. Oh and GOOD LUCK on winning a prize!

I too have expanded my cinema WIP(I'm trying to build a modular town ) but at the moment I don't have any more of the right blue... Maybe I should go ahead and make my first ever BL order...

Wow! I only just find this topic! Those buildings are amazing Aliencat. I might just have to copy try to build my own. Ofcourse I'd have to get hold of Cafe Corner first...

Oh No! I hoped my vote would tip the poll in the guards favour, but alas I was wrong! I know that both can be used as the British technically, but red and white are the colours of England, my homeland.
