MOC: Rebel Short Range Space Transport (SRST)
TheTacoMan replied to TheTacoMan's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Revision 2: Still not as happy with the cockpit, but overall i like the look and colors. Short Range Rebel Trasport, AKA 'Space Bus' -
thanks, i never noticed lol

Yeah, i like the idea, how they portray famous scenes. I don't think they could replace battle packs, but rather, supplement them. Sometimes i want a cheap SW set that inst just 4 of the same mini figs and a crappy vehicle

MOC: Rebel Short Range Space Transport (SRST)
TheTacoMan replied to TheTacoMan's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I tried to use only those two sets (there are only a handful of parts that arent from those sets, but i could easily replace bricks to make it into a specific colour scheme. I was thinking black/red -
Product: Jedi Defense I 7203 Theme: Star Wars EP1 No of pieces: 58 Minifigs: 1 Release: 2002 Price: $7.99 Product: Jedi Defense II 7204 Theme: Star Wars EP1 No of pieces: 52 Minifigs: 3 Release: 2002 Price: $7.99 Found these deep in my collection and realized we had no review of them on Eurobricks! Seeings as they are basically meant to go together, i reviewed them together. Also, yes i am aware that i have placed the wrong Jedi in the wrong Set (Obi wan should be in 1 and Qui Gon in 2 instead of how i have pictured them), but i took the pictures before i looked it up on brick shelf. Sorry for the bad condition, i played with them a lot when i first got them :P. Box Shots Taken from Brickshelf as i have long since lost the boxes Mini figures Jedi Defense II comes with Qui Gon and two battle droids. I've heard that this is the only set to contain a red-torso'd 'security droid'. The droids are using good ol' 'megaphone blasters' Here's a close up of Qui Gon Jedi Defense I Has only 1 Minifigure.. Obi-wan. The droideka's are actually brick build, quite engeniously and using no strange or unique parts (apart from a plethora of droid arms). Here's a close up of Obi-Wan Here's a close up of a droideka For the small price and brick count, the minifig count is expected. Although, 3 mini figs in a peice with only 52 bricks (Jedi Defense 2) is quite good. Jedi defense 1 essentially IS mini figures (if you consider the droideka's as minifigs) Jedi Defense II The only other included component in Jedi Defense II is a small door. It slides open using flat bricks Misc Shots Obi Wan and Qui Gon prepare to attack... Obi Wan and Qui Gon stand off agianst 2 droidekas Broken Droid arm... Took it out of storage after a few years and it snapped straight away Overall Variety of pieces:8/10 - Not much, but what do you expect? The plethora of droid arms used in the droidekas, as well as extra guns/binoculars/trans pieces are very nice. The door is pretty standard Playability:9/10 - The opening scene of the Phantom Menace was very important to me, as it symbolized the return (although, somewhat lackluster) of star wars to the big screen. It's very fun to act out the opening scene, which is possible when you combine the two sets. The door is pretty useless, but does at a little to playability, or making vignettes. Build: 7/10 - I can barley remember how it went, but it would not have taken more than ten minutes for each set Construction: 10/10 - While they look a bit ugly, the droideka design is brilliant! The door is also fairly sturdy. Minifigs: 9/10 - Can't complain, even though they are still the old 'yellow' style. IMO, Liam Neeson and Ewon Mcgregor were the only two decent actors in the new Star Wars films, which is why i'm proud to own their mini figures ^_^. Also has the 'rare' security droid. Price: 9/10 - Seven dollars is fair for these tiny sets Overall: 52/60 Conclusion: A very old set, but still a good one. Basically, two small scenes that combine to make a... slightly less small scene, but an impressive scene at that :P

A group of rebels have successfully defeated and captured an imperial landing craft! Crafty Rebel engineers have managed to upgrade their own scout speeder to give it short range space capabilities, enough to get it up to the big cruisers in orbit for resupply, or to transport troops down to the planet. This set is made about 95% out of pieces from sets #7667 and #7668. Enjoy! Side View: Overall Gunner Closeup: The rebel gunner, taking a few trophies from their defeat of the imperial landing craft, also found them quite useful for breathing in high altitude. Unfortunately, he still has to hop inside with the other two rebels when they go into orbit Front View: The Cockpit: Side Closeup including megaphone blaster!: This ship utilizes the 'invisible windscreens' made famous with 'The Twilight' The Other Side: Back View: With the troop carrier open: Hope you enjoy!

unfortunately, i couldn't bring myself to finish this game. While the story was brilliant, the gameplay was fairly poor, and it was complimented by absolutely shocking camera angles and a vast array of bugs. Such a shame, if they'd worked on it for a few more months, it could have been really really good

its a scam, but a VERY elaborate one. That is quite an impressive collection. Anyone seen the pictures of 'his' collection anywhere on bricklink or any other site? That would be a dead giveaway

IT'S A TRAP!!!

same problem here, on normal BD's the hands snap sometimes. I just replace them with the spare white skeleton arms i get in almost EVERY set that has skeletons in it...
-
but i don't want to sell you death sticks, I want to go home and rethink my life ... Seriously though, they could easily do 'planet' sets. Imagine the tatoine or courasant sets almost exactly like the death star, a big sphere to symbolize the planet, and a whole bunch of quartered off rooms. They could even do a MASSIVE tatooine that features scenes from all 6 movies! Another set that i would seriously consider would be the Jedi Temple, it's not as prominent in the movies, but there are a lot of rooms they could add. Lastly, YES these amazingly detailed play sets are a godsend, i would rather save up and buy the single death star or melinium falcon than buy 5 or 6 'lesser' sets, hands down.
-
in the movie, the door was about that big in comparison to the figures. IF there's no AT-AT in the set, they need to release an AT-AT alongside it that comes with chewbacca and 2 ewoks. Also... Ewok battle packs!!!

There's already a set on ebay that is $650 with FREE shipping, so if all else fails... -
The Ebon Hawk (Ship from Knights of the Old Republic): Just the ship itself. Could have a host of features, including the various 'rooms' that were in the game Minifigures: Revan, HK-47, Bastilla, Carth Onasi, Mission Vao, Zaalbar (maybe even Darth Malak) Lady Luck (Lando Calrissian's personal starship) Minifigures: Lando Calrissian, Tendra Risant (His wife), maybe even Han Solo and Chewbacca Luke Skywalker's Jedi Academy (From Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy) I'm thinking a big temple play set, at least as big as the Indiana Jones Kingdom of the Crystal Skull temple playset. Would have a variety of rooms including a few training rooms, Luke's meditation room and an armoury. Minifigures: Jaden Korr (Jedi Academy player character), Kyle Katarn (Jedi Knight player character), Luke Skywalker, Tavion Axmis (Sith from Jedi Academy), a couple random Jedi and a few random Sith Just a few extended universe ideas, i'm not even sure if TLG would have the rights to make stuff like this anyway...

hmmm, seems like there are a few parts missing with this huge set. Were there any missing part problems with the Milenium falcon?
-
Endor battle needs to have 2 speederbikes and an AT-ST AT LEAST to be worth it.

anyone see the death star anywhere yet? (apart from S@H and Ebay) -
Limited to US? If not, i'll enter (i'll pay shipping if need be)
-
In Australia, Anakin's star Fighter and the hailfire droid are almost ALLWAYS in stock, usually at a discount... I'm not that compelled to get either of them, i'd rather hold out for OT sets
-
please no podraces... they are the bane of the SW universe. The arena sounds like a good idea though, It's a shame the PT doesn't have a single environment that has so many classic scenes like the death star in OT. The only re-occurring environment i can think of is maybe the council chambers I would like to see more sets from the extended universe, the rogue shadow from the force unleashed was good, but we need more. I know it would never ever happen but i would KILL for some sets from Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcast, like Luke Skywalker's Jedi Temple. If anyone has played Knights of the Old republic, that has some great lore and would make for some great sets as well. I hear that KOTOR 3 is just around the corner, so maybe TLG can do some work for that :P

In regards to this picture, I notice each box has a symbol on it, does that mean that you build the death star in 4 sections, and each box only has the pieces for each section in it? That would make things a lot easier.... and take up a lot less table space :P
