  1. Another great example of the socalled bravery of the bluecoats - torturing prisoners. I just called my friends at the UN and AI to tell them! I guess you will end at the International Court in Den Haag... BTW: You know the reason why our comrade didn't choose the easy way? Beeing keelhauled, he bite chunks of your rotten and wormy planks out of your ship, now it will sink and the waters will be poluted with Blood, Tears, Urine and Vaseline from the Bluecoats Body Holes - because sharks don't eat them with all those slime and dead frogs inside. ;-) Regards, Jan
  2. Who is weaker? The one using women in war or the ones getting beaten, destroyed, killed by those three ladies? ;-) Monday is the next turn for the TUEV.... Regards, Jan
  3. 3 Pics? Sorry, didn't get that. I'll do better... Regards, JanSued Operations Chief TUEV
  4. Ambush! After we all hade to notice, that the bluecoats love to sneak into bedrooms instead of fighting like a man, it is time to give them a lesson. The Bluecoats tried in several attempts to get hold of the street to the harbor, but our brave Redcoats defended it. Then they Blue's took their finest engineers and scientiest and developed a new weapon - the half automatic Nordenfelt machine gun. But Redcoat HQ knew that they would be coming and send their brandnew special unit: TUEV (Team for unnecessary and extrem violence) and ordered them to ambush the ambush in the most brutal way. They prepared a street barrier and waited.... Lead by General Armor Homophil Hornblower (phhht...), the squad tumbled down the street -slightly intoxicated and sexual frustrated... TUEV waited above their heads for the perfect moment .... and then, suddenly to start the party. Yelling "We are red, we are white we are Lego dynamite!" throwing all kind of explosives into the canyon: Almost the whole squad was wiped out immeadetly as the explosives detonated and send a red wet rain of body parts all over the scenery. General Hornblower, brave as usual, coordinated the attack from the behind (phhht...) and cut of extremities of fleeing soldiers to keep up the morale. To mop up, the TUEV used some real sophisticated weapons: Finally, General Hornblower was stabbed from the back (phhht...) and another guy was literally stumped into the ground. The only survivor, Sergeant Doofus B. Hind, didn't get the whole picture and proceeded to fight the fake soldiers - where he encountered something called booby trap which ended his life and released him from the long and ugly nights in General Hornblowers private rooms. So, why did the Bluecoats step into this trap? Beside their obvious stupidity, the TUEV -members were unvisible for them - just because... .. they are females! Mrs. Eastwick, Callsign "Whitch" , shown here with her jetpack. Specialist for silent kills, Mrs. Trixie Lewis, Callsign "Trigger", Grandma of Mr. Isaac Newton Lewis and Inventor of some later family owned weapon creations, Ms. Annastasia Bolika, Callsign "Boom", Specialist for explosives and pure physical force. The survival rate of people teasing her because of her little beard is under 2%, so beware.. You will see more from them...

  8. I can see no difference in those colours...
  9. STOP. With my little remark about the 10199 Super Star Destoryer Set I just was kidding about TLC - which is printing a picture of a top secret product on the backside of the intructions of another set and sell it some weeks before the release - and then try to pull it back us - speculating, flaming, begging and so on just because of one picture or - even worse - some flurry pictures from aTLC movie. I wanted to see the reaction on the 10199. And guess what, it worked, although on check would reveal that it is something christmas... Please forgive me... Reards, Jan
  10. Then I got you wrong to. Lets meet at LegoWorld in Zwolle... Auf Wiedersehen! Jan
  11. Gotcha ! Hahaha....
  12. Sorry if I violated your feelings, but: 1. With not one word I supported or enlighted this very dark German time. 2. But its fact, that a real German fire station in the end of the 30's really would had it and the engine could be green - so it wouldn't be a good idea to make a Lego Set of it. Thats all what I meant. 3. A typical dutch fire station isn't a typical european fire station. I just don't see how my comments can hurt anybodies feelings. I live near the dutch border, I spoke and worked together with dutch collueges and there had no problems with Germans and vice versa. War is over for 60 Years and I just spoke about a historical fact. Talk to the people which are building Lego WWII Tanks with selfprinted Swastikas on it.... The only thing I just won't do is to excuse myself being German because my Grand-Granddad did or did not bad things.
  13. INDEXED It was a nice summer morning downtown. Engine Company 3 just returned from a rubbish fire and stood outside the station, waiting for the next job. . Suddenly, they got a phone call: The yearly inspection, done by the fire chief and the mayor, is on the way! "Guys. all hands! Everybody clean up the station! They will be here in 20 Minutes" And like every year the chief and the mayor are in a bad, bad mood... "Listen up. Costs are exploding. We pay to much overtime. Jake, your haircut is an absolute No-Go! Additionally there are reports about your misbehavior!" At this point they Fireman Jake has to admit, that his relation to the lady with the tan bag started on a professional basis: . And - the water prank done by cookie made it in the news: Then they caught the rookie - the Mayors son - sleeping and waked him up... Finally, they did the old "I hide your pants and then pull the alarm- Prank" to the mayors son.. And so they started their inspection. Mayor: "Silver Helmets? Are you crazy? Why don't you've black helmets like every other firefighter in the US?" Chief: "Errr, mmm, Chrome. But therefore we just purchased one Airpack." Chief: "Hmm. I think I saw this tools somewhere else. Maybe in the TWILIGHT Zone.." Chief: "Ups. No handrails!" Mayor: "And the clock goes wrong. What kind of Fire Department is this?" Mayor: "Chief, what is this. Don't tell me it's grass and mud! Can you imagine what the citizens will say if they would know that the backyard of a public building looks like the Rain Forest?!" Mayor: "Here is where my money goes - the kitchen is better than mine! Oh, and Original Thüringer Bratwurst! I love it!" Chief: "Ups, safety again - this slide pole will really hurt you... And normally it has to made of .." Mayor: "Chrome, I guess. Chief, it's enough.." Chief: "This is the sofa I told you about. We need a new one, this is too small!" Mayor: "Nonsense. Let's try it. See, its good for us both..." Chief: "Mayor, come on. Let us play Ping-Pong - If I win, we get a chrome Slide Pole, if you loose, we get a new ladder truck.." Mayor: "Lets go for the roof." Chief: "Again no handrail...." Mayor: "You can't be to busy if there are bats in your alarm bell tower." Chief: " Maybe its because we don't use it anymore? Nowadays we have sirens..." At the end of the Inspection: Mayor: " Give me one reason why I should not close this station and let you guys empty trash cans.." Chief: " Or why I shoudn't discipline you. Maybe we should talk about your recreational possibilities in this station..." But finally, everybody got what he wants.. Mayor: "Mmmmm" Chief: Mmmmm, chrome!"
  14. INDEXED Hello! Few days ago, I just put "Lego 10197" into the ebay search link - and found a german lego seller who offered it. You guess what happened next. Here is my (maybe not perfectly technical focussed) review: Name: "Fire Brigade" (which is more a british term, or?) Theme: Exclusive Sets Year: 2009 Pieces: 2231 Minifigs: 4 x a dog Price: € 149,99 1. Introduction For me, this is my first set form the Exclusive Town Series (Green Grocer..). "Normally" I'm building Space or the create simple City buildings for my kids. But the overall design and the theme (old US-Fire Station) really got my attention. 2. Box and contents Front of the box, showing front and back of the building Back of the box, showing details and an expensive streetline... This is what you will find inside: and this is how the instructions look like: No stickers. Just a picture of the 10199 (UCS Super Star Destroyer) on the back side. Nothing really exciting yet. 3. Here we go - the Engine. It all starts with the Fire Engine. To be straight - I don't like it and while I'm writing it I gave it to the kids - what normally ends in total destruction within 40 Minutes. (I'm so proud of them ;-) Although the design is fine and fits to the building, I didn't find any similar Midi Pumper on Google which looks like this thing. It has some nice features, but the overall is not satisfaying. ( At least me) How put to minifigs on a 6 studs wide vehicle: The Dashboard is also very neat: Backside with two yellow fire extinguishers (in yellow - never saw one in yellow in real. Normally they are Mmmmm Chrome)suction hoses, two hooks (?) and a "ladder" - which is 2 studs higher than a minifig. Front with a nice bumper and a chrome cooler cap. The Red Emergency light is open on top - what happens if its raining? The yellow technic thingie is the pum inlet, I guess. 4.1 First Floor Ok. Now its getting interesting. My first exclusive town building.. A lot of tiles for the entrance and front side ;-) , nearly no tiles in the back or in the building inside ;-( Mayor: "3 ? 3 ???! We just have one station in this city? Who told you to build two more stations?" Chief: " Errrrr. Just, wait, the big depression will be over in a few years...) I must admit, that building the walls with the millions of little plates and parts is very, very exhausting.. And yes the helmet holders are grey frogs. BTW: If you kiss a grey frog... http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/jansued/10197/frog1.jpg PUFF .. you will get a fireman instead of a prince: The bay door (in Red !) is perfectly designed, although I'm not sure if they had this type of doors in 30's.. You see no gap from the "street". Also the SNOT-Window on top the bay door is a great detail! If you are looking for not-so-good details to point out: The inner side of the front wall . One reason why I'm sure that the des desginer actually never was an active firefighter is the slide pole: 1. It's yellow (Mmmmm chrome ;-( 2. There is a rocket piece on the ground. This will hurt some very special parts if you slide down.. In the back, there are some black doors and a back entrance. The little roof can be detached. And there is some "Grass" (Green Plates) and "Mud" (Brown Plates). Come on - this looks like the DUPLO Zoo... Finally, you have the two emblems above the windows: A golden helmet, an Axe and a Hammer (?) on a red background. B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L ! Then you have to yellow edge-protection-poles, a white street lantern, two lights and an US-Flag above the bay doors. Yes, US-Flag - so what. Please show me the "typical" European Fire Station in the 30's. In Germany, at the end of the 30's there would be real ugly flag and the engine would be green... And there is a Alarm box in front - just in case the company is on a call and a citizen reports a fire. Or if a citizen wants to cheat the society - he/she pulls a false alarm. But especially in front of a fire station this is a very bad idea... 4.2. Second Floor. The star of the second floor is the furniture, no question. But: No table? No Beds ? No Shower or Lavatory? Not at least one of those elements? You have a kitchen and a sofa: my favorite: a fridge, with two cans of water and sausages. Design: All thumps up! a Ping-Pong-Table ( I never saw one in a US-Fire station...): The kitchen is also very well designed: An oven, a sink, boards... On the other side, there is big brown sideboard: The front wall was also a challenge for me: Lots of little plates and tiles. And some "Stuck" above the windows with a new building technic. 4.3. Roof. The absolute design climax is the "1932" which is made from a lot of little tiles and some technic parts: I guess this took forever to develop and right now there are running some mentally damaged naked designers through the floors in Billund, Danmark while there shouting 1932 loudly again and again.. For the Bell tower they used a Belville Arc - great idea. But even better: there is bat under the roof. A wonderful detail. For me. The bat himself will have sleeping problems in a heavy fire season... http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/jansued/10197/1932-2.jpg The Bell himself is made from black and golde parts and is attached to a hook inside the roof with a new part: two studs connected with a little rope. Oh, I just notice that I don't have a picture from the finished roof. I will add it later.. 5. Minifigs and leftovers Not much left from 2231 parts. I would have used different heads with different expressions. And the guy with the long blond hair needs a haircut. This is a public service and not the beach! 6. Overall Rating Yes, I will put it in my office. Let the guys think what they want. I'm not an expert in architecture and technical questions - so there is enough space left for another review. But the overall design of this set really hits the point: This is an old fire station from the 30's which - from my experience belongs to the picture of Downtown Anywhere in the US. No question that you can improve or add some details - tiles on the floors, a better fire engine, but the existing details are really oiutstanding Playability: 9/10 - While it is not a play set, you can do a lot with it - see Part II of my review. Design: 9/10 - Colours a great, Design is great - nearly perfect. But just "nearly" - so just 9 Points. Put tiles on the floors, add grass, flowers, improve the tree and add a Bed and a table - then it is a 10. I will do those things and put it here int the next days. Price: 10/10. Ok, its worth it. Or maybe its just that I meanwhile got used to those overprized SW-Sets? Overall: 9,33/10 - definitely a must-have for firefighters. And - it's inspiring. I will start no to improve it, then add a Tiller Truck and chiefs car , then buy the green grocer and built a fire scene and and and. Please also have a look an Part II of this review.....
  15. Juchhu! I received the set today! Review will be done over the weekend... Regards, JanSued
  16. Sorry, I w-w-w-as s-s-s-so exited. For punishment, I buy now 10197 on ebay...
  17. Here are the first pics of the RBR: Follow the thread.. Thea are on the backside of the 10196 instructions, so should be ok to show them. Regards, JanSued
  18. Hi! I've been asked if its fair to enter the contest although I already own one (6 to be honest) If you think the same I will stand back. Greetings, JanSued
  19. Mmmm - Chrome! Ms. Organa's attraction to Vaders new Chrome Hardsuit put a very sudden and surprising end to the rebellion. But instead of being delighted, Mr. Skywalker makes his mind if these emotions origins from their so far hidden father/daughter relationship or is it a more material feeling - which throws a shadow on his parental guidance and education. Regards, JanSued

    Engine 2

Yep, you are right. My first active LEGO Phase. BTW: As I said I could sponser this helmet (new) for a contest: What do the mods think?

    Engine 2

The ladder comes from an old set - I guess this is 25 Years ago... Suggestion: 1. Build a historic emergency vehicle (from Steam to the late 60's) 2. Build a modern or futuristic emergency vehicle 3. Build a 32x32 emergency scene. I'll sponsor a fire helmet as first price.... Greetings, Jan

    Engine 2

These are the other fotos. Ok, the 10197 MniPumper is not a "joke", but there is the potential to make it more accurate. Could be a nice contest: "From Steam to Tiller Trucks - build a historic fire engine..." Let's see if I've eniugh parts for a tiller truck or a rescue. Maybe to revive the "Emergency" TV-Series...

    Engine 2

Hi! I really like the new Lego Fire Station from 1932 - but the fire truck is a joke. Thats why I build another one - maybe not technical accurate (Lafrance oder Seagrave), but playable and nice to fit in the the new Station.... 1959 - Engine 2, B-Shift. Just a small rubbish fire, just good enough for the Rookie. More here... As soon as I got 10197, more will follow.. Regards, Jan
  24. Hello! Gratulations to all other competitors. I would like to sponsor my second prize for another competition - I'm not into the custom minifigs, although its a nice one... Take Care JanSued

    SWAAT

Ok, here are some little changes - but please disregard for the contest. At first I changed the colour uf the escape pods on top from white to black: Then I finished the stern and the interior: I made it more signal orange to provide more safety at FUI - Stops... And then , beside Pilots and Gunners, here is the SWAAT-Team: A Captain, 4 Officers and two MRP-Specialists (Mobile Rocket Pack). and finally: The bad guys! This whole thing could be a great start for a series: A FX 130 space police heavy tank, a prison Nu-shuttle... Take Care, Jan
