    Hoke removes the wax from his ears.

    Hoke taps Throlar on the shoulder. "Shake your head yes if you are of a right mind," he whispers to the dwarf.

    "Sure, we can call it 'If they attack, we fight back',"Hoke says with a wink.

    Hoke just shakes his head, unimpressed with the 'demon.' "That will work. We all need some of the wax before we disembark." Hoke clenches his fist tightly, strangling the intensity out of the orb.

    "I realize that," Hoke says to the dwarf is hushed tones,"I'm trying to stall. Watch and see."

    "Well how much do we have Dr?" Hoke rubs his face as he lowers his head trying to come up with a solution. "No, Camilla, I am not a laborer, but I am an explorer on my way to find land for laborers. I am sorry to tell you we do not have enough wax for your warriors. Could you possibly bring the broodmother out here to meet us? I am afraid we cannot turn off the 'songbox' elsewise we may lose our way. It helps us keep our bearings. We do not wish you any harm, and we would like to secure safe passage for ourselves and those who may follow this favorable air current in the future." Hoke steps further forward, standing atop the bow's draconic figurehead, testing the limits of the 'songbox' "Is there a peaceful way we could come to an amicable solution?" he asks the harpy, straining to see if he could hear the aria at all.

    "I agree. Our comrades don't seem to understand that. We need to secure safe passage for when WE won't be here." "Do we have enough for thirty?" Hoke calls out to the Doctor. He turns back to the harpy. "Sorry to say, but I forgot to ask your name. I am Hoke Ablesword, and you are?" he asks, trying to figure a way out of this that didn't involve the violent yearnings contained within his hand.

    Hoke just groaned on the inside. Surely his quest mates weren't trying to sabotage his diplomatic efforts. He looked back at Germ with a silencing look. "Shhh."

    Is there an unaltered picture of The Destiny's Bounty? That looks legit. I was picturing something more zeppelin-ish.

    Hoke holds back shooting a venomous look at the sorcerer. If he didn't have the guts to step forward in the first place, then he should have remained silent. "I see. I assume that their song will only get louder if they notice we are not being influenced by it." Hoke walks back to the bow of the ship, bumping shoulders with the sorcerer as he passed "Hold your tongue," he whispers. How he desperately wished he had Torc with him around these harpies. "Sorry there, but it seems like we are unable to silence our songbox at this time. I hope that no ill effect has befallen you or your warriors. For those that are in pain, mayhaps they can fly a distance off as we peacefully pass through or use the wax my friend here has offered? Please do give our regards to your broodmother. We are mere explorers passing through on favorable winds trying to find a hospitable place to form a worker's colony." Ask Hoke spoke the metallic black orb hidden within his glove found it's way into his palm. It vibrates fiercely, eager to join in battle.

    "One moment please," Hoke says as he holds a finger up. He makes his way to Dr. Gioconda. "Is it possible to turn down the machine?" He asks in a lowered voice,"Mayhaps we can stay closer to it to cancel out the siren's call and it would not effect the harpies?"

    Hoke shakes his head to the side, trying to get that....beautiful song out of his head. He watches as the armored harpy pulls up short of the airship. He steps forward as it seems his comrades are not up to the task. "Make ready, but don't be obvious about it," Hoke whispers to his quest mates. He steps out further, almost to the very front of the bow. "Hello there,"he says as he waves at the harpy,"We are Representatives of the Crescent Union of Eubric. We are simply making our way through and would like to proceed in the most peaceable manner as possible as you will allow."

    "It should wear off in a bit," Hoke says with a chuckle,"There are a few others in there like that. I am sure with your training that you can do much better than that little shock."

    Hoke reaches over and grabs the brightly transparent yellow gem with dark yellow glittering veins (Ethereal Topaz (Lightning+Stunned)). "Let's see if I can still do this. A bit out of practice, but..." he says as he closes his eyes. He concentrates on the gem and the ethereal web that surrounds everything. He furrows his brow deeper, trying, with difficulty, to tap into that web. He clenched his fist harder around the gem and reached out his finger to touch Ezeran's hand. Zipt! The tiniest of bolts zipped from his finger to Ezeran's hand. "Try to move your hand."

    "Here, you can use these," Hoke says, handing over a specially made leather pouch holding his loose gem collection,"Some of those in there have a little extra trick to them. You may want to practice a bit while we travel to get control of them."

    "A little bauble I picked up in the Fields of Glory from a huge tusked beast. Think you can put it to good use for this quest?" Hoke asks as he tosses the Electro Gear to Germ.

    "Careful madame, we could all be considered monsters if we all took a closer look," Hoke said as he thought about cutting down a monster once as she cried out for help. He would never forget that,"Do they have a history of violence? If not, I prefer we use Diplomatic means, at least at first." "Yes, you may,"Hoke says as he hands over the armor.

    As the crew considers the routes, Hoke removes the Masterpiece Armor and Coat Hanger and equips the Medal of Glory and Warrior Treads. Before he stows his gear he looks up at his quest mates and asks,"See anything in my gear you would like to borrow? If there is a ether wielder amongst us, I have some very interesting gems to use."

    "Hmmm," Hoke thinks to himself, considering the possible routes and winds,"What about this?" Hoke traces a route out on the map (answer submitted).
