  1. I finally got round to photographing the Dewback (a good 18 months after I bought him...) https://flic.kr/p/Lwx18d'>Dewback Patrol by Matt Birdsall, on Flickr
  2. It's his hair style from the 50th Anniversary special.
  3. Cheers! All done with LensFX on the iPhone.
  4. Any landing you can walk away from... by Matt Birdsall, on Flickr
  5. Capaldi's hair may not be unique to him, it could be from another set from another Autumn/Winter wave release.
  6. Necrocraft by Hellbelly, on Flickr
  7. It's shot "on location" at Kirstall Abbey in Leeds. A bit of contrast adjustment, soft focus and "colour grading" in Aperture (using Colour Efex Pro) and then the staff glow was added with LensFX on the iPhone.
  8. Not in mine (Halifax). Unless it was priced at full price but scanned through cheaper of course.
  9. It's a different helmet. Ezra's is an Imperial Cadet Helmet (the same one he wears in "Breaking Ranks).

  14. It's the "Batman of Zur-En-Arrh" costume, originally from a story from 1958, but resurrected recently by Grant Morrison and in the "Brave and the Bold" animated series. Originally it was worn by the Batman of another planet, but when Morrison used it it was a "backup personality" Bruce Wayne had set up in case his own personality was even compromised (talk about being prepared for every eventuality. Wether or not we'll ever see it in a set is anyones guess.
  15. The only figure I've not found so far is Gail.
  16. Another good option would be one of the Canon Powershot "G" camera, like the G15 new, or a G12 second hand. Both support RAW, a wired remote control and are great for close-up work like Lego. An advantage the G cameras have over D-SLRs is a larger Depth of Field, so you can keep more of the scene in focus without having to stop down to really small apertures (like f16-f22) which loses sharpness and makes for long shutter speeds. On the subject of RAW, don't think its the only way to get good quality results. With something like a "G Series" you can set your shutter speed, ISO and aperture manually, you can do a "custom white balance" before you start and every frame will look the same.
  17. Errr...... Yes? :)

  19. He's in the "Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H." cartoon that starts this August (along with A-Bomb, She Hulk and Skaar), so it's always possible.

  23. Grant Morrison's JLA was heavily based on the pantheon of Greek Gods - http://www.comicvine...-142643/?page=2 The "Superman as Jesus" symbolism is interesting, as he's also been viewed as an analog of Moses (his parents sent him to safety in a "basket" (rocket) etc.)
  24. Could a Gingerbread Man be misconstrued as racist? Now if it were a Gollywog I'd understand.
